  1. So I don’t think his looks that bad at all, as long as graft angle for temporal points is done well... his friend though... RIP that hairline design
  2. Amazing hairline. Looks great. Happy for you. My only nitpick would be that (to me) is that there's quite a lot of patchy areas in the donor site. I could assume this would be either to: 1. The extractor tool used must have been relatively high diameter 2. You had some permanent shock loss around graft removal sites in your donor. 3. The extraction pattern didn't randomize chosen grafts very well and extracted more than 1-2 grafts side by side. Either way, a super success story, and if you plan to have your hair just a little bit longer, there is no way it is visible.
  3. Also, I didn't know this honestly. What is the reason they don't do pre made slits? I'd think you can get better density that way. My doctor pre makes slits, puts the grafts into implanter pens (Ones that don't have a sharp point, since they don't need to pierce skin) and then implants the grafts there. He says he can achieve higher densities if he makes the slits by themselves compared to if he went DHI (I also assume DHI implanter pens have a higher circumference than pens just for opening slits.
  4. When I have my final results and some time has passed, I will let you guys know who the doctor/clinic is. Don't want to do it so close to having done the surgery.
  5. Id consider it, but I’m really not a fan of buzz cuts, but I’ll definitely consider it. Also, your hairline looks absolutely amazing, congratulations! Surgery #1 was great, and second one was like dessert, the cherry on top to make things just that much better!
  6. This is an easy answer. Tell her or don't tell her, it makes zero difference. One one side, Don't tell her if there's nothing to hide. As in, go to the place, get the SMP done, and you're finished. If she notices a difference, just answer "I got SMP done", and explain if she asks more. As long as it appears like it is no big deal for you, it should be no big deal for her. On the other side of the coin, Do tell her, and just casually mention it. "I'm gonna get SMP done tomorrow". "SMP is a simple procedure to make my hair look thicker, it's harmless". But DON'T go around trying to hide things and looking insecure, and doubly don't act like it is a huge deal and that thinning hair is crushing you inside. Just treat it like no big deal and she'll follow suit.
  7. I was well aware of it too... and realityis still sucking right now...
  8. Looks fantastic! Congrats. But don’t get too attached... it will look like pre surgery soon again... the ugly duckling phase sucks!
  9. My hair naturally has a higher than average angle (more similar to asian hair than western hair), so when a picture is taken from directly ontop, you can't see the density as well since the hairs show less surface area than someone with a more normal slanted hair growth. But yeah, hopefully they all survive, I think the result should be really good. As for not seeing the outline where I was bald, well I am not really "bald" anywhere, I just was born with a larger than I'd like forehead. And I had hair implanted there to reduce the size of the forehead to something I find more pleasing. So yeah, no real balding, but that's just semantics.
  10. At 2 months, pretty much look the same as when I was at 1 month mark, except the few stray hairs are much longer now. Not much to update on. Here's 2 pictures show in sunlight to give an idea (I'll post higher quality pictures once there are real results to show):
  11. You’re crying and not listening to anyone. Do yourself a favor and read this 5 times if necessary: You don’t know yet. Maybe that side of your scalp had more trauma during surgery and the follicles will take a month longer to enter active growth stage, maybe your blood flow on that side of the scalp is different, maybe (enter 100 different other reasons)... There are people (trust me, there are) that only START to see any growth at 4 months... ANYWHERE... before 6-7 months, you have absolutely no idea of if it was successful or not. I’ve seen specifically cases just like yours at 5-6 months where a certain area of the hairline is weaker than the rest, and then fills up 7-8 months in. 4 months dude... people literally say all the time, don’t even bother judging before 6months in... so relax, breath, and be happy that it actually looks really good for 4 months in. looking at your post op, the follicles were implanted there at good density... those follicles won’t magically disappear...
  12. Depending on how straight you want the hairline, and if you want your temporal points redone, I think 1700 might be too little to give you the density you want. That said, I would go with the best money can get you, and not really worry about "too long of a waiting list". There's a reason all the best doctors have 1+ year waiting lists, it's because they give great results. Waiting a year or even 2 is worth it.
  13. My clinic had me put Johnson's Baby Oil on the scabs and let it sit for half an hour, then taking a shower. It really softened the scabs a lot and they were falling off easily.
  14. I'm pretty sure even the best surgeons transect follicles ocassionally on every patient. There's thousands of them to extract, and you can't get each extraction perfectly. Sometimes transections happen. That said, the smaller the diameter, the higher chance of transecting a follicle. A skilled hand can get away with a smaller diameter than someone with less skill. That said, I think 0.7-0.9 is pretty standard (as the smallest they go) among the best surgeons out there from what I've seen. But I'm not super educated on the topic, maybe some go even smaller and have good success rates. But to answer the question, I don't think 0.6 is even necessary, even 0.9 still looks great. It is once they start going above 1mm that you can see more visible scarring.
  15. I had 3.3k grafts for probably a similar sized, maybe even smaller area: ( 1 Day after Surgery) (10 Days After) 1k I think is very low for that amount, unless you will wear bangs and cover the area at all times.
  16. I had over 3k grafts for a smaller area than yours. While even 2k is probably enough, 1k I think will always be too sparse. That said, give it a few more months.
  17. My clinic had me apply baby oil to the scabs, that also helps soften them up a lot!
  18. Generally speaking, Creatine is a pretty good supplement. But like you said, those 3kg you gained from it, don't expect to really gain any more. Creatine increases how much water your muscles hold, meaning your muscles look bigger and fuller (and perform slightly better to an extent). But once you're saturated with Creatine, it doesn't really go any higher. So think of Creatine as a 2-3kg buffer. You will not gain any further from it per say, and if you stop, you'll simply lose that same water weight from it. So it's not a huge deal.
  19. First of all, give it time to heal. But with that said, if you don't want to visit a skin care specialist and more do it yourself at home, look into a good derma pen. Those things work wonders for scarring. They're not that expensive, and are WAYS better than a derma roller. A dermapen will cost you less than booking a single dermapen session with a professional.
  20. @Melvin- Moderator @NW8 Here's an example of what Hairliciously (well known Youtuber for hair transplants) looked like a month after his hair transplant. At that point, he still has a lot of tiny hairs that don't seem to have grown, but also haven't shed yet. If we fast forward a few months later in his later videos, his hairline seems to have grown in very well and thick. So many this early, it's normal to have lots of non growing/small hairs that haven't shed?
  21. I have my fingers crossed that you have had some bad shock loss in your donor, and that's why it looks like that.
  22. I assume it is also possible that these hairs are in the non growth phase of their cycle. If that’s the case, they might start growing again after 2-3 months. Just track them until then. If no growth after a few months though, probably dead.
  23. I’ve shed no hairs while showering for last 2-3 days, so I assume for now, this will be my look for the next 2+ months. Can’t wait to start seeing growth after that!
