Please help, NW6 looking for best FUE surgeon in Europe

Hi everyone, I am new to this great forum and I would appreciate some advice. I am 50 y.o. an probably a NW6. For years have used toppik to conceal my hair loss and now I have decided to go for a hair transplant. I do not consider FUT as I could not shave my head in case the transplant goes wrong. I am looking for the best FUE doctor to deal with a complicated case like mine. I have seen some good reviews/cases of Resul Yaman (who I got a quote from for 4500 grafts ) and Bicer. Other doctors whose records I have seen on the internet are Cinik, Tayfun, Acar (Cosmedica) and HLC (Ankara).

I am doing my own research but I would also appreciate some advice on the above mentioned doctors or on other surgeons who specialize in FUE for NW6. Did any of you have an HT starting from a situation similar to mine?

Thanks

Welcome to the forum @Italianhair. Are you taking medication to strengthen your donor? Can I ask why you have limited yourself to only Turkish doctors? Whether you have FUT or FUE you will still be left with scars in your donor area. If you choose an excellent surgeon who is good at high Norwood patients you will mitigate your risk of failure. All surgery comes with risks. My recommendations would be Hattingen, Eugenix and H+W. Also of those you have chosen Dr Bicer is also good. All the best!

Thanks for your advice. I have just started dutasteride 0.5 mg daily after been of finasteride for many years. I also use minoxidil 5% daily. I am not looking only at Turkey for my ht but I do not know any doctor that does FUE for high NW outside Turkey. I will check Hattingen as you adviced. I have seen good reviews of Resul Yaman. Can I ask you what is you opinion on this doctor? Thanks again.

Hi @Italianhair..welcome on board ..my first piece of advice to you would of been to commence meds and give it some time to see how the donor strengthens up but I see you’re already on fin and minox for a period of time .

Also your beard unfortunately is not great which would of been you’re only chance of making a decent go of worthwhile restoration.

Again all the above is my humble opinion and a roundabout way of saying not a suitable candidate….but I’ll be proven wrong I’m sure .

it pains me to say it but have you tried shaving your head ?

Thank you all for your kind advice. I know I am a difficult case but I would be just happy to improve my current situation. Even with my severe hair loss, using toppik, I am able to look decent, although it is getting more and more difficult. If I cant have a decent coverage, I may decide to keep using toppik, or to go for a scalp pigmentation. I have asked Hattingen, Pinto and Zarev for a consultation. I am also considering Resul Yaman and Bicer. They both have some interesting track record with NW6s.  Clearly, the result if a transplant is subjective and there is no guarantee of a positive outcome, but at least I want to choose a reputable doctor and avoid scams. That is why this forum is so valuable to me and any advice is welcome.  Thanks again!

If you have a good budget I'd highly recommend Fuegenix in The Netherlands. He has created really good results with very little grafts.

This guy (https://www.haarweb.nl/forum/showthread.php?t=40531&highlight=fuegenix) needed only 2600 grafts, he is not yet NW6, but the results are amazing imho, especially considering that he uses so few grafts, which is great for the donor area.

But again, he might be a bit pricey.

For estimation, you need to grow your especially the donor area, very hard to understand the potential when you shave it.
