A 32-years old caucasian female born with a high hair line and wanted to narrow her forehead by doing hair restoration. The total recipient area was measured 53 cm2 at the front. The ultra refined follicular unit hair transplantation was done with FUT and trichophytic closure. The detail of the hair transplantation is as follows: Frontal area: 1 hair:=548 grafts, 2 hairs:= 1,611 grafts, 3 hairs:= 454 grafts, 4 hairs:= 32 grafts A total of 2,645 grafts consisting of 5,260 hairs. The patient was followed at 2 years and 9 months post-operatively with good hair growth and significant cosmetic improvement by lowering her hair line. Patient had good results and is very happy. The patient was on Finasteride and Minoxidil lotion many years before surgery. The crown is 66 cm2. Photos after the 1st transplant was posted earlier.

V. G. , 40 year old male, with a diagnosis of Androgenetic Alopecia Norwood IV with thinning forelock; He had hair transplantation – 3662 grafts (7873 hairs), 1-hair 449, 2-hairs graft 2215, 3-hairs graft 998; Grafts were placed over the front and crown with a conservative hairline . No untoward complications were noted during and after surgery. Patient had good results and is very happy and would like to come back to add on density later. A 29 years old Asian male AGA class VI, the balding areas measured approximately 160 square centimeters. Donor hair average density 70%. He underwent hair transplantation from front toward the mid scalp, a total of 3,320 grafts were transplanted ( 1-hair=510 , 2-hairs graft=2,000, 3-hairs graft=623, 4 hair graft=187) about 7,127 hairs. The balding areas measured approximately 200 square centimeters. He had one session of hair transplant (FUT) done with 558 one-hair grafts, 137 one to two hair- grafts, 1,866 two-hairs graft, 861 three-hairs grafts, and 126 four-hairs graft. The total number of grafts is 3,548 (7,582 hairs). He doesn’t want to take any medication . He returned for the follow up 11 months post op and happy with the result. 67 years old, white male, who had receding hairline from the front towards the top and thinning over the crown, as in Norwood IV-V, with some hair left at the forelock. His hair is straight, gray but was colored dark brown by the patient, with good density. He underwent Hair Transplantation from front towards the top. MM is a 35 years old white male who has hair loss from front to the crown with persistent frontal forelock with good donor hair. He underwent hair transplantation a total of 2,882 grafts were transplanted ( 1-hair=218 , 2-hairs graft=1949, 3-4 hairs graft=363, 4 hair graft=352) about 6,970 hairs , confined to the front.He was seen a year after with good result and planned to return for hair transplantation at crown.

This is 48 years old white male Norwood V- VI with persistent frontal forelock, he has hair transplant many years ago at other institution. He was seen at DHT clinic and underwent 2 sessions of FUT. The first session 2,995 grafts consist of 1-hair=820 grafts 2- hairs= 2,105 grafts 3-hairs= 70 grafts (5,240 hairs) were transplanted from front to crown. The second session one year later, 2,937 grafts consist of 1-hair= 656 grafts 2-hairs= 2,070 grafts 3-hairs= 211 grafts (5,429 hairs) were transplanted to add on density from front to the crown. 50 years old Asian male has receding hair line and baldness at crown as in Norwood III vertex. The area of concern was 132 cm2.He underwent hair transplantation, 3220 grafts (1-hair graft=558, 2-hairs graft=1957, 3-hairs graft=705) were transplanted. He was seen a year later with satisfactory result and wanted to add on density later.

52 years old Asian male Norwood V underwent hair transplantation with the total of 3434 grafts, 2041 grafts at front and 1393 grafts at crown ( 1-hair graft = 340 ,2-hairs graft =2261, 3-hairs graft = 732 , 4- hairs graft = 101, total number of hairs roughly = 7,462. The patient refused to take finasteride and apply minoxidil lotion.

VP is a 30 years old Asian male who suffer extensive hair loss for the past 5 years. Examination showed diffuse thinning hair from front toward the crown. VP has hair transplantation in Vietnam about 1500 grafts in Jan 2012. His donor hairs contain lots of miniaturized hair, low density about 55 follicle/cm2 and wide donor scar from previous surgery from ear to ear. He was informed that he has not enough hair to cover the entire scalp. VP will need medication to stop his hair loss and might gain more hair plus hair transplant at front to add more density. He underwent hair transplantation (FUT + FUE) on Nov 4th,13: 2263 grafts ( 1-hair graft=479, 2-hairs graft= 1425, 3-hairs graft =359 :about 4406 hairs ) were transplanted. He was placed on Finasteride and Minoxidil tablet and was informed regarding side effect of the two drugs. VP was seen 8 months post op and very happy with the result of his surgery and medication. VP responds well to medical treatment thus result in full head of hair without side effect so far.

This is a 44 years old male who has two areas of thinning hair at the front behind the hair line size 3x3 cm2. Both areas did not increase in size for the past 5 years. He was born with the high forehead. No family member had hair loss problems on both maternal and paternal sides. The patient was seen by a dermatologist and clear for hair transplantation. He wanted to lower his hair line, restored his temples and filled in both areas of the thinning hair (See the photos). He underwent hair transplantation 2,219 grafts (1-hair follicles = 325 , 2-hair follicles = 1,417 and 3-hair follicles = 453) with the total of 4,614 hairs were transplanted on the entire area as described.
