Payam
I’m no expert but I am 2 months post op FUE. Judging from your pics right after surgery it looks like they did a marvelous job. Hairline looks natural and density looks good. I think the pics right after surgery is the best indication of how the Dr. did - because after a couple days, you start to shed some hair and then the mind goes crazy. I was convinced a week or 2 after surgery that the tech that implanted the right side did it worse than the tech that implanted the left side. The reality is, you won’t know how your transplant looks until many months in. I’m at 2 months and I have no way of knowing how it is going to look ultimately. But from the pics you’ve shown, especially right after surgery, I think you are fine. The hairline is far too aggressive, i am suffering from mpb and right now the hairline is probably around 1cm too low. I dont know how i didnt realize this during my consultation, everything was moving so fast but have been in absolute agony over it for the past week. I will for sure require electrolysis or some other type of restoration to move it up in the future.

Payam
Day 13, first day back to work Had quite some anxiety about going back to work over the weekend until I realized I don't really care what people think, I'm not going to openly advertise my procedure but if some asks I will be open and honest. I don't really think you can tell either. Recipient is a bit red but since I am darker you it's not that obvious, what do you guys think?
Senior Member JayLDD Posted March 26, 2018 Senior Member Share Posted March 26, 2018 Why do you say that brother? You're very highly strung and can't look realistically at your own situation and assume the worst. The post-ops look very good and I've seen the cracking issue before with other top surgeons who have said they didn't think it's an issue. I've also personally seen good results where hair fell off early with the scabbing before. The hairline design is very aesthetic in my opinion, if its too high it will not look natural as men without hairloss don't have dense and full hairlines too high up in 99% of cases. It has a little bit of recession so it doesn't look like a teenage hairline in the slightest. It looks good. Worry less, be excited if anything because on the balance of probabilities you will probably have a good result and nothing as of yet is particularly troubling. I demand a lot from my doctor and I think this is in order, having said that I agree about the design itself, the shape is not bad, its just a bit low. As for the cracks I believe they indicate poor post operative washing, the first wash is critical in this from the opinions I've seen from other doctors. We are all in the same boat here and while there is some responsibility which falls on the patient as far as research and expectations go, ultimately the surgeon or doctor must make the most ethical choice for the patients own good, and are utmost responsible to give full disclosure of the short and long term risks. In any case, I'm hoping for the best and will keep you guys updated on my progress, writing here has been cathartic =)

Senior Member HG1 Posted April 17, 2018 Senior Member Share Posted April 17, 2018 Hi Payam, Please try and relax my friend. Your just over 4 weeks into a 52 week journey (Minimum). As stated previously the cracks look bad, but are not uncommon. It will get worse before it gets better - at least until 4 months. As regards you hairline being too low, I think it looks just about right. I did think the same about my own, but you will get used to the new look (mine was non existent previously). My experience with Dr Koray was that he asked me on at least 3 occasions if I was happy with the hairline and also his team gave input. From the final line being agreed on, I had around 16 hours before the procedure started. Plenty of time for myself anyway to review the hairline and request a change. The good news is you picked a great Doctor, who consistently produces fabulous results. Good luck over the next few months. 5024 grafts with Asmed Clinic. Payam
Month 2 update Hey guys, its been 8 weeks now since my hair transplant and it has been a difficult period for sure, but I have basically just been trying to get on with my life and bit think about it too much. About week 4 my scalp and donor started itching horribly so I went to the dermatologist who said I had mild folliculitis. My recipient is really red right now which is very worrying, clinic said its due to inflammation indicating growth, has anyone heard this before? Super worried about the redness because it didn't look nearly as red two weeks ago!

It's a common minor issue after transplants and occurs and goes away naturally, you should see a doctor if it worries you but it's not a serious issue and doesn't require treatment or a doctor in any case I've ever seen. Your redness certainly isn't out of the ordinary and there is no visual appearance of folliculitis anywhere. My redness didn't go until about 12 months post op. Still slight improvement month on month even at that stage. Hello mate, yes i agree with him being a moron, and me a bigger one for taking them but he is a very accomplished specialist in my city so I trusted him at the time. However aftter consulting my friends who are doctors they agree that giving me the strongest antibiotics for mild folliculitis was really lazy of him. Im paranoid about the redness whenever im in the sun even with my baseball cap.
Payam
Day 80 update Hello again my friends, I figured I will make more regular updates since things are happening faster now. During the past two weeks I have started seeing some growth, mainly in the temple areas. There are weak/bald spots here and there, and the follicles are not nearly dense enough so I am hoping there will be even more hairs appearing in the coming weeks. This period has been the most difficult so far, I keep going into the bathroom every hour to look for new hairs, I feel like an idiot. On the other hand, Its also the first time I am entertaining the prospect of actually being able to have a proper haircut by the end of the year, the thought really lifts me up. =) will do an update in ten days on the three month mark, density is my worry now (when isn't it?), hoping for more hairs to start sprouting between the ones already there. Thanks for the support so far! Ps. the pictures are not very appealing, I have oily skin and we have a heatwave here, just a heads up incase you were eating a burrito while browsing
Payam
3 months or 93 days I am hoping for a growth explosion this month as I am starting to worry a bit about the density, especially the bald spots, but its still early to say. I am trying to see if there are tiny hairs coming there but its really difficult to tell.. on a plus note my donor itch is almost completely gone. On a negative, I am shedding some hair from the back and top of my head, not sure why but hoping it will stop soon. Crown has seen no improvement as far as I can tell. Senior Member JayLDD Posted June 12, 2018 Senior Member Share Posted June 12, 2018 Looks fine. I had no visible improvement at 3 months, just a few stray signs of sprouts. 4 - 5 months is when major changes start to become visible. 1 HT1: https://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/topic/48494-asmed-koray-erdogan-3070-grafts-april-10th/ HT2: https://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/topic/51224-3038-grafts-fue-asmed-koray-erdogan-30th-april/

I wish you all the best. Hey! Thank you for the kind words =) i looked at your thread and wow, if I have anything like your progress I will be over the moon!.I am a bit paranoid because I can't see any new hairs, could it be that some have an early burst of growth and then nothing? I have read about the different stages of growth and from what I can conclude you don't really experience any NEW hairs after the first four months, only maturation and thickening of the current hairs, is this correct?
