"Dave" came to Dr. Wong to have a hair transplant a few years ago. In our discussions leading up to his procedure we discussed my own website and how it helped him with his decision making process. It was then that Dave and I came up with the idea to take the documentation process to the next level and document everything with video. After receiving hours of video footage of Dave's experiences during his recovery and subsequent result the final edit turned out 18 videos showing more detail as far as what one patient experienced after surgery than any where else by anyone else. I honestly believe that no one has every gone to so much trouble to share their personal journey than Dave to whom I'd like to extend a very big "THANK YOU!". I have modified the table of contents below as the final number of videos was more numerous than I anticipated. I kept each video to +/- four to seven minutes. 1.) History 2.) Expectations 3.) Also I don't use minoxidil anymore I lost no hair coming off it. Reduced propecia to 1mg every other day. My surgeons were Dr Hasson x 4, Dr Wong x 2 Norton x1 I started losing my hair at 19 in 1999 I started using propecia and minoxidil in 2000 Had 7 hair transplants over 12200 grafts by way of strip but 700 were Fue From Norton in uk Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

These videos were actually shot a few years ago before we started using the Sheraton Hotel. I (embarrassingly) had difficulty finding the time to edit everything together and eventually forgot about them. I rediscovered them a few weeks ago and decided to make the time for editing. There are hours and hours of video that Dave (and his wife) took and he sent them to me unedited so it has been quite time consuming. Good thing he has a good sense of humor else I'd be pulling my hair out! I'll continue to upload new videos as I find the time to edit them. I realized that if I let the editing process drag on too long I risk the danger of simply not completing the full edit so I have spent this entire weekend editing all of the video so it is now complete. Senior Member Jotronic Posted March 21, 2011 Author Senior Member Share Posted March 21, 2011 UK, It is difficult to say but Dave has a smaller head than you (if I remember correctly) but he was also a repair patient so most of the graft work was concentrated up front for camouflage and Dr. Wong spread all of the grafts across the entire top of the scalp, only 3350 in total. I think that because you too have a fairly narrow area of loss down the middle of the scalp you will have a fuller result than Dave even though your hairline is lower than his. Harriri, No, we're not related. I haven't touched HTTV.com in a long time, been too busy, but I'm glad you've found it useful. It was fun to work on, maybe I'll pick it up again sometime. Its a shame other clinics don't do things like this. Keep up the good work over there at H&W and keep pushing the envelop with regards to documentation. Pioneers seem like the right word. I'd like to see other clinics do this too as it only adds value to the entire research process and helps patients SEE rather than read what it is like to go through this to even a small extent. It is far better than photos, that is for sure. Boy, I have to tell you though. I was tough doing this. I literally sat at my computer for six hours straight on Saturday immersed in this and about 8 hours on Sunday. I throughly recommend anyone who is considering a hair transplant or who has just had a transplant in the last few months to watch all of the videos.
