Dr. Raymond Konior
This 46 year old patient requested treatment for his balding crown region. He underwent a session of 3000 grafts to achieve coverage in the balding zone. Graft placement was designed to recreate his natural crown whorl. Presented here are one year postoperative photos. Senior Member densedream Posted July 28, 2014 Senior Member Share Posted July 28, 2014 Nice work doc! It comes to show that crowns take a serious amount of grafts even though the are doesn't appear that large. The picture of the graft placement looks impeccable and dense. Cherry picking is one of the best advantages FUE has. You may only need a minute amount of singles for the crown to replicate/enhance the swirl, the rest should be chunky 2/3/4 hair grafts.Given you have had 2 strip procedures already, a third might be eating away into the predominantly single(and fine) hair graft zone towards the bottom of the donor which would not be beneficial for the crown. Senior Member TommyLucchese Posted August 23, 2014 Senior Member Share Posted August 23, 2014 Very nice result. 2,000 grafts FUT Dr. Feller, July 27th 2012. 23 years old at the time. Excellent result. Need crown sorted eventually but concealer works well for now. Propecia and minoxidil since 2010. Fine for 8 years - bad sides after switching to Aindeem in 2018. Switched to topical fin/minox combo from Minoxidil Max in October 2020, along with dermarolling 1x a week. Wrote a book for newbies called Beating Hair Loss, available on Amazon
