Lots of overthinking going on here …John is in the midst of a 3 stage process …he’s about halfway through it ..bank grafts ,don’t bank grafts 🤷‍♂️ he will look a million dollars at the end of it all ..and you can take that to the bank !!!

Nobody is denying that, we're just discussing the details and principles in general. Nobody is taking a shot at John.

You have 310 posts in a short period of time, you also have posted from a point of knowledge. It’s obvious you’re either a burner account, or someone who was previously banned. Your posts have been reported already.

A mandatory two week vacation is in order.

Dude is welcome here, I’ve done my best to answer all his questions! Hadnt appreciated just how new the account was on HRN, but I have to agree with Melvin 310 posts in 11 days when you havent even posted a result is defo suspect. Can’t prove it, but defo suspicious! Strikes me as trying to quickly build a credible account.

Ok, but i didn't see him being offensive or smth like this and i didn't notice that he is spamming. He is expressing in civilized manner. Banning him seems overly sensitive for my taste. If he is "suspicious", observe him further, idk guys 😆 Anyway Melvin will do as he wants 😅

Introduction

So I would first like to start by saying thanks to this amazing community. I can’t wait to give back and share my journey.

Currently I am one day post-op from my procedure at Eugenix Hair Sciences.

Why I chose Eugenix

After being rejected by a forum recommended doctor due to my extensive hair loss I had lost hope that there ever was a chance for me to have a transplant, so I distanced myself from transplants. However, I came back to this this forum and stumbled across Eugenix.  Witnessing the results of Zoomster, and paddyirishman (to mention a couple) I began to regain hope. After a consultation with the Eugenix doctors, they determined I was viable for a hair transplant, as much to say I got the ball rolling straight away to get there.

Travelling to India

I traveled to India the day prior to my procedure so I could undertake the pre-opp blood tests required by the clinic. I would say to those who haven’t traveled to India before you should prepare yourself for the hustle and bustle which is Delhi immigration. However once I passed immigration I sailed through the airport and was greeted by the driver outside the gate who took me to the Hilton hotel. The hotel is conveniently located a 2 min drive away from the clinic

 Surgery Planning

Through the video consults it was planned to go for 6500 grafts to get full coverage. However, after reviewing my donor in person Dr Pradeep felt it was not the best and that I should instead plan a two stage approach equating to 4000 in the first sitting and 2500 in the second sitting for the crown. My head shape also provided a challenge as I required more grafts to achieve coverage. We discussed designs and I was more than delighted with what he proposed. Dr Pradeep really wanted to put emphasis on my temples, as he believed by restoring these he could make a huge cosmetic difference. Though my research I also have realistic expectations, which the doctor appreciated.

Surgery

The surgery was split over three days.

Day 1

Day 1 compromised of Dr Pradeep doing the slits.  1200 were extracted and implanted into my hairline. During the extractions, I heard Ravi who is the Eugenix extraction master call for Dr Pradeep (in my head I thought “Oh no”). Dr Pradeep asked me to sit up and broke the news “Your donor is brilliant and we can easily get 4000 grafts, we are going to change your plan” To which point Dr Pradeep began to dance with joy in the operating room, with me and all the technicians joining in too! If there ever was such a thing as passion, then that has to be it.

Day 2

Started with Dr Pradeep lowering my hair line by 1 cm to be 8cm from the midpoint of my eye brows and working back towards crown area. Even though I had the donor to go for full coverage in a single session Dr Pradeep felt it would be prudent to keep it as a two stage approach and do the crown later in the year (I am totally happy with this approach by the way).

The implantation focused on the temple area (nearly 400 in each). The day finished on 800 implanted. The temples seem to take along time as there was lots of graft splitting required and very meticulous implanting. I have also been informed that these temples are Dr Pradeep’s biggest in terms of graft to date (I feel honoured!)

Day 3

3300 grafts were extracted and implanted over a very long day! I didn’t sleep to great either which caused me to bleed more that previous in the days. However the thought of having hair once again carried me over the finish line!

Special Mentions

First would like to say thank you to Dr Pradeep. He is more than just a doctor, just being in his presence you get a warm energy. He genuinely loves what he does and will do everything in his skill and ability to give you best possible outcome . He is nothing short a legend and has the most loveable personality! Both him and Dr Arika have created a unique culture at Eugenix whereby everyone works with in-harmony with such happiness and pride. I was fortunate enough to have dinner with Dr Pradeep and two other patients (Tony and Yasir) at the eugenix farmhouse, which was an unbelievable experience.

I would also like to say thank you to Anil. Anil too works with so much love and passion. He takes that good care of the patients, that you forget your even at a clinic. He has a nothing is too big attitude and will do everything to make your stay comfortable

Also thanks to the technicians. You soon realise that the engine behind Eugenix’s success is the high skill set of the techs. They work tirelessly to drive the Eugenix results. It’s clear that each tech has their specific station, whether that is extraction, implantation, graft splitting, etc. No matter what package you chose you are going to see the same techs and receive identical high quality.

I would like to pay a special thanks to the technician Rajan. Who came to my hotel at 11pm to drop off a spray bottle I had left at the clinic (which I didn’t even realise I had left until I got a call from reception saying someone is in the lobby. Also Rajans massages in the operating room really helped me get through the third day, as I was getting back pain from being lay flat for a long period.

Finally like to say a thank you to Yash who works in media team at Eugenix. As I have got so much from Eugenix YouTube in terms of education, I felt only inclined to give back. So I spent a few hours with Yash giving a couple of interview pre & post surgery. Yash is a very professional, polite man and too cares promoting the Eugenix philosophy.

