To be honest, I've never heard of this mixture in the past. However, I'm aware that finasteride can come in a foam/oil form to apply directly to the scalp. People usually take finasteride (pill form) while using minoxidil without any issue. It's said to be the most affective way to promote growth. For most people, the pill form is also the most convenient method of taking the medication as it's easy to add to your daily cycle. Whereas an oil/foam is more hassle to put on each day. Personally I only take finasteride. What ever suits you best sir.

Overlooking too much, honestly. The graft is placed deep into your skin, the surface shouldn't be a concern.. especially since it was only three hours.

If I remember correctly, the native hair follicles on the front/crown of your head are weaker to DHT. So replacing them with transplanted follicles from the back/sides won't have the same issue as the original (could be mistaken). Regardless, you need to be on finasteride after a transplant to prevent future balding of your native hair.

Looking good, some hair falls out with the scabs but it's normal; the follicle is still there. I'm sure you're aware that all of those hairs are going to fall out in the next few weeks to grow back.

Hi, Just be cautious with getting a hair transplant while on vacation. For example; you're not allowed to have your scalp exposed to the sun during the healing process, you're not even allowed to sweat for the first few days.

Hi, I've been on this forum for around six months now and noticed that there is only one moderator for the whole forum who is also the administrator. I'd like to vouch the proposition to have additional moderators to help take care of the forum. Two members I believe would make perfect moderators are; @Gatsby & @gillenator. No finasteride? If you get a hair transplant and not plan to take medication afterwards, it's going to be a downward spiral. Have you tried Finasteride in the past? Do you indeed experience the side effects? I've been on them for a year and no side effects personally. If you're indeed one of the rare people who have said side effects, there is also a topical version of finasteride which does not affect any other part of the body.

Glad you're taking medicine sir. You're catching your hair loss quite early! I tried a hair piece when I was 22, it made me more self conscious than without it. They're an absolute nightmare to take care of. I now absolutely hate glue. Despite what a lot of people say, I don't think hair pieces are good for your scalp AT ALL. 25 now and got my first hair transplant in 2021, it's brought back my hairline, quite happy. Several hair transplant doctors will turn you away if you're under the age of 24. You should wait a bit longer and see what the medication does to you. If you don't see any more hair loss, it's doing its job.

SMP apparently goes a long way with a crown transplant!

Hi! I'm at 6 months post operation. I noticed the hair near my crown has thinned more than it used to look (been taking finasteride every day for over a year). Is this shock loss? Can it still happen months after operation? Here is 9 weeks post operation; And here is 6 months post operation;

Hi, nice to hear from you. I don't believe hair fibers would work on the frontal area; it's more so for masking the crown. SMP is kinda like permanent hair fibres that hide your scalp, not sure if SMP can look natural on the front area either. I suppose on sunny days we can have our hair "down" hiding the hairline (depending on how well your crown area is)? Have you begun your hair transplant journey?

By beauty saloon I mean learning to work with needles.etc (ie. lip fillers, face fillers, derma pens, all those basic facial modification techniques). Cosmetic work that gives you the training to be considered a cosmetic nursing assistant.

You probably have to be a trainee at a beauty saloon for a little bit first for portfolio, then apply for training with a clinic that is taking in trainees.

All normal man. They're meant to be completely gone by the second week I think.

Hey guys, hope you are doing well. At my clinic I was given this big goofy 'fisherman-like' hat that I was allowed to wear from the second day onwards. It was used to protect from the sun.etc. As long as your hat is not TIGHT, you should be safe. I was wearing my own hat after the first month mark. Going to throw in a confession; When returning back from Turkey, I was not allowed into my country until 10 days (due to covid laws), so I had to stay in the neighbouring country. About one week after the surgery, I went shoulder deep into the ocean at the beach! This is something you're obviously not meant to do, but I didn't have any complications from it. Just food for thought, feel free to check out my hair transplant thread, I'm on month 6 now.

Thank you for the response! I've used toppik in the past, hoping for something a little more permanent, even if it is for three years. Does it disappear completely or leave a slight tint? Rogaine gives me an allergic reaction unfortunately.
