  1. 8 months. Probably my final check in now until month 12 as my hair seems to have pretty much settled. Indoor and bright outdoor shots. Very happy where I am, can’t thank Dr Bicer enough. I wear my hair in a side part but have also shown several other angles. The right side has a life of its own , grows far quicker than the left, at times it’s hard to control it grows that quick (A nice problem to have 🤣)
  2. His instagram / stories tend to have decent updates . I agree he’s still a risk purely because he’s so new. The more independent reviews that come in the better.
  3. Mittal presents his cases well and his work looks clean. Because he’s surfaced fairly recently there isn’t many post 18 month cases yet though so to a degree it is a gamble. From what I’ve seen however he has the potential to be a breakout star Dr in the next few years. One to keep an eye on.
  4. It’s a tricky one trusting someone 100% to carry your reputation especially if you barely know that person. Maybe Zarev isn’t at that stage right now where he is willing to go down this path. We’ve also seen countless surgeons try to expand their business and suffer reputation damage due to poorer results. So in that respect it’s understandable. I agree with the attention to detail, nobody comes close from what I hear. 3+ hours just for an initial consultation alone!
  5. If you suffer from any heart related issue I’d tread very carefully. Consulting your Dr is an absolute must in your case. A fuller head of hair is nice but pales into insignificance compared to your health.
  6. Zarev presents his work like every surgeon worth their salt should. There is no dull lighting or shady use of fibres or photoshop. It’s clear as can be with close ups in harsh lighting. I’m sick to death of seeing clinics posting fake results and enticing unsuspecting patients in. His cases for NW7 are incredible. Yes of course there has to be a strong donor but he can only work with the hairs available. I don’t buy that he is selective, he’s just being honest and ethical. If your donor supply isn’t adequate there’s not much even a wizard like Zarev can do. We’ll have to wait a few years to see if his work holds up over time but given how selective he is of grafts I’d be pretty confident it will
  7. It’s a yes from me Theres a wealth of cases around with very good results both directly from the clinic and independent patients. A very solid option you can put your faith in. Surprised his rates are still in line with several Turkish ‘mills’. He’s earned the right to bump his prices up a little and I think It’s a disservice to call him a ‘budget’ option. (I’ve no relationship with this clinic btw before anyone thinks I’m a shill 🤣).
  8. Donor management of all listed above also excellent. I still find it absolutely crazy people tend to place a lower value on this than the recipient end result 1) Your donor hair is precious, it doesn’t replenish and you may need to dip into those reserves again. 2) What’s the point of having a decent head of hair on top if your donor looks horrid. It will be the first thing people notice!
  9. Slightly off topic, I notice the area behind the front hairline to be problematic for a lot of people. A big reason is the frontal area tends to be packed denser but there’s obviously more to it as it’s not always the case.
  10. No doubt there is a number of decent surgeons out there that don’t feature heavily or at all on here. Forums are essentially the modern day word of mouth. Unless one or two people take a chance on a surgeon and post their result they’ll never get traction to attract others. I certainly wouldn’t go to a surgeon who has little or no case evidence. That doesn’t mean they are automatically a poor surgeon though.
  11. Bloody hell for 4 months that’s amazing. This is going to look fantastic once you hit the 7 months nevermind the usual 1 year mark!
  12. Can only echo the above Forget price and location. Look first at results and more importantly cases similar to your own hair loss pattern. Once you have grouped a handful of surgeons you like, contact them to get a feel / see what plan they’d have Even if you have to put surgery off for a year or two it will pass quickly compared to the lifetime result you are left with. When I first started researching price was my biggest factor too. The more I educated myself and the horrors of a potential botch job the less it became a primary deal clincher! That being said the two surgeons you have listed are very capable, it’s certainly not a dig at the cheaper option here. Good Luck whoever you choose!
  13. Agree with above. Hairlines are generally not symmetrical, with two sides of someone’s face / head subtly different. It’s not uncommon. The swelling with also exaggerate any differences.
  14. It’s pretty standard and safer to approach large graft sessions in two stages. Only a very small handful of surgeons such as Zarev can execute gigasessions successfully. Gur is a very ethical Dr and working towards getting you an optimal result. I know it’s a huge inconvenience to have to go through the process twice but long term it’s for the best. Im in that boat myself so I can understand how you feel but trust your Dr and the process.
  15. This has the potential to be an all time great. Can we have a pic of your donor areas too? It’s nice to see more Zarev patients on forums because until now they’ve been fairly rare. The body of work that is out there is as good as you can get. His techniques are proving to be revolutionary in the field. Barring a leap in regrowing hair this is the pinnacle of the industry right now. Norwood 7, on course for full coverage in 1 procedure and a healthy looking donor area too. Elite surgeon!
  16. 7 months is still relatively early,. I’m bang on that stage now myself and only noticed thickening the last 2 weeks or so.
  17. Thanks everyone. The last 2 weeks it’s really taken off. I’ve not mixed much around so can only attribute the extra kick to a change in weather season (my existing hair has also had a noticeable uplift).
  18. Thanks , I’ve been following your thread too! Hopefully a big few months of growth ahead for us 🙂
  19. Whoever you choose don’t let wait times dictate the decision. The best Dr’s have longer waiting times for a reason.
  20. Of the Dr’s you listed I think Gur has a package in which he does everything himself whereas Yaman / Turan have tech involvement for some steps. Which may go some way to explain the ability to perform larger procedures over 1 day. Don’t be put off by tech involvement, some are highly skilled and done rightly they can be a big asset. Focus on the clinic and their previous results rather than just the Dr. I agree with the 2 procedure approach. It’s far less risky. Don’t be focused on Turkey either. There are a lot of decent clinics to consider. Start reaching out now and get a feel for how Drs would approach your case. You’ll be amazed how much they differ.
  21. Almond oil worked for me and was recommended by my Dr
