Senior Member hairlossPA Posted January 7, 2018 Senior Member Posted January 7, 2018 Norwood 4-5. Gun to your head. You can only pick 1 surgeon to deliver a full head of hair. Who do you choose and why?
Senior Member hsrp10 Posted January 8, 2018 Senior Member Posted January 8, 2018 Konior, no brainer. go dense or go home Unbiased advice and opinions based on 25 plus years of researching and actual experience with hair loss, hair restoration via both FUT & FUE, SMP, scalp issues including scalp eczema & seborrheic dermatitis and many others HSRP10's favorite FUT surgeons: *Dr. Konior, *Dr Hasson, Dr. Rahal HSRP10's favorite FUE surgeons: *Dr. Konior, *Dr. Bisanga, Dr. Erdogan, Dr. Couto (*indicates actual experience with doctor)
Senior Member Speegs Posted January 8, 2018 Senior Member Posted January 8, 2018 First off stabilize the loss. I have a personal bias for Gabel because he did me right, but Konior would be on the short list too. Hair loss patient and transplant veteran. Once a Norwood 3A. Received 2,700 grafts with coalition doctor on 8/13/2010 Received 2,380 grafts with Dr. Steven Gabel on 9/30/2011 Received 1,820 grafts with Dr. Steven Gabel on 7/28/2016
Senior Member mikeyhwk Posted January 8, 2018 Senior Member Posted January 8, 2018 Depends on the surgery type. if its fut Konior if its fue Lorenzo but Konior slides in just behind him.
Senior Member Ernie Posted January 8, 2018 Senior Member Posted January 8, 2018 If I’m a NW 4-5, I go FUT cuz I gotta lot of ground to cover. And if it’s FUT, I’ll go with Dr. Rahal. Mind you my only experience is with Rahal. Full disclosure. I’m biased. 3185 FUT with Dr. Rahal on 2/17/16 http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/eve/182611-fut-3185-dr-rahal-day-after-pics.html 1204 FUT with Dr. Rahal on 3/27/17 http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/eve/186586-round-2-rahal-1204-fut-frontal-third-same-area.html ---> total of 4389 grafts to my frontal third via FUT ---> 1mg finasteride daily since 1999
Regular Member fueguy Posted January 8, 2018 Regular Member Posted January 8, 2018 FUE in US (Canada too) - Rahal Wong is picking up steam here. hope to see some great work in the future. Outside FUE - Lorenzo Strip - Rahal - Konior - Wong - Ron Shapiro Hairlines in US (Canada too) - Dr. Rahal (hairline king for sure) - Ron Shapiro Crown - Wong, Wong, Wong I had fue with rahal so a bit biassed too.
Regular Member fueguy Posted January 8, 2018 Regular Member Posted January 8, 2018 It's not as cut and dry and pick one. Each will specialize in one or two things: hairlines, crown, temples. Then to throw confusion in the mix you need to look at the procedure. They will specialize in one or two things: fue, strip. Then you need to drill down more: what punch do they use, machine. and why? lots to look at. the only sure thing is to avoid ARTAS and neograft at all cost. The pros will not touch either with the 10 foot pole. Basically means they are an amature.
Senior Member Gasthoerer Posted January 8, 2018 Senior Member Posted January 8, 2018 FUT - H&W or Hattingen for bigger cases, Rahal for smaller Cases FUE - Erdogan for bigger cases, Couto or Feriduni for mid size, Heitmann or Kaan for small cases Konoir somehow was not on my radar. Have to check him out. Arocha and Lorenzo for diffuse thinning have my Attention too. Puuh, it is complicated... 400+ grafts in 2018 and 2900 grafts in 2020 via FUE with Feriduni

I can't seem to find many recent reviews by him, but I do agree everything I see is good.

I can't seem to find many recent reviews by him, but I do agree everything I see is good. If you are an active member of this site and have been researching hair restoration and still haven't heard of Dr. Raymond Konior you haven't done enough research really. Though I will admit he is heavily booked and quite expensive these days (especially for FUE) which may limit the amount of recent posts. But don't be afraid to use the search button, as he and a few select others come up on most people's top 5 surgeon lists. He cured me and cured me for life. http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/eve/attachment.php?attachmentid=57713&d=1394603181 http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/eve/attachment.php?attachmentid=100011&d=1477810459 go dense or go home Unbiased advice and opinions based on 25 plus years of researching and actual experience with hair loss, hair restoration via both FUT & FUE, SMP, scalp issues including scalp eczema & seborrheic dermatitis and many others HSRP10's favorite FUT surgeons: *Dr. Konior, *Dr Hasson, Dr. Rahal HSRP10's favorite FUE surgeons: *Dr. Konior, *Dr. Bisanga, Dr. Erdogan, Dr. Couto (*indicates actual experience with doctor)
