  1. 6 months in. I’ve taken photos with my hair styled and then messy so you can get a better picture of growth. There’s also one in direct harsh sunlight. Overall very happy with progress this month. Hair has got noticeably thicker , hoping that continues. There is still a thinner area behind my original forelock but I know this area tends to lag behind the hairline. Thoughts now starting to turn to my second planned surgery to address my midscalp.
  2. There’s a trade off when a clinic gets popular. Do they maximise the financial input and rely more on techs or turn away business? Over reliance on inexperienced techs coupled with diminishing involvement of Drs sadly only hinders the end result. I really hope this isn’t happening here 🙁
  3. My clinic advised no spray. Only on day 3 was there an application of lotion to loosen up scanning . As per above, go with your own Dr’s advice. Each one operates differently.
  4. Thanks 👍🏻 You’re doing the right thing. When it comes to the heart you can never be too careful. I guess I was just one of the small minority to have negative sides. I’m on Fin and fine with that so it’s not the end of the world.
  5. As posted in another section yesterday… Tried oral minox recently and had some scary sides. Chest pain and a change in heart rate kicked in around the 3-4 week mark. Thankfully after a full heath check and coming off it I’m fine now. Dr suggested the bag around my heart had taken on excess fluids. He couldn’t say 100% it was the meds as viral infections can cause this however he’d be very surprised if it wasn’t. So just a word of warning. Even if you’ve got a full bill of health and no previous medical issues these meds can have quite serious side effects . I know I’m probably the 1/100 minority it happens to but be careful when first starting them and listen to your body. My dose was 2.5 mg per day

  7. Looks ok to me, I know it’s hard but try not to over think things. At 16 days post op it’s still very early days. Your donor scars are still healing and the area around them is still recovering. For the stage you’re at things look pretty standard.
  8. Have you a pic of the donor right after your op?
  9. I aired on the side of caution and gave it a month for heavy lifting , 3 weeks for running The aim until your scabs are gone and wounds healed is to be as clean as possible. Personally for the sake of a few days I didn’t want to risk infection / folliculitis Always go with what your Dr says
  10. Donor looks sensational given the amount of grafts taken looking forward to seeing you hit the growth stage now 🙌🏻
  11. Ah man that’s not good. I was a Norwood 2 to 3 by 18 but it stabilised for a decade, foolishly thought no meds were required. Between 28-31 my hairloss rapidly accelerated. Best of luck to you. You’ll feel like a new person when it’s done. The newfound confidence you regain makes it all worthwhile!
  12. This. If I’d have started meds around 28 I’d have saved myself a lot of hassle.
  13. Donor looks in very good condition too 👍🏻. Around the 4 month mark is when it really comes to life so not too long now.
  14. Having a hair transplant is a traumatic experience both physically and mentally. It’s often underestimated what a patient goes through for the first few months. Hang in there mate you’re almost over the worst bit now.
  15. Looking at your pics I think the position looks fine. It doesn’t look too low. On the hairline straightness it’s still impossible to tell at this stage. You’re still in the early part of your recovery and bound to be a little sceptical about things. Once you do get some growth you’ll feel my much better about things. Try not to stress too much. I know it’s easier said than done when every time you walk past a mirror you’re tempted to look (Been there myself!). But the added stress isn’t good for your health or your new hair. It’s good you’re getting things off your chest in here though , that’s what the community is for 👍🏻
  16. Once it grows out it will appear much lower. I was a NW5 so couldn’t go too aggressive either with hairline height. I 100% get your concerns but trust the process and in a few months you’ll regain that confidence.
  17. This. Keep a photo log and if you do feel like there is recession creeping in get on Fin asap. I had the typical ‘M’ which was pretty stable from around 18-30. (So didn’t use any medication). Between 30-34 it recessed massively and into my mid scalp.
  18. What’s is he charging per graft now? Interested to see how that compares to other top European Dr’s. His attention to detail does seems to be on another level and that carries through to the results. Not sure I’ve seen a bad job from him
  19. Yes I had a procedure in Turkey, not with the same Dr but I also paid in cash. It’s pretty standard over there
  20. Also this is an ethical approach that should be commended. One mega session for someone so young is never a good idea.
  21. Im 5 1/2 months post op myself so understand your frustrations. My hair has growth but like your good self it’s still developing. I’ve learned to never compare progress to YouTube or even on here. Trust the process and your Dr. Your hairline has already changed dramatically for the better. From here on out it will only continue to improve even more😀
  22. Wow that’s a stunning transformation already. Plenty would be happy with that as an end result! Must feel great to know you’ve still got months ahead to progress even further. Looks like a home run cert Gur has had some impressive stuff of late. Is he still linked to Fuecapilar?
  23. Crown is always slower to grow. So wouldn’t be too worried about either yet.
  24. Has your hair loss stabilised during your time on Medication? You’re still very young so this is key in deciding and future steps.
