  1. We all been there buddy.... that's what I say... go out with her, have sex and then call her next day to tell you aren't looking for a gal with baggage!
  2. Hey what's going on guys?? I am also a slow bloomer. Just little over 5 months, and not seeing much growth. Is there anything that people with faster growth do compare to slow bloomers? I know there're several factors like blood supply, genes etc. But is there anything that a patient can do to achieve maximum benefit? such as exercise or better diet etc? KG
  3. Based on my experience, I don't think 2800 grafts will make significant improvement. you'll get coverage, but you'll have see-thru density. It's totally upto you. If you're looking for thin coverage, then 2800 grafts will be plenty. If you're looking for hairline and density like Bobman, you'll need atleast 4000-4500 grafts. As for shockloss, yeah you will suffer shockloss (regardless you do 2800 or 4500), but it will grow back. Good luck with whatever you decide. KG
  4. Looking good Bobman. Your hair just looks amazing. I am still amazed by the density in the front. Do you use any hair products that makes your hair look so full and lively?? KG
  5. I have been through two procedures, and I can tell you don't want to go through multiple procedures if you don't have to. More procedures = more pain, more down town, more waiting, will take 2-3 yrs to see full results compare to 6 months to a year with only one procedure. Just go through this website, you'll find tons of people with 4000+ procedures with Dr. H & W/Armani/Rahal/Feller(seen only one case). Your crown seems good. All you need is frontal 2/3. Do some more consultations with other docs before you give your deposit to Dr. D. KG
  6. Karzon - Good luck with you HT. Although, I think you will need roughly 4000-4500 grafts to be completely satisfied. And why make two trips if you can do it in one. KG
  7. You can be little aggresive after 7 days or so... I was really aggresive between days 8-10 as my doc had told me to get rid of all the scabs by day 10-11.
  8. There's no post-op treatment!!! all you need to do is relax and let your grafts heal for the first week. You can wash your hair with shampoo with just a mild touch to keep your scalp clean and to get rid of scabs. But other than that don't use any products post-op if you want maximum benefit out of your HT.
  9. After my first procedure of 1500 grafts, my scalp was wayyy too tight. I felt the tightness and numbing for like 3-5 months. But after my second procedure with Dr. Wong, 3500 grafts, I had absolutely no tight feeling or numbness after 10 days or so. I believe that was mainly due to the scalp excercise that I had been doing 4 months prior.
  10. Devide the number of grafts by area need to be covered. 3500/80 = 44 grafts/cm2 & 2000/100 = 20 grafts/cm2
  11. Hey Mike, that's exactly what I was trying to say... In attached picture, it seems like you have no thinning at all since the pic was taken from behind/top at an angle... See people can easily hide the thinning by taking pictures at certain angles, so that's what I was trying to find out how much progress you have made since in some pictures your density looks amazing, and in some pictures you can see your scalp. But only you would know how it looks since you look at your hair everyday. Anyway, Compare to pre-op your hair looks amazing. I think you there's still lot of thicking to come. After my first procedure, I didn't see real thickin until around month 8. So hang in there. Thanks for sharing your experience. KG
  12. Mike - looking good man. It seems like things are beginning to happen for you. give it another 3 months and you'll be a happy man. As for HT#3, you may not need it after you see final results, but I know we're all greedy when it comes to hair. So I can't blame you if you want to go for 3rd trip. But I would give atleast 12-18 months before getting back into the chair because lot of people like myself continued to thicken for upto 18 months after the procedure. Anyway, good luck. I will follow the suit in a week or so once I hit 5 month mark. KG
  13. Hey guys - I sometimes use Loreal Vive for hair thickening, and it works great for me. It gives me immediate thickness. I would love to use it everyday, but it makes my hair very dry and brutal which results into more shedding. Also, several doctors have advised me against using shampoos with lot of chemicals, so I try to stay away from those. For everyday use, I use Johnson's baby shampoo. But when I am going out over the weekends, I use Loreal vive. But since you guys had good experience with Pantene Pro-V ??Full & Thick', I am gonna give it a shot this weekend. I will update you guys next week on which one works better for me. KG
