Just like others have asked, where is a legitimate source of pyrilutamide?

I’m not sure, maybe we should create a thread with reputable sources for RU, Pyrilutamide. That would be helpful. My thoughts are that, if you get sides with orals and topicals of a 5-ari, then it’s probably best to try something else.

Just curious if there have been any developments with sourcing Pyrilutamide? I see that MinoxidilMax now offers it for "research". I know some people are dubious of them but I've used them in the past for minox and topical finasteride and found in these instances the products and service were good. On their site it says it being sourced from China, as there is only one lab currently offers it.

Research results so far are pretty encouraging

the company is not known to have legit product (at least from comments from other users on the internet), so it might be money down the drain, and some bad side effects from an unknown chemical/contaminated chemical. not worth it imo from that company.

Guys I've used dut 0.5mg about 5 days a week for 3 months and a few days ago I decided to stop because I got fed up with the sides and felt it wasn't good to be taking it.

My libido has dropped a lot, erections are infrequent and very weak they're just not happening much any more. Its quite scary but hoping the sides will reverse.

If it takes a couple of months I'm fine with that but I'm worried this could go on forever.

given the half life of dutasteride is 6 months, and you've been on it 3 months, you have a long ride ahead of you before you return to baseline

Even if I start seeing great improvements in 6-12 months I can have peace of mind. Just don't want to be ruined forever.

Thanks. I took my last pill on Saturday and decided no more! I took 60 0.5mg over the space of about 90 days.

Libido and errction quality just dropped so much on it and kept dropping. I went down a terrifying rabbit hole reading about nightmare side effects and people that never went back to normal, that was Sunday night. On Monday night I tried to test my penis and it just shrivelled into a peanut it was awful. I've been open telling people what I've experienced. I've told my work mates. Today I managed to use my imagination and with intense and gentle play I got somewhat of an erection (althouh it was one of those weaker erections that wouldn't be great for sex) and I managed to bring myself to climax and ejaculate for the first time since last week and this is now giving me hope for recovery. I'm going to try and have a gentle bit of play time every day or every second day to try keep my sex organs exercised if that makes sense. I'm gonna try ejaculate several times a week while this stuff runs out of my system. Also gonna try drink lots of orange juice and cranberry juice and water over the next few months because someone told me this might help speed up the process of pushing the dut out of my system. It will be such a weight off my chest if I can start getting harder and harder as the weeks go by. If I see that happening I will be able to relax my mind a bit more. I find when I wake up in my hot bed at night or in the morning my penis is about 50% more full than it is when resting at work, and this tells me that there's still blood flowing in and out of it to some extent. I find stressing and freaking out over it makes it harder for me to stimulate a semi so going to try positive thoughts as much as possible.

You could consider getting your hands on some viagra or cialis. Not as a long term solution, but because they will promote and sustain blood flow in the area which could have some benefit.

Wishing you a speedy recovery. I understand why you're worried, but I don't think it will be long before you return to baseline.

Thank you. I'm trying to focus on positive things and optimistic results right now and its helping to alleviate things. I actually have some of those pills but I never take them although I might try them out a couple times a week to see if they help things. Its the panic and dread of "being doomed forever" that's killing me but if I focus on the positive stuff it helps me feel calm. I'm trying to continue with a normal life as well I did an awesome gym workout this evening healthy food and I'm going to stay focused on my job and also try get more sleep from now on. All I can do is stay positive and hope for a good outcome.

Hey rossybop what’s your thoughts on a second transplant now that you’ve stopped medication. Will you still go ahead with one ?

Not for the time being its not a priority. I'm just focused on getting this part of my life back to normal first and then I will see how I feel about a second transplant. For now this problem has taken precedence.

Where are you getting this information? Dut half life is 4-5 weeks.

I saw in a hair loss lecture by Dr. Jerry Shapiro. on his slide it read that oral dutasteride had a half life of 6 months, which I can believe given my experience with it.

The mind is powerful, and no doubt reading horror stories is making it worse. Side effects are real, I’ve experienced them. But I also experienced psychological effects from the side effects that persisted longer than the actual side effects. The most powerful sexual organ is your mind.

Sexual desire comes naturally, if you try to force it while dealing with side effects you’re going to fail, and only make yourself feel worse. This could turn into a vicious cycle that could turn into performance anxiety. 5mg of cialis is something you should start taking now, it helps with blood flow, good for work out pumps. It certainly helps with any issues you might be experiencing.

But use it sparingly, as you don’t want to become psychologically addicted into believing you need it.  You’ll rebound soon enough. Another great thing to take is maca root. That’s something you can always use. It’s good for your virility. The side effects will go away, just let it rebound naturally and don’t try to force it.

I've pretty much recovered which is great. But defo not going back on dut.

Wondering now should I just go back on fin and minox.

Took 13 days to heal and I had to train my mind to stay positive and focused on healing when suffering from the dut sides.

You probably misunderstood half life with serum concentrations detectable. All data shows that half life is about 5 weeks, even in the prescribed medicine AVODART information says so (https://www.accessdata.fda.gov/drugsatfda_docs/label/2008/021319s015lbl.pdf). Yes it can be still detectable after 6 months but that is not half life period.

So True.
I think that most of the "sides" are noceto effect.
I don't know if I am "genetically lucky" or if it is my mind, but I see that my libido and my erections increase the first weeks after duta injections.

The sides are certainly not nocebo. They are very real. A massive proportion of fin and dut users have watery semen - myself included.

I had mild sides on fin for 3 years. Dut was another level altogether. Total impotence and genitals shrivelling up for no reason, and I am not the type of person that psyches myself into side effects.

I am not saying that nobody has sides from fina. I'm saying that most of them are not real in the greater number of cases.

The most paradigmatic side is the "post finasteride syndrome" (PSF).
As you know, some people say that they lost their erectile function with fina and it never recovered, even when they stopped the drug.

I am very close to the university of Trieste, Italy.
The  genetic department of the university is conducting a research on PFS, to see if it is real.
The chief prof strongly believed that PSF is a real thing* so, if he had a prejudice, it was in the sense that is NOT a nocebo effect.
but, at the moment, the general consensus of the research group  is that it doesn't exist.

*he thought that people reporting permanent impotence had some sort of gene activation that destroyed their erectile function forever.
This is was the research was conducted by the genetic department.

It would be interesting to know if there is some relation to genes and somebody could check it through 23andMe or other services before starting fin.

Then Dr. Jerry Shapiro made mistake in his presentation. Can you give me a hint where I can see his presentation? I would like to remind him about this mistake. I am done with dut as well. After 3 weeks I suddenly got sides. I am not saying that dut is sides free, quite opposite. I am just trying to calm down people a bit because if somebody starts believing that half life is 6 months it can cause mental frustration. Half life is 5 weeks, after that time it will start loosing potency. It will still stay in body though for 6 months as shown in the below article. But somebody should start feeling better toward 6 months I guess. If half life was 6 months, this would mean you can not expect to start recovering sooner than 6 months at all. But this is not the case, half life is not 6 months!

"The half-life of dutasteride is known to be 5 weeks in humans [16], so it takes at least 5 to 6 months for wash-out. In addition, 6 months to 1 year is usually needed for restoration of the structural and functional changes caused by long-term dutasteride treatment in various organs"

Exactly, side effects are real, but believing that it will last 6 months isn’t set in actual clinical data.
