Regular Member Johnson Posted July 27, 2011 Regular Member Share Posted July 27, 2011 I wanted to show the improvement I have seen after exactly one year on finasteride 1.25 mg/day. I started on 7/27/10 and it is now 7/27/11. I have used it every day except for a few days skipped last month to test if my sex drive would increase. I feel my sex drive might be lower on it but I'm not completely sure. I have also noticed a slight increase in fatty tissue in the breast area but it is not bad enough to stop the propecia at this point. I don't have "man boobs" or anything, but there is a slight increase there. As far as my hair, you can be the judge. I think the improvement in my hair is worth whatever other potential side effects. Let me say also that I have had 2 hair transplants but that was several years ago long before I started the finasteride. I was also on rogaine for about 5 months from Jan to May 2011, but I stopped due to the hassle and lack of noticeable results. I have attached 6 pictures. 3 before. 3 after. The befores have "1" in the name and afters have "2" in the name. It should be easy to see which is which.

Senior Member TakingThePlunge Posted July 28, 2011 Senior Member Share Posted July 28, 2011 Johnson, Thanks for taking the time to share your results! It's not often we get documented proof of finasteride's hair growing abilities. You certainly received a significant increase in density. Congratulations! Senior Member StaggerLee123 Posted February 20, 2012 Senior Member Share Posted February 20, 2012 This seems to be a good result however I wish that the OP would have cut his hair a similiar length to his before pics. It's a bit difficult to compare as I think the longer length gives better coverage, obviously, than the shorter length he had in the befores. Looks good though. Senior Member RCWest Posted February 22, 2012 Senior Member Share Posted February 22, 2012 It would be nice to have a success stories forum for results from meds. Hairlosstalk has an extensive forum like that. yunman
I had similiar results also with finasteride. If you're curious to find a place selling generic propecia for a good price without a prescription this is where I bought it http://easy-to-use-pharmacy.com/ and they have always delivered. Senior Member ontop Posted April 15, 2015 Senior Member Share Posted April 15, 2015 Good result from using Meds but I guess the 2 HTs you did was a flop. Am I correct?
Senior Member spyk777 Posted April 15, 2015 Senior Member Share Posted April 15, 2015 Did you shed some hair before the growth? When did you start noticing growth? Did you feel the new hair come through or was it thickening of existing hair? Thanks in advance for your input.
