Regular Member Dog Posted August 16, 2014 Regular Member Share Posted August 16, 2014 Coming along well! I'll post some 8 week pics in about 10 days. I am still quite red, but have 100's of dark hairs poking through all over the recipient area which is exciting because I reckon I'm well ahead of schedule based on what I have read. Regular Member hairhair9000 Posted August 17, 2014 Regular Member Share Posted August 17, 2014 thanks ontop I'll keep posting updates here @dog. I was in Chandigarh for 7 days ( mainly to have enough time to recover and to be able to see the Doctor if necessary ) My recipient area was growing rapidly until the shedding kicked in week 3. The peak of my ' ugliness' was pretty much around week 4. Luckily things have started to improve ..... the neighbor kids no longer run away ....LOL Hi Manuel, Congrats, looks like its coming along nicely. I too am looking at going to Chandigarh to see Dr B and i was thinking of hanging around and spending some of my healing time exploring India. Obviously ill be very careful and wont over do it. My travel will consist of seeing and not much doing - no beaches, pubs and heavy drinking etc. - just walking, seeing, taking pictures etc. I will stay in comfortable hotels and be conscious of relaxing and resting when required,Can you give me some tips? This is what i had planned: Day 1: 2500 graph FUE Surgery. Back to the hotel to sleep. Day 2. Check up in morning if required. Relax at hotel. Bandana for some light walks and sightseeing. Day 3. Relax at hotel. Bandana for some walks and more sightseeing Day 4. Wear bandana and maybe fly to another city for some sightseeing. etc etc. until Day 14: Leave india. Wear bandana and maybe see few other countries. Can go to gym and do more strenuous activities.
Senior Member Sethticles Posted August 20, 2014 Senior Member Share Posted August 20, 2014 Hi Hairhair9000, good to know you're getting Dr Bhatti, was the best choice I ever made, however I wouldn't plan on doing much after your HT, find a couch and load of DVDs and avoid going outside at all. If you want to do site seeing do it before HT or plan another trip. If you have any questions to what to expect please PM I am here for you. Senior Member Manuel Posted August 20, 2014 Author Senior Member Share Posted August 20, 2014 as Sethicles indicated, the best thing you can do is to relax. Don't do too much too early. I have made the mistake to go out for a 6 hour sightseeing tour on day 2 past surgery. The consequence was a massive swollen face by late in the afternoon. After that, I did spent most of my time at the hotel watching movies ( had my portable hard drive incl. plenty of shows and movies with me). I only went for short walks in the evening and couple of trips to the Elante Shopping Mall ( retail therapy). Also don't hit the gym too early. Sweating will most likely give you some nasty and painful pimples within the donor area of your scalp.

Regular Member Jimbo34 Posted August 29, 2014 Regular Member Share Posted August 29, 2014 WOW...The HT area is still red after 3 months I too and almost 3 months post op with still some pinkness left. Its not unusual for some pinkness to be still visible even at this stage in fact it can take several months post op to completely disappear. It also always looks worse on photos then in person. Senior Member Manuel Posted November 7, 2014 Author Senior Member Share Posted November 7, 2014 (edited) I can't believe how quick time is going by! Today it is exactly 5 month ago when I had my hair transplant. Whilst more time is needed to get more density, I am very pleased with the result so far. Here are the latest pictures. Senior Member Manuel Posted November 8, 2014 Author Senior Member Share Posted November 8, 2014 Hi Mikeey, I have had no issues on the recipient area, however I have had quiet a few of bumps and sore pimples on the donor area till a few weeks ago. The use of Retinol creme helped me to get rid of the pimples for good.
Senior Member Manuel Posted November 28, 2014 Author Senior Member Share Posted November 28, 2014 Approaching the 6 month mark ( 5.5 month to be exact) and I am pretty happy with the given result so far. My hair at the crown area is still a bit thin, but it is already much better compare to the previous month. Very pleased with my new hairline !!! Regular Member husqvarnawrk Posted December 2, 2014 Regular Member Share Posted December 2, 2014 You should be really pleased, considering you still have some 50% of growth or more to come. I also like the hairline design and the crown swirl is really natural.