Concluding remarks

In summary, I can’t get over how amazing the experience has been. The buzz around Eugenix is something special and you forget your even at a clinic. I can’t thank the people of this forum enough for guiding me to Eugenix. I genuinely can’t wait to return again for my crown.

I could go on forever writing about my experience, but  I shall leave it here. I will be checking in regularly and sharing my journey with you all.

Just to update, I finished my 2nd procedure at Eugenix on the 10th October. I had a total of 2795 grafts (1585 scalp+ 1200 beard) for my crown. Dr Pradeep was able to use some of the grafts to improve the parting corridors and the retrograde area just behind the temples, in addition to the crown. This brings my total graft count to 8,148. Really happy with all the work and how everything went well with the procedure. All the clinic staff where amazing as usual, and again I blown away with work rate and skill of the Eugenix Techs. Hoping my recovery is as seamless as the first sitting.

Cheers! Know that feeling well! You just have to remind yourself this hair restoration game is marathon and not a sprint (especially for us high norwoods). I've given myself a two/three year programme to achieve the result I want and factored in that I could need three passes. I guess what distracts me is knowing each day i'm closer to where I want to be!

Cheers Gents! Crazy to think how fast the industry has evolved over the past few years! I think to most people it's clear as day i've had a hair transplant (being a slick bald NW7 you really can't hide it). but the common comment I get off people is how much younger I look (which also makes me think how old was I looking before the transplant 😆). The thing i've probably noticed the most since having the HT is how much more people approach me and engage in conversation, for example I find work colleagues and strangers are just generally making more conversation with me and are just that little bit more friendlier & politer. I mean this could just be a by-product of the increased confidence i've got from having hair, but something i've personally noticed.

I hear you and can relate!!
inclusion and diversity come in many forms… gender race color gets the limelight and appreciation… but there a subtle form of exclusion here that remains under appreciated.

100% The Simspons nail this quite well on the episode titled 'Simpson and Delilah'. Portrays all the clichés of being a bald man who goes on to get hair. Even more hilarious that they call the hair loss medicine 'Dimoxinil'. A well worth watch if you haven't already!

Month 12 Update.

So it’s been exactly a year since I had my Hair Transplant at Eugenix in March 2022. It’s quite hard to put into words how I feel, but it has just been a pleasure to see my hair grow back. There are often moments where I just stand in front of the mirror shaking my head with amazement, and questioning if this is all a dream. I didn’t realise how much impact baldness had on many areas of my life until I reflect and compare it. But I have certainly gained more confidence now from looking at my age.

I want to offer my highest thanks to Dr Sethi and the Eugenix team, when I first contacted the clinic in late 2020, I had come off from a bruising from a good few forum recommended Doctors, who told me that I was not a candidate for a hair transplant and destined me to a life of baldness. But credit to Eugenix they just don’t find problems and gave me the reassurance I could achieve a good result. So I hope my results go a long way for gents who have been denied a shot a surgery, that it is possible in the hands of a capable clinic.

Results-wise, the front and mid-scalp have reached their peak. But the decision by Dr Sethi to put grafts behind the temples and above the humps in the second sitting is paying off. It allows me to pull off a parting style, which was always the style I wanted to do. The crown is starting to fill in and each month, I’m seeing less and less scalp. The donor just continues to blow my mind, being an NW7 my biggest fear was a patchy-looking donor, but 5.8K scalp grafts later I’m getting my hair cut with 1 guard with very little detection of a transplant.

Going forward, I’ll probably use this as my last update for the front and mid-scalp, as you can see there isn’t a whole lot of change happening now. Given the success so far I do keep flirting with the idea of slightly lowering the hairline and maybe getting a widow's peak, so a third sitting next year could well be on the cards, but need to give the crown 12 months before pulling the trigger.

Such an insane result John!

Personally I wouldn’t touch your hairline. It’s absolutely spot on where it is and I’d you do have some extra grafts in the bank, I’d be adding density to any weaker spots once you’ve seen the full results in the crown. But that’s just me!

Cheers Ryan bud! You're probably right tbh, a third pass to focus on the density will most probably be what i'll do (should I need).

I’d agree with Ryan, mate. Your front looks great. If you’re going for another HT, just top up the density in the thinner areas. Great to see what the HT has done for your confidence levels. A fantastic job all around and testament to how fantastic Dr Sethi and his team are.

It looks like the crown is just beginning to fill in. Almost 5 months right?

Speaking about whether to lower the hairline or fill in weak spots, I don’t even know if you will have any weak spots after 6 more months. Certainly it’s possible to get a widows peak as you say.

Your lateral humps now look like the thickest part of your scalp. They are untouched. I guess that’s dr Pradeep’s donor management since those humps are the most vulnerable area to thinning compared to the deeper parts of the donor. Still, I wonder if he’d consider using them in the future if they seem stable.

but there is no rush. If you get yourself into a position you’re happy with, you don’t have to use those grafts preemptively. You can just wait and see how it goes and react accordingly. You might even remain stable for good now.

Anyway, looks like a proper flagship result for Eugenix.

Many Thanks Rafael, yes just short of five months with the crown! They did actually take from below the lateral humps area on my first sitting (they utilised most of my donor area), so reassuring to see how thick it is looking now, also a good sign that the finasterisde is working to keep the area stable. Be interesting to assess where I am in six months and understand if third sitting is necessary, or just pure greed.

👏 What a transformation!

Donor has recovered so well. Looks untouched even after so many grafts extracted! Hoping mine looks this well in a few months time.

Crown coming in nicely too. Looking forward to seeing that develop in the coming months 👑
