  1. That's fair I suppose. Though you could do a smaller FUT case. Anyway, glad you are in the process of rectifying your situation. Just a waiting game now.
  2. So FUT is a totally obsolete procedure now in all cases?
  3. The angling of the hairs is slightly more up than desirable as Ryan Daniel mentioned, but I think it still looks quite natural. It looks unremarkable in a good way - I wouldn't look at it and think twice. Glad you can feel your age again bro. You make the trip to Turkey from the states or are you Europe? That's quite a ways to go.
  4. Looks about normal to me just comparing it to where I was at 8 weeks. Given how red/bloody the front was post-op, no surprise there's still redness. Around 10-12 weeks from now it should be noticeably less.
  5. Most people are unwise then. Perhaps insane was the wrong term. Trusting your health and your scalp (and future appearance) to people based on internet sales marketing (which, if you dig a bit, proves to be rather unconvincing marketing), the poor judgement of other unwise people that have done the same, or any combination of those two things is unwise. You're already playing roulette getting into the hair transplant game to begin with, but the extent to which you're doing so is dependent upon where you go. There are other Dr.s outside the ones you listed in the US that are good as well. And, yes, there are also poor clinics everywhere, no doubt. And the US isn't the only place to consider obviously, but overwhelmingly Turkey should be ruled out of you're from a first world country.
  6. To add to this, I'd be interested to see the pre and post op pics to get a better sense for how much loss he had and how this compares to the rest of his hair. And a couple of pics in harsh and normal lighting where the hair isn't intentionally parted in the middle and where the camera isn't right in the hairline. I'm sure more density could be added, though.
  7. That said, mocking you is rude. And that clinic is unethical for taking you on a second time (with no further examination) after such a poor yield the first time.
  8. Turkey being known for medical tourism doesn't make it any less insane to leave a first world country to be a medical tourist. There is plenty of available information on the internet to steer any half-careful adult away from Turkey as a destination for a hair transplant and any discerning adult should have enough common sense not to be a medical tourist. Period. No excuses. There may be a few actually good clinics in Turkey - so what. Even going to them purely to save money is insane. Period. No excuses. Unless you think they're on par with the clinics in your country, you shouldn't be going to them. As for Hofmann's mental state, I can empathize. I would hope at least his family would be accepting, though. Hopefully he finds it in him to discuss it with them because they're really going to be his main support. I wish him well.
  9. That clinic doesn't count grafts the same way. He's improved, but that clinic does incredibly low density transplants and honestly this is better than I imagine some of their results turn out. Even though it's still very low density. They're atrocious and anything other than abomination afterwards should be considered success. There was a thread on here last week by @stephcurry30 asking how they're even still in business and I wouldn't be surprised if this was posted by the clinic to try to counter that thread given that this was posted 4.5 years after the fact.
  10. It's criminally insane to go to Turkey from a first world country. Doubly so if you do it twice even after a bad first result. I would agree that they botched you, though. That seems fairly clear.
  11. I think as poor as this result is, people should cool it on talking about Michael Hofmann as if he's someone who was struck with a terminal illness in his 20s. This was a conscious choice he made to undergo medical tourism - in fact, it's a choice he made twice - notwithstanding a poor first result. Now I'm still very sympathetic to his concerns and to the fact that his result appears quite poor, but a grown adult from a first world country (I assume he's German) and access to the internet is not some helpless victim. Further, his life isn't over whether or not the most recent transplant improves over time or not. There's also no need to mock the guy.
  12. Don't go to a second rate country to get a medical surgery performed. Your health and your appearance are too important (obviously the latter is because you're getting a hair transplant) to not get the best possible care. Regardless of where you go the best case scenario is you have several months of an altered social life/weird appearance, so do yourself a favor and give yourself the best chance to be satisfied after that 4-6 month down period.
  13. HappyMan has been here for well over a year and you've been here for like 10 days. The least you could do is not be disrespectful in response to people commenting on your thread. Half of your posts have been in your own thread...
  14. Dude, what he wrote was perfectly reasonable. Too many people here write essays when a few sentences and pictures would do.
  15. When you actually comb the hairs the way they’ll go when they’re long enough to comb there’s an improvement.
  16. I’m sure it will thicken in the coming months. It’s definitely coming along.
  17. Depends on the patient. If you want to become a dense NW2 or NW1 and are starting at NW6, that's not possible because you have a finite amount of donor hair. If you look at FUE3361's result, it's pretty clear his hairline is denser than the good majority of guys walking around (even guys without hair loss). Now, if you're talking about achieving the same density and height that you had before your hairline even matured at all - comparable to what you had at 18 - it's debatable whether that's achievable with one surgery, but even that is dependent upon how dense your hair was to begin with and how much loss you've experienced. Contrary to what was said earlier in this thread, the average male frontal hairline is not 80 FU/cm^2 - even amongst men without any signs of hair loss - it's closer to 50 FU/cm^2 if we're talking about average. 80 FU/cm^2 is at the very high end of the spectrum in terms of density for the hairline. The donor region tends to be meaningfully denser than the hairline area, so if you're talking about achieving a hairline that's as dense as your donor - which I don't think anyone is ever talking about - that's probably not doable. As far as what "most" docs pack, I don't think there is a "most." How densely a doc needs to pack a hairline or can pack a hairline is dependent on the degree of loss, the hairline desired, and the thickness of the patients hair. Generally, it seems 65 FU/cm^2 seems to be the the upper end of what docs will do, with 50-60 FU/cm^2 being quite dense. Anything below 40 FU/cm^2 pretty much seems to fail to make the cut.
  18. Ya, there were grafts planted there for sure. And I never bled or dislodged them It did get a bit irritated more than other areas when I exercised (started 2 months after operation), so I figure it's going to take more time. It's not as if it's completely bare even now, so I'm not too stressed. Also, I really don't think that tiny area would be a big deal if it ended up slightly less good - it's not a gaping wound type weakness, more like a minor scratch.
  19. 4 months and 4 days/ 18 weeks and 1 day. It’s coming in well, the length difference between the rest of my hair is pretty huge. There’s one small part that's a bit worse than the rest still, but even if it doesn’t fill in perfectly, the corner of the hairline would still look good. It’s also probably going to look better once the hairs there are long enough to comb and aren’t just sticking up. Looking forward to the next couple of months. I think it'll be a little denser than my pre-op hairline, though probably less dense than my hairline was when I was 18-20, which is totally fine.
  20. Nizoral 1% you can get OTC, but you need a prescription for 2% in the states. That's pretty significant dermatitis, so 2% is probably wise to try. No harm in washing everyday either.
  21. It looks quite dense so I think it'll look good. That said, it's difficult to gauge proportions when eyebrows aren't included in photos.
  22. No worries. lol I'm actually from Ohio and still live here.
  23. Looks like a very strong hairline. I feel like black dudes have more pressure to have a really flat, low hairline. Glad you got a desirable result..
