Dr. Hasson/4239 Grafts/One Session/11 Months

Recommended Posts

This Vancouver patient came to see Dr. Hasson in October, 2009. His goal was to have as much of a change as possible in one session. Dr. Hasson transplanted 4239 grafts in one session with the result shown below at 11 months post-op. The distribution of the grafts started at the hairline then, with lower density, was blended with lesser density into the down slope at the top of the crown. The patient started Propecia six months before the procedure.

Note that the patient was wearing copious amounts of gel in his hair during this round of photos.

Nice result! Someone should tell him to ditch the gel and get some pomade or paste. It would give the spikey look without making it look so sparse...

Jotronic,

While the patient isn't doing himself any favors by over gelling, I think his hair looks great on him. It really works with his look.

The scar is unbelievable! I'm very impressed. I'm sure this has to be one of the closest cut donor areas I've seen with scar remaining virtually undetectable.

Thanks for sharing!

Thanks all for chiming in. Yeah, he was wearing a lot of gel and I agree that it would be interesting to see what his result is like without it but the thing that impresses me is that he can wear lots of gel and get away with it. It's his preference and he can pull it off. Because he lives near the clinic he might be able to come in at a later date for dry hair photos and video. If he does, I'll update this thread.

This is a great result, and the gel looks great. My question is, is this pt considered to have retrograde alopecia because of the thinning in front of and above the ears, or is this consider within the fairly normal scope and a non-remarkable condition.
