He also inquired about filling a left temple defect that resulted from a forceps delivery at the time of his birth. He underwent restoration of his hairline region and the left temple defect using 3063 grafts. Presented here are 8 month postoperative photos. He was fortunate to show strong early growth. Also presented are immediate postoperative and 10 day postoperative graft placement photos. Dr. Ray Konior is a highly esteemed member of the Coalition of Independent Hair Restoration Physicians. We've consulted a few agonizing times and the only thing I can say is I wish I knew you about 15 years ago. I'm sure you've been asked this before, but I can't recall seeing it so I'll ask it again. Your post-operative work is literally clean as a whistle. No other clinic, besides maybe Dr. Gable in some cases, comes close to the same clean looking newly implanted grafts. What do you credit this to? Is your use of epinephrine to control bleeding different than other clinics? Are you more careful at placing the grafts? I've seen the doc work and he doesn't make pre-made openings. They are done individually and every incision is filled with a graft in less than a second. There is not really any time for bleeding to occur. Two others are involved in the process but mostly his lead tech of 17 years. Perfect size of incision for the graft being one of them. His techs are also very disciplined workers and keep the area clean by spraying it throughout the procedure. Maybe he'll chime in, and he'll probably be more modest, but a lot of it comes down to precision. He mostly does stick and place (one opening then one follicle) but when he has a balder patient and does do pre openings, the work is just as clean. The hole is plugged with the perfect size graft and cleaned really well.
