A 36-year-old Asian male who had receding hairline at the front and both temples without thinning hair at the crown. His hair is black, straight, and coarse. His donor area contains good donor hair density and good scalp laxity. He underwent 1 session of FUT, the amount of grafts is shown below; 1-hair grafts: 842 grafts (842 hairs) 2-hair grafts: 1958 grafts (3916 hairs) 3-hair grafts: 498 grafts (1494 hairs) A total of 3,298 grafts (6,258 hairs) were transplanted at the front and both temples. Below are pictures of before and after surgery (1 year & 1 month). The patient is pleased with the result and minimal donor scar.

A 52-year-old Asian male who has extensive hair loss from the front toward the crown. His hair is black, straight, good density average scalp laxity. He underwent 5 sessions (FUT) due to limited budget for each session : The first session: 2,006 grafts(4,034 hairs) were transplanted at front. The second session : 1,331 grafts (3,028 hairs) were transplanted at front again to add on density. The third session: 1,790 grafts (3,776 hairs) were transplanted from front to mid scalp. The forth session :1,008 grafts (1,930 hairs) were transplanted at crown. The fifth session: 798 grafts (1,547 hairs) were transplanted at crown to add on density. A total of 6,933 grafts (14,315 hairs) were transplanted from the front to the crown. Below are pictures before and one- year after the last procedure. He was very happy with the result.

She is only 19 years old at very young age to suffer the hair loss. She underwent hair transplant 2 years ago and thought it was not successful and later had scalp advancement 9 months later. She has obvious white scar along the frontal hair line, the hair line is straight and quite low. It’s difficult for me the design the new hair line to partially camouflage some scar and frame her face and add on density further inside. She also has cowlick at front. After multiple surgeries the blood supply was compromised and also scars, one will not expect excellent growth as in normal scalp. The weir hair direction from the lift, scar from previous transplanted and cowlick was quite challenging how to place grafts. I have attached B/A for comparison and I believe there is improvement after surgery but not no growth. This is only one year after surgery , it would be best to wait longer at year and a half to two years and reassess while the circulation is continue to improve with time and what is best to do. The hair loss is continued to progress, medication for hair loss is quite helpful to stop the loss.

This is a 43 years old white male, who has receding hair line and balding at crown as in Norwood IV. He has good donor hair density and scalp laxity. He underwent FUT, a total of 3,853 grafts were transplanted: 1-hair graft=487, 2-hairs graft=2,112, 3-hairs graft=2,002, 4-5 hairs graft=250 average 8,842 hairs. The front =2,357 grafts, crown=1,494 grafts. Below are his before and one year after with good result, he doesn’t want to take any medication for his hair loss.

The patient didn't take any medication for hair loss and he refused to take it due to side effect. I have posted immediately post op on this patient.

49 years old man who has receding hair line to mid coronal, he still has thin bridge across the scalp , baldness at crown and good donor hair. The recipient area measured 72 cm2 at front, 49 cm2 at crown. He underwent hair transplant combo (FUT= 3,375 grafts+FUE= 505 grafts) total of 3,880 grafts ( 1-hair = 499, 2-hairs= 2,660 grafts, 3-hairs= 721 grafts) , 7,982 hairs were transplanted. Total balding area measured 127 cm2, planning for surgery at the front first= 64 cm2.He had FUE 2,047 grafts in 1 session, 1-hair graft= 261, 2-hairs graft= 797, 3-hairs graft= 810, 4-hairs graft= 179 (Total 5,001 hairs), punch size 0.9. A 40 years old white male Norwood class VI, with extensive hair loss from front toward the crown. The total balding area measured 220 cm2.Surgery is planning for the front to mid scalp, the area measured = 111 cm2. He underwent FUT with 3,251 grafts consisting 1-hair=442 grafts, 2-hair=2,033 grafts, 3-hair=776 grafts (6,836 hairs). The post-operative photos were taken at 9 months after the surgery. He is very pleased with the result and would like to proceed with more session at crown. Below are B/A. He refused to take any medication for hair loss.

AAK is a 49 years old male (ME) who has receding hair line to mid scalp and balding at crown . He still has moderate hair at bridge across the scalp as in Norwood V. His hairs are coarse, wavy with density 70%. He has good laxity of scalp. The balding at front measured 74 cm2, crown= 36 cm2. He underwent hair transplantation 3375 grafts, 1-hair=401 grafts, 2-hairs=2360 grafts, 3-hairs=614 grafts (6963 hairs). Below are his before and 19 months after surgery. Front=2555 grafts, crown=820 grafts. He is planning to return to add density in the next few years.

AC is 26 years old male with diffuse thinning hair from the front toward the crown. He underwent FUT at other country (2400 grafts) with poor growth and wide donor scar. He underwent FUT at my clinic 5 years later 2852 grafts harvested as follow: 1- hair graft = 595 grafts , 2-hairs graft = 1947 grafts, 3-hairs graft= 310 grafts (5419 hairs) with good result 9 months after surgery. He underwent FUT about 1500 grafts from other clinic and wanted only FUE to add on the density since he keeps the hair short and doesn’t want to see the FUT scar. He had 2 FUE sessions at my clinic (FUE-I : 1hair = 359 grafts ,2hairs = 801 grafts, 3hairs = 683 grafts Total 1,843 grafts = 4,010 hairs, FUE-II : 1hair = 216 grafts, 2hairs = 572 grafts, 3hairs = 386 grafts, 4hairs = 56 grafts Total 1,230 grafts = 2,742 hairs ) confined to the front and top one and a half year apart. You have a good eye. Yes,she has some small elevated at base of the follicle as goose bump but didn't bother her. This might settle with time however if it doesn't go away or bother her superficial desiccation will improve the texture..
