  1. Hi U2 Cant advise you on meds (i am a novice myself), but was comparing your pre-op pics to 6 month updates, and I can see a lot of improvement. Probably the results are not per your expectations, but they are definitely not bad. I think in 2-3 months, its gonna get much better. All the best.. and be positive! I have completed 12 weeks post HT, and I guess next 2 months will be crucial. Hoping for the best myself.
  2. Hi Shane First of all, amazing results!! I was delighted just to see the pics and suddenly have my hopes up. Would be glad if my results are even 70-75%. I want to inquire about the medication you took post-ht and did you took the same pre-ht as well. My HT was done 3 months back (2500 grafts - Dr Bhatti - India). After HT, I was asked to daily take 1 mg generic finasteride, biotin and use minoxidil at night. I have been regular on finasteride and biotin but skipped minoxidil as it had not suited me before. I am currently undergoing heavy shedding, which most probably due to finasteride, so not worried. Do you think not taking minoxidil will adversely effect my hair growth a lot? As I am 3 months into finasteride already, I dont think its a good time to start minoxidil now as its shedding period will conflict with propecia's growth period. Let me know what you think about it? And any other suggestions/precautions to improve chances of good results? Looking forward to hear from you soon.
  3. Manuel - Are you taking the prescribed meds? biotin, fin, minox? were you taking any of them before the procedure?

  5. Dog - M worried about the same thing. I am just completing my 2 weeks and will be joining office after 4 days. I was told that the scalp looks normal withing 15 days, so planned my leave accordingly. But I think it would stay red and look weird for at least few more weeks. Wondering how m I gonna manage till then. @Manuel - Good progress! I am about 6 weeks behind you, so will be closely monitoring your progress. Wish you the best!!

  7. Hi U2 It was really great going through your post and regular update via pics. I am a norwood 4 and just got my HT done from Dr Bhatti a week back - 3000 grafts in frontal and crown. M in the painful and itching period right now, and just waiting for the week to pass by. I think your transplant has shown progress but not sure if the slow speed is something to worry about yet. Will look forward to more updates from you and hope you gain more density soon.

  9. All the best Alonk. Hope it comes through well. Do let us know how your experience was. I am in a very similar state as you are. I am 27 now, and started loosing hair when I was 20. It would be really helpful if you can tell me about the pre-HT process with Dr Bhatti? When did you connect with them and what was consulting process? Did you meet them in-person before deciding for the transplant? Details would be really helpful. M planning to take the plunge in June 1st week.
  10. I came to this website looking for good and reliable information as most of the HT surgeons have amazing websites with shady before-after pics but m pretty dissapointed. it clearly looks more like a marketing campaign for one doctor khanna, who's patient picture look as doubtful as any others. this dr khanna is definitely not upto the marks, else who wouldnt need to run such shady campaign. To the "hardcore" dr khanna fans, who have witnessed his "magical surgeries" and are super active on the forum to refute any claims against him, plz dont bother to reply to my msg.. people are smart enuf. Dear Mods, sincere request: Please be more active on this and ensure that real patients like me who are actually going thru the pain are not misguided. And my search for a good india-based FUT surgeon shall carry on
