3600 Grafts - Dr Koray Erdogan 13th March 2018

The photos I see show a very typical situation for someone at your post-op stage. I see no reason to worry at all and I would expect that explosion of growth to happen soon.

Thanks mate, I am shedding a ton of hair now from the top of my head, its really scary and I don't understand why its happening, my hair loss was stabilized before I did this, although I did stop taking fin for some months leading up to the surgery and started again after, so this might be a fin shed? It looks like its mostly shedding aaround the transplanted areas as erdogan put hairs into my native hairline and not just the balding areas. Could this be some kind of late shock loss? I look at the hairs and dont see any root, will take a picture later.

4 months

Hey guys, I am four months in now and figured I should update. I have to admit I was hoping for a growth explosion but maybe I am a slow grower, holding my thumbs for the fifth month.. There are some spots that have no visible hairs still, they are fairly obvious in the pictures and seem to be where I had those huge cracks, what do you guys think? I had expected the hair to come more uniformly, perhaps this is not always the case?

I will be doing my first PRP treatment in the hope of stopping my shedding and waking the follicles, hopefully also reviving some of the miniaturized hairs but I'm not holding my breath for that one.

You look great! When r u doing the prp?

Tomorrow I have a consultation and probably the actual prp next week. To be honest I am gutted over my progress so far.. unless some miracle happens in the coming months I just don't see how this will turn out good.. the comparison with my native hairline is jarring... I try to find new hairs between what had already grown to no avail. Would you not be concerned if your 4 month result looked like this?

To be hones it looks totally normal. Now is when the fun starts :)

I got my transplant 2 weeks later than you con Koray and I’m the same

I have these spots with absolutely NO new hairs.. hard to not be worried when its like this. Also I'm sure these bald spots line up to the large cracks I had early on due to the shitty post op wash they gave me. I will post pictures of the cracks and bald spots when I get home.

Yes, but i was more referring to the post operative wash done by the clinic. I was at a specialist today for a consultation on PRP, she said there was no growth at all in my crown, but I read the crown can be really slow so not worrying about that yet. PRP is scheduled for next month. She said my donor is looking great so I'm relieved about that

Week 17

Took some pictures with flash this time, there doesn't seem to be much happening behind the hairline, and I am having a hard time finding multihair grafts, I will buzz my recipient next month and it will be more apparent, but I am seeing very few new sprouts and it looks like the hair that grew last month just got longer and thicker. With only a couple weeks left of trickling growth left, I am hoping that the multi hair grafts have yet to come

Definitely not a fast grower ,but still no cause for concern, just over 4 months is still very early, lots of guys  don't see  real  visible growth til the 5 -6 month mark ,and yes in my opinion the crown does take longer to grow in, it certainly did in my case .I'm sure you will see a real  improvement in the next month or 2

Its concerning since I've had growth in some places for over a month judging by the length of the hair, slow growers I've seen here like deb1982 have had steady slow growth, mostly uniform.. I know its too early to tell but, concerning development so far

If only that was the case that newly planted hair always grows in  unison be it fast or slow ,unfortunately it doesn't always work that way . As I said I really think 4 months is too early to get overly worried, next month or 2 you will see a lot more thickening and growth and in a better position to evaluate things. In saying that of course your concern is understandable, but I'm sure other posters will agree 4 months is still very early on ,if your hair looked like it does at 6 months of course that would be a different matter ..

You're unfortunately a one off bad case then I guess because I've heard nothing but praise for this surgeon

Its 2.5 euros per graft, good luck, hope you don't get the B-team techs out of the 4 parallel transplants he does per day. When you have at least 4 rotating teams of techs per day your margin of error increases astronomically.

Why does it? You talk like they are just some bums off the street. The techs are trained and have been doing it over and over again for years.

You have no idea who the techs are or how long they have worked, or their level of education. My techs were very young girls who didn't speak a word of english and were singing along to Turkish pop music as they were extracting, it was a bizarre experience. Honestly do what you want, I deeply regret going with this clinic, I had not done my research. You get around 10 minutes with the doctor, no one but your coordinator speaks English, doctor does 4 other surgeries in parallel to maximise profit, he didn't even inspect the graft placement on the second day. And worst of all if something clearly isn't right they won't inspect you  and just tell you to wait 15 months. Save up some more money and wait for Konoir mate, I wish I had.

This is ridiculous! Classic bait and switch tricks played on international customers by what so called elite clinics!  if I were you I would post documented negative review on every single online forum not in English but in all languages such as German Italian Spanish and so on and I would leave the same negative feedback on Google, yelp  ...etc  so those frauds know that international patients can stand out when they get disappointed. Ask your country’s embassy in turkey to suggest an attorney and then discuss all legal options.

Save up why? High price doesnt mean better results. I could list an old t shirt on ebay for £1000, doesnt make it any better than a £5 one.

Of course, but doctors like Konoir are pricy because they devote their full attention to you, he only does a single transplant a day and supervises every step of the process. But like I said I can't make the decision for you, sure Erdogan has nice results and you might become one of those, I'm just talking from my own perspective.

Have you considered Dr Maras in Cyprus? Very good results and supervises every step also.

I know the waiting game is hard, but isn't it a little early to discuss lawsuits and all?

a) Erdogan has top notch results, foreigners or not, in this very forum and on many other forums

b) Every clinic has bad results (and we do not even know if this is going to be a bad result)

c) If I remember right, there is a Konior case in here with exactly the same crusts and gaps after a couple of days like discussed at page 1

d) Day 0 pics look good in my opinion.

Just wait 2 more month and then start to worry. There is nothing you can do now anyway. And the same for some other users: Please do not make the poor guy crazy when he is the most vulnerable.
