  1. Please check out my blog/link below with updated pictures and my thoughts at a year out. Not 100% there, but a HECK of an improvement! Hair Restoration Site for Sharptooth And for the new people just finding this website, good luck with your own decisions about getting a HT. And for the old school members on here, THANK YOU!!
  2. The hairline and the final spacing of the hair's looks amazing. Great job!
  3. Hey Everyone --- I've been seeing ads for this agency in Nashville for momths now: WeGrowHair.com I was curious if anyone's heard anything about them? I search on this site for them but didn't find anything (unless i suck at searching on here! )
  4. Hey Stuart -- thanks for the update. I'll make note of that. Hope you're well.
  5. By the way -- i wear my hair kind of parted to the side with the bangs falling over that thinner area. But the great things is that not only is it covered, that added density has really added lift to my hair which has been great. Thanks Plunge for the comment. Hope your own growing is going great!
  6. Hey T -- Thanks for the comment. And yea, Dr Panine was focused on adding density to the area above that thinned out area. I had asked him to also lower the hairline --that's the thinner area you've seeing. So either additional hair will grow in to fill in that area, or if i opt for one more HT, i'll ask to have the hairline filled in more.
  7. Click my MY HAIR LOSS WEBSITE and see what you think. Feel free to comment. As posted in my blog, I only have one concern. I'll wake from time to time with a discomfort/tightness in my donor area from my last HT. I still have a little numbness in a small area, though the numbness from the first 2 was gone within 2-3 months --- I know that the numbness issue varies a lot from patient to patient. I'm going to not worry too much as this point about the numbness, but since this intermittent tightness/discomfort wasn't an issue in the past with the 2 previous HTs, I'm going to contact Dr Panine's office office. Other than that, no regrets about having HT procedures. CORRECTION ---- here's my old profile with before/after and 3 month updates: http://www.hairtransplantnetwork.com/blog/home-page.asp?WebID=1463 Here's my newer profile on the updated website forum with the 7.5 month updated pics http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/SharpTooth
  8. Updated pics. This work is from 2 procedures. First 1500 in the frontal 1/3 by Dr Keene in Jan 2009, and another 2000 grafts in same region (that included lowering my hairline) by Dr Panine in Nov 2009. I've noticed over the past several months more density over the past 2 procedures, but to see these pictures is wild. My crown had a thin spot and this last procedure touched it up, giving some coverage, but it's thin to the touch --- still thinking about a final procedure to beef the crown up (and if needed, fill in a bit more of the hairline). My only concern at this point is my donor area. Of the 3 procedured, the first 2 HTs, the numbness went away after 2-3 months. I know different people respond differently to HTs, but with this last HT I still have a little numbness on one side of the donor area. Also, from time to time I wake up and around the length of the whole donor area it's painful. Not major pain, but a discomfort. I'll be contacting Dr Panine's office about this today. I've read profiles where some people had some discomfort/pain/numb in the donor area for years. I'm hoping my current condition is only temporary. But i'm excited for the growth from the last 2 produres and hopeful the next few months cotninues to fill in the hairline.
  9. PS --- congrats on your new role in this community. Hope it helps with your future career!
  10. Hey FHT -- thanks. And yea, i guess later today I realized that ultimately was I was looking for was a confirmation that a newly restored hairline will not be identical as what Nature put up there. And the one side where many of the hairs never shed is what I was inquiring about -- they are now about 2.5-3" But thanks for the response.
  11. Hey Guys --- it's been 7.5 months for me. Overall, i'm excited about my growth. Density's great and am probably considering a 4th/final HT to add density to my crown. Will possibly touch up hairline. But I was curious what all of you think. At my last HT 7.5 months ago, my hairline was nearly restored to the place it was before it started to disappear 2 yrs ago. And while I know there's still time for more growth to kick in soon enough, it feels that my hairline doesn't fall downway the way it did before my hair up front feel out. I'm almost assuming it's b/c (maybe??) a physician can't nail it as nature had put there in the first place? I've seen bad HTs where the hairline's jacked up. And mine's not like that!! It's just I feel that it's not quite right -- as far as the way the hair falls forward. I do use aveda hair cream to stand the hair up, but a few of the hairs tend to fall forward ..... not sure if i'm explaining it well. And i know that my camera's not able to take such great close up shots. I guess in the end, it's not a huge issue -- but having had the hairline up until i was 37 and remember how it use to fall down, it's not the same as before. Maybe this is just me thinking outloud. But if I do opt for a 4th final HT, i'm going to see what the physician thinks. thanks! And hope all are well!
  12. Hrvoje - I agree with Aaron. Today is my 5.5 months and I've seen a lot of growth, butI've no doubht that like me, you'll continue to see growth over the next few months. Hang in there, and try not to worry. I'm sure it'll continue to kick in. And like the other's said, at 5.5 months, I think it's looking pretty good/ccvered!
  13. Flan ---- NOT to imply it's happenin to you!! Just tossing that out there that I've seen hair thinning that early on someone.
  14. A good friends hair started to thin when he was 16/17. It was drastic thinning, but his hairline had just barely begun to receed. By the time he was 22/23, he had the Bruce Willis thing going on.
  15. Very, very cool. And it's only been 5 months!
  16. I read a study somewhere 2 yrs ago, and while I can't remember details, it reported that women who combined minoxidil with the laser comb showed growth. The only reason I remember reading that report was because I bought a "home grown" laser comb and only later read the negative things about the comb. Then soon after found that study showing some improvement. But I don't remember seeing any significance on my own head as my hair continued to thin.
  17. So here it is, almost 4 months out. While i'm sure a lot of the grafts in the back never shed, most all in the hairline did. About 2-3 weeks ago the hairline started filling in. Since then, the hair's have started to grow like wild fire, filling in about 40-50% of the hairline. The hairs are thick and dark, for which i'm thankful! But here's my question: why is it that sometimes I read about other's experience fine/baby hairs while other's new growth is thicker/courser? Also -- as hair turns white, is it the folicular unit / graft that determine's when a hair stops producing color? Or the area along the scalp? I was thinking I had more graying in back, but all of the new growth I see are not white hairs.
  18. Hey Ian -- That's very cool. Looks like you've got great quality hair. Very nice work process over the past few years! Have you since shaved the rest of your head?
  19. I agree with Fingers --- Megatron, I think you'll be excited as the hairline starts growing in.
  20. It's been 3.5 months now and I'd safe the last of the tightness went away a couple of weeks ago. And to clarify, when I posted this last month, it was only slighly tight -- nothing major, just enough to feel as if I had a hat on my head or such. Still a bit numb though, but expecting it'll return to normal soon enough. Thanks for the responses.
  21. Megatron --- have you tried energon cubes? Sorry, couldn't resist.
