  1. Masturbation in the 48 hour period following a procedure might pop out a few grafts but unlikely, still, it never hurts to remain on the safe side.
  2. I would also say both are recommended however if it comes down to choosing just one or the other, most would choose finasteride.
  3. Although you still have good hair volume, yes you could add a small amount of grafts to the temporal lobe points where there is obvious recessionary loss…overall, you have a diffused loss pattern and it’s great to hear that you are responding well to the oral meds however you are still young and only time will tell if you continue to sustain recessionary loss in your frontal zone.
  4. Again, great words of wisdom from Gats…it took 4 separate procedures to get me where it felt like I had accomplished my long term goals…and I’m talking in terms of visual appearance.
  5. Honestly, you need to get several opinions regarding this from dermatologists who have lots of experience treating patients with this drug and also understand treating hair loss.
  6. I started taking low dose finasteride 28 years ago shortly after my first HT procedure and after having 4 separate FUHT procedures totaling 7,000 grafts, my visual coverage has remained intact!
  7. Carla…this endeavor requires lots of patience and perseverance because most repair patients are not forthcoming yet you will find some that will present their case online with multiple photos…they ask for help and which doctors are best suited for their case…you need to surf every hairloss community for repair cases…there are several within this community who have discussed their situations in great detail.
  8. 2-4 weeks post-op is the norm but like anything else, there are variances.
  9. Good gosh, so sorry to hear you caught COVID…I caught it in the hospital last fall when I had hernia surgery and my wife got it too, from the hospital…boy were we sick! Wish you well in your recovery and your results.
  10. I was diagnosed with strep throat (septic throat infection) immediately after my 2nd HT procedure and post-op I was really sick with high fever…I was in bed for a week and my doctor put me on a strong antibiotic…did it have any negative affect on my procedure?…no, at least none that I noticed regarding healing, regrowth, etc…I think you are going to be fine as well, best wishes to you.
  11. This is another great post from Gatsby filled with wisdom and good advice…there are many young men that have a similar profile as wh300 that should read this!
  12. The notion may be that DUT has been proven to inhibit both Type I & II DHT while finasteride inhibits Type I…many guys switch to DUT if they do not experience efficiency with low dose finasteride.
  13. It never ceases to surprise me how some of the younger men think that surgery in itself will solve their genetic hair loss without the use of effective hair loss meds…the bottom line is that if you have native hair that is DHT receptive, low dose finasteride, minoxidil, will help you hold on to it.
  14. They can call it a hundred different things but trust me, after all the hype, it’s a binding contract which releases the doctor and or clinic from any and all liability…and they typically do not have the patient sign it until after they collect 100% of the money on the morning of surgery.
  15. I would wait a minimum of 12 full months before starting scalp stretching providing your strip scar healed completely without any complications…and I agree to confide with your surgeon.
