Who does Celebrity Hair Transplants??

Recommended Posts

I'm not sure if this has been brought up before or not but I will ask anyway.

The doctors on this website (Particularly the coalition members) are hands down the best in the world in their field. Doctors like Ron Shapiro, Alan Feller, etc are considered the best. If this is true (and I think it is mind you), this would mean that actors, politicians, and other public figures with money to spend would seek out and only use these guys to do their HT work. Is this the case? I ask because I have never seen it mentioned that one of these docs did work for a particular celebrity.

Thanks

It is not because people with money will necessarily go to the best doctors. Nor that they are more informed about HT. I think that Coalition doctors have their fair share of celebrities, especially those who are based in big cities like NY and LA.

Usually, celebs and the like have "Their people" who would reserach and look into these types of things for them. I highly doubt with the type of resources that they have, they would go into a HT uninformed and with a less then top notch doctor.

I have also wondered why most coalition doctors here do not charge any more (if fact they charge less in some cases) then the standard HT doctor out there. Simple economics, if your doing the best work, you should be in the highest demand and therefore those two factors should easily justify charging more than the standard HT doc. I don't get it. Not that i am complaining icon_smile.gif

Have you ever seen "The Edge"'s hair transplant? icon_eek.gif He's the guitar player for U2, and they've been pretty huge since the early 80's.

Those cornrows look like they were done by one of Bosley's flunkies, imo.

Your question is valid. Unfortunately, many celebrities let their management make most of the important decisions for them. These managers assume that the most expensive or most advertised clinics are the best. We all know this is not even close to being correct. On the other hand, there are many hair transplants performed on celebrities by the so called best doctors in the world. Unfortunately, most of the time these celebrities request complete confidentiality, and these great doctors actually honor the request.

Sorry to disagree with this comment. Actually since they are too busy and delegate the research to their staff, and since the staff can't care much because it is not their head, I would think that celebrities would have a bigger chance of going the a bad doctor.

Think about all those big Hollywood names who got fooled by Madoff...

well some time these celebs do find great surgeons.. For example salman khan, bollywood actor, is allegedly said to have undergone surgery with Dr. Armani and reports are there that Virender Shewag, indian sportsman, have undergone hair transplant surgery under Dr Armani too..........

In regards to who celebrities usually go to for hair treatment, I don't know. However, what I do know is that it's pretty disturbing that quite a few celebrities have no qualms about endorsing ADVANCED HAIR STUDIO claiming to have 'availed' of their 'services'! icon_eek.gif

If people like celebrities where money is no object and they have the donor supply etc etc, they prob rent a clinic for a month install pin-ball machines and Canadian hot-tubs for their entourage then relax and let the ht doc spend as much time as necessary to get everything perfect for the patient I imagine when the likes of Tom Cruise can guarantee a bonus tip for that "excellent treatment" from their doc and his staff it would be more then 1000 of our ht budgets put together, and that's just for the tip...let alone what someone like him would pay for the procedure. Where money is no object, all the money in the universe, more money then God...

Dr. armani is unnecessarily expensive and FUE is not meant for every one. You shoiuld be a good candidate for FUE like three things you should have money, required donar and less area to fill. I know this doctor from pakistan who did hair transpant of bollywood actor salman khan and pakistani prome minister former nawaz sharif and almost all the local celebrities and top pop singers of pakistan its Dr. Nasir Rashid based in lahore and Dr. Sajjad khan based in Dubai. Trust me doing hair transplant on asians is a totally different game with high skin color contrast but these Pakistani hair transplant surgeons are doing much much superior and honest job to build their names whereas in west the industry is mature already and doctors are just trying to make money and do more patients.

Did these celebrities give the doctors permission to disclose this? If not and it was told "in confidence" then you have to ask why they are saying this to begin with. Funny thing is, I know who Salman Khan is and I've heard of at least three doctors that claim to have performed his procedure.

Bottom line is, all hair transplant clinics work on celebrities and no hair transplant clinic works on celebritiesicon_wink.gif

How can you state the above? do u have any facts this is based on? Yes a very few doctors are good in Pakistan and actually only one is approved by this site Dr Humayun and none in India. I think it is an unfair statement to say all doctor are in the US work just to make money and are not honest! Dr Nasir & Dr Sajjad are not even heard of on here so what make them approved? do you have any feedback from there patients? or do you work for them? any case studies?
