Senior Member wb280 Posted December 21, 2012 Senior Member Share Posted December 21, 2012 Hi guys, am sure loads of u have thought of this before. Just curious, why cant we extract hair from down under ( below the belt) ? I mean, i am very sure i am not suffering from MPB in that area and we can extract 2k grafts easily Ok fine, maybe not exactly hairline material, unless u have Einstein frizzy hair in the first place and the texture seems fitting  Maybe to the crown ? Any opinions? View my hair loss website. Senior Member aaron1234 Posted December 21, 2012 Senior Member Share Posted December 21, 2012 1) Go to Youtube 2) Search "SNL pube hair transplant" 3) Hilarity ensues. All great forms of humor contain an element of truth. Senior Member jerzig Posted December 21, 2012 Senior Member Share Posted December 21, 2012 I'm not closed minded or anything, but I'd take a bic to my head everyday before going that route. http://www.hairtransplantnetwork.com/blog/home-page.asp?WebID=2579
Senior Member gillenator Posted December 21, 2012 Senior Member Share Posted December 21, 2012 Even in the crown, and even blending it in at say 25%, the difference in texture would be very obvious. Although that region of our bodies do not seem to be affected by DHT, there have not been any meaningful studies or cases done to my knowledge. BH is a very different type of donor compared to regrowth success with scalp donor. And lastly, have you considered what it might be like to have FUE extractions done in that region?! Gillenator Independent Patient Advocate I am not a physician and not employed by any doctor/clinic. Dr. Glenn Charles
Body hair transplants are generally the last resort and the pubic region is generally the last of the last resorts. Senior Member KO Posted December 27, 2012 Senior Member Share Posted December 27, 2012 The point of cosmetic surgery is to look good. You don't have enough hair 'down there' (hopefully) to make a transplant feasible. And even if you did, you'd be very limited in styling options. 3382 FUE Lupanzula http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/eve/185463-3382-grafts-lupanzula.html

I believe there have been several cases of using under arm donor but never ever heard back from these individuals as far as yield and visual results are concerned. Gillenator Independent Patient Advocate I am not a physician and not employed by any doctor/clinic.
