  1. I guess, I am . But I was more pointing out the flaws in their approach. not everyone needs or wants perfection though. Value and cost is important for a lot of people so at the end of the day it’s an individual decision. I was mainly pointing out that sometimes the added quality comes at an added cost. At the price point you mentioned it’s not possible.
  2. Does he give you a breakdown of the grafts? I.e. how many singles, doubles, triples etc.? what type of medical regiment does he want you to take and how pushy is he regarding this?
  3. around 35 seconds in the video. look at the amount of grafts on her hands. She is leaving them out to dessicate for minutes. You are also able to see the extraction holes in that clip. They are huge. But hey if you stuff the scalp with grafts and even if 70% grow it will look great for 2 years. After which patient will be SOL. clinics like this are for people that do not know anything about the nuances of hair transplant and just look at value, trusting the medical system thinking hair transplant is just like any other medical procedure. Most members here are not as naive.
  4. While price does not always equal quality, you need to be skeptical of ridiculous prices like this. If you are getting a bar of gold SIGNIFICANTLY below the market price there may be something off. While hair transplant itself is not actually commodity like gold it still has a price point under which it is not possible to make money given labor and supply cost. So what clinics will do? cut corners. Can you cut corners and still have a good result. Yes possible for 1-2 years. Can you cut corners and have lifetime good results with high refinement and naturalness.. highly unlikely. You can buy a shirt at walmart or you can buy a shirt at Neiman marcus. You can wear both shirts and they will both be functional but one will look better and last longer.
  5. This. Correct. the way de freitas does his hairline design sometimes it appears pluggy and see through. I dont know if its the rows that gives this appearance, the use of implanters or just patient characteristics
  6. Ask Keser. He will tell you. Just so you know, telogen by definition is hair that is fallen out or about to fall out. If it has fallen out there is nothing to see there. EVEN under 100x magnifcation that telogen hair will not be "visible" cause it is not there. It will only be realized 2 years later when it grows back in. what you are stating are the hairs that are about to fall out. Having a few percent of doubles in your hairline will not make or break your hair transplant result. having an hourly technician take a short cut will. (not saying every tech will do it just a possiblity). Heitman may have changed this recently. for the longest time he did everything himself. He is doing slightly bigger cases now so it is possible he has hired techs to sort the grafts now. Like i said i dont know anyone of these guys personally. but they are all quality. I do not know freitas. he maybe quality too. I am just saying that the statement "keser does not use microscope dont go to him" is not a valid statement.
  7. yes but what i am saying is most doctors can tell you an answer you will never be able to verify. 99% of the respected clinics if you tell them hey i want to talk to your technicians and verify their experience will show you the door. In theory what you are saying is good in reality it is unlikely you will be able to execute it.
  8. Will these best doctors also disclose to you when their well trained technician quits and they are training a brand new technician on "you"? will they risk losing revenue by disclosing that fact? just wondering what your logic tells you? Do you believe in a team that uses 5 plus technicians to run the operation all 5 are "well trained" working there for "ten plus years"
  9. Heitman does not have technicians. He does not have Traditional microscopes. Work is fantastic. pekinner has technicians. work is fantastic Keser has technicians. work is fantastic keser will inform you if you ask him how he makes sures there are singles in the hairline. You are associating not having a microscope with not being able to confirm singles in the hairline. I absolutely do not work for either of those three. I just know about the industry at a level that forum patients usually cannot or would not be able to know. I have no bone in the fight other than trying to rid of incorrect facts. you can go to defritas or keser whatever the patient pleases.
  10. Another thing that gets paraded around a lot on this forum is hair transplant is a team effort. You need a team to do it well. Usually these type of statements are propped up by tech reliant clinics that are approved physicians on this forum. Clinics where doctors are home and checking on the final result through tech sent photos... And well this forum has a vested interest in it. but calling out a spade as a spade is also important if this forum wants to achieve longevity otherwise within 5 years it will be in the dark dungeons of googles obsolete websites. Doctors like heitman, keser, pekinner clearly disprove that statement. At the end of the day the system the doctor sets up needs to work for THAT clinic and the patient needs to have trust in the doctor he chooses. OFten talking and having a consult once you narrow down the to a few choices will help you realize who you think is the right fit for you.
  11. i find it comical when patients who have no idea about the surgical procedures make blanket statements like this. Keser has his system that he will not share with anyone cause it is his system. Zarev does not use microscopes or loupes yet people here parade him around like he is the next coming of Christ. Every doctor has his system that they may or may not share with other patients or doctors. This is a very cut throat industry. There is no doubt in my mind Keser deals with his patients at the highest ethics and integrity. I urge you to stop bulleting around points pressed on by mediocre docs as you need this or you need that. I know how Keser does what he does, it is not my place to say it. All i can say is a microscope is not needed for the way he runs things. He may even have it and just not use it.
  12. For me it would be Keser hands down. While there are exceptions in most cases, a physician handling everything from start to finish will have more consistent results. Keser also does what defreitas does with 30% less grafts.
  13. Sean, Your focus should not be on "how many grafts were implanted" but on how good your results will be. Your transplant photos (from what I can tell) actually looks decent and the doctor did a decent job. I know most clinics charge by the grafts, and as a patient you want to make sure "you get what you paid for" so the clinics should be more transparent but true 5200 pure follicular units would butcher your donor area at your age, and you look very young. In summary: no it does not look like true 5200 follicular units, but it also does not matter, and to be honest you would not want to have a true 5200 follicular unit transplanted at your age.
  14. Surgeons say this is a good referring point to place the hairline, but it is not a hard and fast rule. You still have to use your judgement, experience and knowledge to adjust based on variety of factors.
  15. Disappointment or Not with a surgery and your choices are up to you and yours alone. Failure, however is objective and just cause someone is disappointed with a procedure does not automatically equals failure.
  16. There is no harm in starting minoxidil. it can only help.
  17. Be weary of doctors that just tell you what you want to hear instead of speaking the truth due to fear of losing patients to competitors.
  18. I am worried something else is going on outside of male pattern baldness. this is really odd to look so good to this bald again. Iron deficiency? Vit D deficiency? hormonal issue? telogen effluvium? any other meds? environmental? could be so much but this is very odd. i think
  19. At 20 you are considered an independent adult and allowed to make your own decisions. If you tell them you agree to sign an informed consent regarding risks of surgery at your age, and you comprehend that long term pattern is impossible to predict but you are willing to take that risk, then yes you will be able to get a reputable doctor to perform surgery.
  20. hey, I am busy so can’t reply in detail but my intention was not to make u feel bad. I meant to say it wasn’t your fault at all, and if I was in your shoes would have done everything u did. So no. Nothing u did was wrong.
