I began losing my hair around 16 - at 20 I had an excellent 300 graft procedure performed by Dr. Constantine Chambers (The Chambers Hair Institute) in CLearwater. You couldn't tell I had anything done - the scar was invisible. Dr. Constantine Chambers a true pioneer and a pro in the industry who was famous and even wrote his own books on hair transplantion, unfortunately was killed in a plane crash here in FL a couple years after doing my procedure.
Eventually Dr. Robert Paunovich took over the clinic and is still running it -he was trained by Dr. Chambers but unfortunately his procedure was like night and day. He recommened 1,000 grafts which I went for. He placed 3-4 hair grafts somewhat close to the hair line and some point slightly in the wrong direction; I also have a much wider, large scar on the back of my head. He went over the previous scar but only about half way, the other half curved more down then up. Not to mention I suffered shock loss this time, and most of the hair on my head is the badly transplanted hair. I have to comb my hair in a certain way, mostly down, to hide it. So, now at 25 I am in need of serious advice either from a professional doctor or someone who's had a similar experience, because I'm still young and because sometimes it affects my life in a way you won't believe. I used to think about losing my hair all the time - now I think about it and the bad transplant I've had...
I will probably need a scar revision/excision, and then I can eventually get individual FU transplanted next time by a professional - I may even need some bad grafts removed. Any good doctors out there please help me... I am really getting tired of thinking about this 24 hours a day...
