Maybe up your Fin dose to 1mg to see if that has any impact? If you’ve been on Minoxidil for over a decade I’d say there’s more chance of its potency beginning to wane. But it does seem coincidental that it’s occurred when it has.

We had a long chat about the options and decided to work with the existing forelock as a baseline for the hairline. She’s added density to it. I need further work to my mid scalp and crown. With that in mind we decided to keep it conservative. Im still in my 30s and whilst my hair loss has stabilised thanks to Fin there is still a chance over time it slowly loses effectiveness and again progresses. Having some grafts still ‘in the tank’ for touch ups should this happen was also a factor in not lowering the hairline. Conversations like that are why I went with Bicer. It wasn’t simply about the here and now result, it was her long term thinking that stood out from other consultations I had.

At around 3.5 months I had a large explosion of new hairs popping through. I’m now 5 months post op but seem to have plateaued for the last 3 weeks (In terms of new hairs appearing). Naturally curious to know if this is it in terms of new growth or if others have experienced similar lulls before added growth? How was everybody else’s cycle? Steady or ups and downs? Here’s my thread from pre to post op of where I am at.

Scalp dryness 5 months after procedure
ScottishGuy21 replied to Razzle1980's topic in Hair Transplant Reviews
Pay a visit to a local dermatologist. They’ll give you guidance and be able to rule out conditions such as seb dermatitis. Best to get a proper answer than to second guess. Also speak to your surgeon, they may advise the use of something to help moisturise the scalp. -
Dr. Bruno Ferreira | FUE 3653 grafts | 01/04/2021
ScottishGuy21 replied to TGR46's topic in Hair Transplant Reviews
Although they haven’t posted on here in a while the patient indicated they felt a positive benefit of the surgery so it has been worth while. Given how much of a perfectionist Ferreira is I’m sure he will have been very hands on in any discussions. It wouldn’t surprise me at all if he’s offered touch up work (Hence the patients silence since). It’s important to remember every case is not going to be a 10/10…and there’s a wide range of factors that could impact the final result. Like I’ve said in other threads, if a company / Dr is shilling 10/10s every time they aren’t legit. -
How does a transplanted hair grow?
ScottishGuy21 replied to Daniel A's topic in Hair Restoration Questions and Answers
I had a decent new growth spurt bang on the 3 month mark. Im now at 4 1/2 months. That hair has thickened but still a little way to go before it blends with my natural hair. Hoping for more new hairs to pop up still too. About to add oral monox to my stack to give new and yet to pop hair that added push. Wondering Is it normal to have spurts followed by a couple of weeks of no new hairs? Naturally a little worried due to the lull that’s my lot now? -
Loss of feeling in my head post transplant
ScottishGuy21 replied to davidk's topic in Hair Restoration Questions and Answers
Totally normal . I had it for a couple of months , it gradually reduces. -
I’m 4 months post transplant I’ve got my first months worth of oral minox but yet to begin. Do you guys think at this stage post transplant it’s wise? Or best to ride it out a few more months? I’ve been on fin for a couple of years which thankfully pre op stabilised my hair loss. Now looking to give my new growth an extra kick

Zarev. Incredible sessions he does which has again pushed the boundary as to what is possible graft wise -
is the dizziness from Finasteride or Oral Minoxidil?
ScottishGuy21 replied to AB0274's topic in Hair Loss Drugs
More chance of Minox and blood pressure related I’d say surely? -
Hair Graft loss?
ScottishGuy21 replied to jozefeke's topic in Hair Restoration Questions and Answers
That far post op your grafts are rooted and secure. I know it looks pretty scary but that’s just shedding you’re encountering. I had the same at your stage and freaked out! -

Dr Ozlem Bicer 7/18/2022 - My personal review - FUE
ScottishGuy21 replied to Steve B's topic in Hair Transplant Reviews
I’m 4 months post op and did not agree to my photos being published but found the after care to be good. Her team are available on WhatsApp and respond within a few hours. I had a case of seb derm which Dr Bicer FaceTimed me to examine / give guidance, that aside I’ve not needed to contact them thankfully I have had to send photos every month in. Last month I was a little late and they actually chased it up with me. So it may be worth asking for your photos to be reviewed? -
Surgery day considered Day 1 or next day?
ScottishGuy21 replied to JustJax's topic in Hair Restoration Questions and Answers
Personally I’d always air on the side of caution. Treat Day 1 as first day post op -
Payment - Clinica De Freitas
ScottishGuy21 replied to Thagppps's topic in Hair Restoration Questions and Answers
It’s pretty common. Your Dr is well trusted you’ve nothing to worry about. The best surgeons are always in demand, but with demand naturally comes a % of time wasters. The deposit scheme like you’ve mentioned is a way of ensuring you are serious about the procedure and to protect the clinic against any losses from potential no-shows. -
Very clean work. Personally think Bruno has moved on from the rising star tag to elite Dr status now. Seen some amazing work recently that rivals anything elsewhere.

Expectations are way too high due to the world of social media. Everybody expects are 10/10 result because that’s what they see on Instagram I’d be more wary of a clinic posting 10/10 results every time than one with solid 8/10 ones. Lighting, topik and dare I say photoshop can all give a hugely false impression to would be customers. That’s the beauty of this forum. There’s a wealth of detail for people to look through with endless streams of clinic reviews. It’s fairly easy to get a feel for a Dr once you’ve spent a few hours on here.
