  1. What type of idiots would cut or shave areas that you did not request?…😟
  2. Only 5 months in?!…my word!…that’s incredible Gats!!!…this is one of the most amazing results I have seen since 1980!…yes, that’s what I said! My word, I am so incredibly happy for you my brother, your hairline is very natural and appealing…please keep more updates coming!
  3. Do you have any pics that be shared of the area?
  4. That thinning area at the base of your crown is called the coronet area and is part of what distinguishes the difference between a class 6 and class 7…yes, the rubbing of your hard hat could be advancing the loss ahead of schedule.
  5. Whether they are native or not, there is nothing that sounds abnormal to me.
  6. I also still believe that the recipient area will improve over time.
  7. IMHO, complete labs and biopsies including the temporal lobe areas will be telling as to what is going on and I concur on you contacting Dr. Mwamba…ask him to discuss your case with the Atlanta surgeon he trained under especially regarding your biopsies because very few clinics know how to read and evaluate them with a high degree of accuracy…the surgeon in Atlanta is very experienced and good idea to include his thoughts in your evaluation….I wish you the very best MsAyeBeeCat and sincerely hope you are able to get some meaningful resolution.
  8. As long as you’re not grafting within the same area over and over, creating unnecessary amounts of scar tissue and compromising the blood flow, you should be fine.
  9. Your scalp probably has had enough time (3 years ) to recover and hopefully the blood flow and supply is adequate…we cannot see into the underlying dermis layer to evaluate the blood supply.
  10. That’s right, some hair dye contains ammonia and peroxide which are very harsh on the scalp and the hair shafts…and it’s always a good idea to read the label to see all of the ingredients.
  11. We all might be surprised at how penetrating UV rays can be even through layers of hair…yes, I am a proponent of keeping the scalp covered post-op and protected from the sun’s rays for no less than 4 months.
  12. That’s true…styling gel helped me until the length got to at least 5 inches.
  13. You may need to use some styling gel or spray to hold the hair in place when changing styling directions.
  14. We all react differently to this type of surgery regarding pain, healing, etc. IMHO, doing smaller sessions by FUE is fine as long as you give each session enough time to heal…I would never condone doing multiple small FUT procedures, only by FUE would be okay.
  15. I highly recommend that you first check with your surgeon as some doctors will advise to wait until the regrowth has been fulfilled…others may be okay using a non-peroxide based dye such as Just for Men product…it is also important that complete healing of the scalp has taken place.
  16. Re-evaluate after the regrowth takes place to see if you will need to add some more grafts in the gap…also send an email to your surgeon now with these photos so you have your concerns documented.
  17. Bucky, the passing of time in the healing process should improve the surface of your scalp in the recipient area and because your procedure is still pretty recent, using some quality aloe vera cream several times per day will definitely help.
  18. Oh yes my friend, being on finasteride for a year is ideal and should help with shock loss.
  19. On average shock loss occurs approximately 4 weeks post-op whether its in the donor area or the recipient area…keep in mind there are exceptions, it can occur as early as 2 weeks post-op or as late as 8 weeks.
  20. Shedding and shock loss are 2 different things…but they behave intermittently and it’s the resting period that lasts approximately 90 days after the shed.
  21. Transplanted hair is not as susceptible to shock loss as native hair, especially native hair that is diffusing.
