Hi

After 4 years with prosthesis, despite being NW VI and due to the wounds he was suffering from the use of glues and the practice of sports on the scalp, he could not maintain a desired hygiene and that we are in a time with less  social contact, I decided 1 month ago to stop using it and start the following treatment:

 - Shampoo for dermatitis (Which in a few washes has healed my wounds and has reduced scaling incredibly)
 - Vitamins (1 capsule morning and night)
 - Biotin (1 capsule)
 - Collagen (With main meals)
 - Dermaroller (1 time a week - 30 min. That day after its use I do not apply minoxidil because it leaves my scalp very irritated)
 - Minoxidil 5%
 - Finasteride 1mg (I had not taken it for 11 years, in its day I only took it for about 8 months and I did not combine it with Minoxidil because it used fibers).  This time, due to my diffuse alopecia, I wanted to combine everything at once, as a last try and remove the doubts of "what would have happened if ...".

Despite my great alopecia and after a short time, I observed a very positive response from my scalp (perhaps because it had been covered for years without breaks, previously I used fibers and now it is finally oxygenated and cleansed as it should).  I took photos and observed the birth of new hair and others that due to the damage of years caused are very fine but that I hope I can recover.

Photo of starting situation with injuries.

Photo where I appreciated the little hairs.

Photos evolution 1 month (in my case, the crown is more noticeable)

After this surprise, I decided to contact specialists and, asking several specialists, I ran into Dr Mwanba, who after seeing my condition, recommended that I start using two additional lotions to what I already use.

 - Topical Dutasteride (2 times a week)
 - Dutasteride mesotherapy (once a month)

He told me that both lotions contain Biotin, Panthenol and other natural growth factors that are exclusive to Dr Mwamba and a proven formula that creates a synergistic effect on alopecia superior to using Dutasteride alone.

They have come this week, so I open this post where I will post a photo of the evolution on a monthly basis.  I will try that the photos are in the same place and under the same light so that it is as transparent as possible.

I hope that time continues to give me changes, share them with you and if someone can help (in addition to me) it will have been worth it.

 Thank you.

 A hug fighters!

Seems you still have quite a few miniaturised hairs up top, so with your comprehensive routine, I’m sure You’l be fortunate enough to see some improvement down the line . . Keep us posted!

I’m sure your ‘pelazo’ will ‘come to you’ soon 😉

Thank you very much for your positive comment, seeing little hairs being born after so many years without having medicated me motivated me.  Hopefully there are more changes.  A hug!

Are the red bumps in the second picture from the hair system? Ouch! Looks like it's all healed now though.

I can see the new growth, it's already a great improvement for only 1 month :) I'm sure it will continue!

How's the donor area? Are you thinking of getting a hair transplant?

Thank you very much for your positive comment.  Luckily the wounds went away quickly after using the special shampoo.  My idea is to improve as much as possible and decide what to do.  According to the doctor, is a good donor for surgery, I will include an image. I hope that time will give more changes.  I'll be posting.  A hug!

I update my case:

 From today, I start using:

 - Dutasteride 0.5mg (5 times a week)
 - Minoxidil 5mg oral (daily)

 Replacing:

 - Topical minoxidil 5%
 - Finasteride 1mg

I have done very well with them, but I hope that the change will make me even better.

I continue with Dr. Mwamba's topical dutasteride lotion twice a week and once a month mesotherapy dutasteride (this one I have not applied yet).

In early June my photo update.

 A hug!

Hello,

I did not plan to publish until June, but yesterday I took some photos and wanted to share a thing or two.

This month I have had shedding, hairs fell, I imagine that due to the beginning of new treatments and although you look worse and nobody likes it, from what I have read, it is a good symptom to have it because it means that the treatment is working and that the hairs that  they will come out they will do it in a healthier and stronger way.

I also highlight the importance of taking photos, in my mind I did not see progress when looking in the mirror.  However, when comparing with photos from April you realize where you come from, it improves it and also gives you a boost of energy to continue believing.  You even realize that your hair color has changed, as I have read in other cases on the forum, it has darkened me.

In my next post I will make some more detailed comments on my impressions with my recent change in medication.

Tomorrow I will apply Dr. Mwamba's mesotherapy dutasteride for the first time, he indicated it to me once a month and since he arrived tomorrow he touches me for the first time.  So far I have only used the topical 2 times a week.

 A hug to all fighters!

Hi!

I have already completed the first month with Dr Mwamba's lotions (I started May 9).  I have to say that I have not felt strange side effects.  This month, as I said before, I have applied topical dutasteride twice a week and mesotherapy dutasteride once a month.

After sending an update of my photos to the doctor and seeing that quite a few new hairs are growing (the ones that I put below) he has recommended me to use the mesotherapy dustasteride once a week instead of once a month and continue the same with topical dutasteride.

At the end of May (May 22) I also made the switch to oral Dutasteride and oral minoxidil.  It is too early to assess its effects on hair, I hope they will give a push soon.  My only comment is that some of the first days the oral minoxidil has lowered my tension somewhat (although I take it at night as recommended), but I think that the body is already adapting.

I continue forward, for the hair!

 A hug

Great results.  What strength is the topical dutasteride you apply twice a week and what strength is the lotion you use for mesotherapy?

Thank you very much for commenting and encouraging me to continue improving.

Topical dutasteride is 0.1% and mesotherapy dutasteride is 0.05%

In a few days I will post the photos of the new month.

A hug!!

 Situation reminder:

 - I've been with Dr. Mwamba's topical dutas and mesotherapy dutas for 2 months, I am very happy.

 - I have less than 2 months with dutas and oral minox.

 - I started to medicate in April (finasteride and topical minox) after 4 years using prostheses.

 - I use dermaroller several times a week

 Go for the hair!

A hug colleagues and happy summer!'

Unbelievable!

so you’re using both oral Dutasteride and topical Dutasteride? What dosage and how many days a week?

Thanks

At the moment:

Oral dutasteride 5 times a week.
 Oral minoxidil every day.

Topical dutasteride 0.1% twice a week (I'm giving it on the days I don't take oral dutasteride).

Mesotherapy Dutasteride 0.05%: I started giving it once a month, but the doctor saw the improvement and that it did not affect me, he increased it to once a week this month.
