  1. I never ended up having any photos taken after the 4 month period after having problems uploading them and finding someone to take them. Like I said before Iwas suppose to get 2500 graphs the first time and it ended up being like 2150 instead. And it seems they spread these out all the way from front to back so there was no dense packing anywhere. so the front was thin and the crown got a thin coverage but the only thing some what dense was the middle because thats where I had the most hair to begin with. The most important part was the crown for me since this is why I wore a hat. It seems like everyone is mostly only concerned about the front but the crown bothered me the most. I went for 1500 this time for the crown because thats about what I could afford. But the doc conviced me to do 1000 on the crown and reinforce the front abit with 500. ended up getting onlt 1278 grapghs which 1000 went to the crown. The total graphs to date is only 3428 which is not all that many to try to cover the crown and front. after following your transplants Billerous and others I see it takes large amounts of graphs to cover especially the crown. There was hair growing on my crown after the first ht enough that my dad started asking questions about what was going on. To the other gentlemen that was trying to get me to donate to his ficticious charity I went back to dr. boden because I thought they did a good job but I think my expectation with the number of graphs I was getting wasn't realistic. This time I have no swelling or discomfort so I'm somewhat glad I didn't get to many graphs at once. Plus money is a major factor in what I was able to do. I am going to wait and see what the results are this time and save money for more graphs at a later date. Where I go will depend on how this session turns out. And I will reserve my jugment of Dr. Boden till then. Also I will try to get some better pics I didn't realize they were'nt close up enough.Last time it took a long time for the redness and all to go away and I wasn't looking foward to going through it again. This time wasn't a big deal at all. I'm not one to take loans or charge things so I do what I can in cash only. Thanks for adding the link Bill. I get the finatride for 20.00 and chop it into 4's so it last 120 days and also use monoxidal from costco for 20.00 bucks for 3 months supply. I wish I could really meet someone in person to see a ht because I find pictures don't always tell the whole story. hair wet and dry and a whole lot of other things make pics somewhat deceiving.I hope I'm doing the right thing and I know no one noticed that hair was added to my hairline so thats a plus anyway. Thanks. Scott
  2. i did post a couple pics on my hair bolg i just haven't had the time to figure out how to add the link for the blog to my post. It's been really hecktick around here lately. to much going on . as to why i went back to dr. boden it seemed to me he did a good job i just didn't realize that it takes allot of graphs to fill in the crown to my satisfaction, Nobody even realized i had a hair transplant which I gues is a good thing. except my father who sais what having you been doing to get your hair to grow back your crown looks like the bald spot is shrinking and you look like you have much more hair.
  3. Sorry I haven't kept up my blog but I was a bit disillusioned after the first ht. I had 2150 graphs the first time to try to get rid of waring a hat all the time . The graphs were spread form front to back which left everything very sparse especially the crown. So then I bought a second house and remodeled it and kinda stopped thinking about this site and ht's in general. The hat and bare crown kept bothering me so I decided 12-20-07 to go back and get just the crown filled in. The doc said you might want to put some in the front to to reinforce it abit so I agreed but reiterated my concern was the crown. The aim was 1500 graphs 1000 for the crown and 500 in the front. What I ended up with was 1278 graphs with 1000 in the back and 278 up front. The transplant went well and the doc fixed up the old scar better than the last time. I have no swelling in the front and really no pain anywhere. I don't know if I'll be happy with the coverage or not but I'm sick of the hat and or using dermatch to hide the crown, even though I like the results from the dermatch. After the first transplant I barely had enough hair to use dermatch but was amazed with the results of the product. So I never posted the final results of the first ht but i just added a couple pics of the second ht. Again I went to MHR in CT. with Dr. Scott Boden. There has been no information good or bad about this dr. MHR doesn't seem to get any good comments but I'm trying to base my reviews on the doc not the corporation. I am reserving judgement till after the results of this transplant. I feel Dr. boden is very caring and proffesional and the staff was also very pleasent and caring. The price for the second ht was dramaticlly lower since they wanted me to be able to achieve my goals. This time he covered the birthmark I had on my crown which has never had hair on it. Hopefully the graphs will grow. Anyway I will try to keep my progress updated for other people to see this time to help others decide on ht's and my thoughts on Dr. Scott Boden. MHR might not have gotten any good reviews but I want to rate the Dr. not the reputation of MHR. Any comments good or bad are appreciated and any thoughts about achieving a full look on the crown area. Most people want the front filled in and don't worry about the crown I guess but I do. Thanks Scott AKA Worried
  4. Thanks , well at least I have a years supply now and am planning another surgery in the future so I guess I can ask another doc then. Or ask my doc again and say I've been taking it for 2 years now without a problem.
  5. My doc already said he wouldn't prescibe it for me. because he wouldn't prescribe it to anyone in his family.
  6. right now my ht doc gives me scripts for proscar. What happens after ht or ht's are complete and my regular doc won't give me a script? Does this mean my hair starts falling out again or I have to risk buying it online? Should have thought of this before hand also. How would you know if your getting the real thing online ?

  8. Domie , just got done viewing your pics of progress and the 5 months results look great. It's viewing these results of you and others that show what a good ht can do. looking great. The best is yet to come.
  9. I use the dermmatch and go scuba diving and when I get home it still looks ok. So i guess the waterproof claim is valid.LOL
  10. I don't know if it works or not, because I had some hairs transplanted up there on the crown and I take propecia (finasteride) chopped into 4pcs. and use minoxidol. Which one grew what and how much hair? not sure.
  11. From what I was told, it's a sign that the hairs are starting to grow. I've read many post on here and most stated that they were getting pimples and or ingrown hairs, and my personal experiance seems to dictate that also. especially during the earlier months 2-6 . scott
  12. I didn't see your before pics before answering ,it would be good to attach before pic with your post or in a blog so people don't have to go search for them. You seem to have curly hair so now the hairs on top of your head are so short I don't know what it would look like . My hair is straighter. But your head doesn't look red or anything and your hair probably looks good short.
  13. Have you ever tried demmatch? I dont have much hair on my crown and it covers well and I used to always wear a hat, if you have hair on your head like it looks like you do you could try that. it's recomended for people with HT, www.dermmatch.com 29.00 and a free second color. Maybe this will help. I think you look fine now.
  14. I've gotten soar bumps (which turned out to be ingrown hairs or pimples) and have read on here about others with the same. i put a hot compress on them and when they had a head on them pressed on them like a zit and puss came out just like a zit and then healed. I've gotten many over these last 6 months but it seems like the most were between 2-4 months or 5 months. Don't know if this is what you r explaining or not.
  15. The search feature on this site allows you to look up threads on the docs your wondering about to see if anyone has had experience with them or complaints. Also you can look up strip and fue procedures and about anything else. And of course you can ask all the helpfull people on this site there opinions and experience. Scott
