  1. So impressive Joe to the point of being miraculous! Plaudits well deserved for Dr Hasson and the little angels. A H&W (happiness and wonderment) production. Matched only by the equally impressive Dr Wong I would suggest - will you be doing the same for Dr W? Bill
  2. Hi David, Yes of course, you too are almost 12 months post op - a double celebration then! Do hope you are happy with your result so far - don't think it is any great secret that I am. Crown appears to be slow in developing but then I look in mirror and think "would I prefer to be where I was a year ago" no!! so I stop moaning - well more of a lament than a moan really. Have taken some photos at 9 months and will post them along with a few 10 month shots in the next couple of weeks. Look forward to receiving the invitation and meeting details in due course. Best wishes. Bill
  3. Joe Your visit almost coincides with my transplant 12 month anniversary on 13 May. It would be really nice to meet with you, Dr Wong and David in London on one of the designated days. I would also be happy to meet with any of your prospective clients for them to view my result and also to respond to any questions relating to my experience of the whole process. Regards, Bill
  4. NHP, I slept almost as normal after my transplant except for using a neck pillow. That is I slept on my side, the graphs being on the top of my head, and am not prone to turning over much during the night - or so I think. As for the time it takes for graphs to become secure I was advised by my doctor that they should be so after 2/3 days. If in any doubt during these early stages I would suggest you liase with your doctor. Good luck. Bill
  5. Such a good result and transformation Joe, the patient must be very pleased with this outcome. Doctor Wong does is magic once again! Kind regards. Bill
  6. UKresponder. Enjoyed reading your post, went through a similar thought process too. Enjoyed even more your 6 month result, not as much as you I'm sure! You chose an excellent clinic, with equally good UK support through Spex and I would be confident in predicting an excellent final outcome. All the best. Bill
  7. Congratulations Nicky on a tremendous mop of hair - exceedingly good result. Enjoy it - stating the obvoius I know - and the freedom it brings! Bill
  8. Kathie47 good of you to comment. What is particularly heartwarming is your view that I'm seeing early results, with the prospect of more to come - keeps me optimistic for the coming months. Many thanks. Bill
  9. Thank you Tonycc. Always very pleasing to recieve positive feedback. Bill
  10. Thanks Spex and of course you are right about being patient. My patience levels seem to ebb and flow, depending where I am on the perceived scale of progress. What is exciting at this stage is the view that I am a long way from the final result! Kind regards, Bill
  11. Bald, rich and famous, not a bad place to be. Bald, relatively poor and inconspicuous, not such a good place to be. Elvis once sang "who cares for fame and fortune"! Me, I'd rather have hair - preferably on my head - and specifically on my scalp.
  12. Thank you Lorenzo for your reply and kind words. It is so good having a hairline; don't fear wind anymore. In my minds eye I still have the old combover image and continue to be amazed and delighted when I catch my reflection with the new look. I certainly feel there is more to come, at the very least, with the crown - looking forward to the next few months. Bill
  13. HighTopFade, My initial reaction is you should consult, in person, with a reputable hair transplant surgeon; possibly two for a second opinion - coupled with the view that surgery should not be considered an option at this point or possibly for many years to come, if at all. These views are purely based on your age and quality of photo, the latter open to doubt and thus could be misleading. I wish you well and the courage to make the right (and informed) decision. Bill
  14. Thank you for your kind words Ukbloke. I also experienced spots on the way through to now and concur with the view that they are a good sign of impending growth. Your open air 'photos consolidate my view that progress is shadowing textbook expectancy; as mine appears to have done. I found it comforting to review and follow the progress of others with similarities to my situation and thus guage my development in such context - with, of course, an understanding that similar does not mean exact. Therefore, hope my journal has been of use to you. I shall continue to post every month for the foreseeable future and if you should have any questions please do not hesitate to ask. Kind regards. Billy
  15. Thank you David. Good of you to reply and your good wishes, as ever, are most welcome. Kind regards. Bill
  16. From one ukbloke to another congratulations on your hair transplant and best wishes for the continuing journey. Like me you managed to get good coverage over a large area - I worked from the premise that the end result can only be better than where I started from, given the quality of the surgeon involved. It, of course, is a time and patience conundrum but I feel you are past the most difficult phase and judging from your 3 month photos are where you should be and well on the way to a pleasing result. Bill
  17. magicaltimes, The more I see of Dr Path's work the more impressed I become and this is no exception. Good luck and grow well over the coming months. As for the hat issue I would not have thought wearing one at this stage should have an adverse effect. However, can I suggest if in doubt consult with Dr Path for a definitive view. Bill
  18. Speegs, Looks to be such an improvement from where you began. Can only concur with previous comments in that this is relatively early days for you - much more to come! Good luck. Bill
  19. From my limited experience David, this looks to be a good result in the making. Best wishes to Stansen for the coming months. Bill
  20. Hello everyone and a belated happy new year! I have posted an 8 month and 2 days post op update on my blog and should be grateful for any comments. All continues to grow well, the crown so much slower than the rest as can be seen. To the touch the crown area has a lot of hair in it and should, I hope, look reasonable once it has grown and caught up with the rest of the scalp. I'm not expecting anything other than modest coverage when it does finally mature. Given my graph count of 3739 I am most pleased and impressed with the result so far - don't think I can be anything other than that really! Would mention that all photos taken without flash. My hair was very dry and frizzy for this batch of pictures; can only put it down to excessive use of shampoo a couple of days earlier. Oh yes and I don't use hair products, other than the aforementioned shampoo that is. Best wishes. Bill
  21. Looks so good Lorenzo. Congratulations and enjoy a happy new year. Bill
  22. Darren, My experience of Propecia (Finisteride) is limited. Can only say that in using it for almost a year I have not experienced any negative side effects. In my case I see it as a stabiliser rather than a method for regrowth. That is not to suggest it wont be effective in re-establishing hair seemingly gone. As for the examples provided by Spex, in my opinion they are impressive and an indication of what can be achieved. Of course any given outcome is not universal. However, I do not doubt Spex' integrity (not suggesting you do) in this or any other instance. Good luck in your research. Bill
  23. Bhim, I too experienced pimples and bumps over the first few months post op, which are apparently natural to the regrowth process. To ease your concerns, would suggest you check with your hair transplant doctor, especially if you are experiencing bleeding. Good luck. Bill
  24. I wish you well Joe for the coming months and look forward to seeing your progress. Bill
  25. Good to see your encouraging words Uselessgomez. I agree wholeheartedly with all your observations. Think I have a tendency to forget that 7 months is little more than half way to a final outcome. Yet I would say I am generally a realist - perhaps with a dash of day dreamer, mixed at times with a modicum of impatience. Regards. Bill