  14. Troy - Your 7 months results look amazing!!! Dr. Rose has done an amazing job. Your pictures tell the story, but let me ask you this. Do you notice big difference between month 5 and 7? Because in some pictures I can see your scalp due to heavy flush, in some pictures I don't see that. I am just trying to get the feel how much your hair and density has picked up in last 3 months? Thanks, KG
  15. You're exactly like me!!! My hairloss pattern was exactly same. I too have thinning all over top, and I had my procedure with Dr. Wong ~ 3500 grafts. You have already done your research, so you know what you're up against. But few pointers from my experience: You will most likely suffer some serious shockloss after the HT, be prepared to look worse for first 4 months (I looked norwood 6-7 for first 2.5 months), most of the shocked hair will come back but no guarantees. Now, I don't mean to scare you, but I thought you should know from somebody with exactly same hair loss pattern. You can find my posts and pictures on this forum. I still question myself lot of times if it was a smart move for me to get HT in area with existing hair, but I think I am happy I did because I was never happy with my hair. I am 4.5 months post-op, and I haven't been 'surprised'. Growth has been really slow, but it's still too early in the game. I hope this helps. Let me know if you have any questions. Good luck with the decisions you make. KG
  16. Hey guys - As many of you know, I had my 2nd procedure done recently with Dr. Wong for 3500 grafts. It's been 4.5 months, and I am not seeing much growth. I am little concerned now because most people start seeing some growth by 4-4.5 month. I maybe looking same as I did going in for procedure (if not worse), and it's very difficult for me to say if I have any growth due to existing hair. Should I be concerned?? anybody here with similar experience? Thanks, KG

  18. Hey guys - I got a question for you. I am using generic version of Nizoral 2%.. it's called Ketoconazole Shampoo 2%. Is that same as what everybody uses? or is it different??? KG
  19. Welcome back Robert. Your posts have helped me and many others a lot. I have been pretty busy myself. I barely get a chance to read all the forums now. I am also 4.5 months post-op, and will post pictures as soon as I take them. Your website looks pretty good. Very informative! But couldn't find your pictures anywhere. KG
  20. Thanks guys for your replies. I just ordered Toppik since it seems like it's easy to use, and you're not directly applying to the scalp so it would cause less irritation. Anyway, I feel the same that it shouldn't affect my growth at 4 month mark. If I shed some hair due to dryness or irritation, it should grow back. I was told the same from Doug from H&W. He advised me against it on regular basis, but he said at month 4 mark it shouldn't affect the yield/growth. I don't plan to make this a habit. Actually I don't even use it everyday. I only use it over the weekend. Anyway, thanks for your inputs. If other people have any comments, feel free to drop a line. KG
  21. Hey guys - I haven't posted in awhile. I've been pretty busy lately. I am at 4 months post-op with Dr. wong (3500 grafts), and I have started noticing new growth. I'll be posing new pictures soon. Recently I have started using Dermatch to fill in the thinning. It works great!! It makes my hair look alive, but I am not sure if it a great decision to use at 4 month mark since new growth is still coming in. Anybody here uses dermmatch/toppik regularly?? If so, can you share your experience? Also, I was also wondering if it's safe to apply dermatch and keep it on your scalp for couple of days before washing it off. I plan to go out on vacation next weekend, and I want to use it and keep it on and wash it off once I come back. What do you guys think?? Any comments? Thanks, KG

  23. Bobman - What's going on man?/ Your results look amazing. Your crown looks pretty decent now. Maybe you should think about restructuring your temples. I think that would give you an amazing look when you comb your hair straight back. Just a thought. KG
  24. Dhuge - I have used DerMatch, I like it but under certain lights, it makes it very obvious. I would like to know more about Toppik. Do you just sprinkle it on your hair or do you use the sprayer. Also, after using it, if you run your fingers thru your hair, does it come off on your fingers? Thanks, KG
  25. First picture, you can clearly see new transplanted hairline. Pictures 3 & 4, new dense growth after couple of HTs (compare to picture 2). He didn't get his HTs in India as you may already know.
