  1. For anyone else looking at this thread I would recommend doing a consult with Dr Timothy Carmen in San Diego. I just had a consult with him earlier today, and he really impressed me with his insight and experience with hair transplant repairs. He seems like a really high integrity and detailed guy. He brought up points and some preliminary steps to take in my consultation that wasn't brought up in my other consults. It's a bit unfortunate that he doesn't have a ton of recent reviews, he doesn't seem to care too much about social media, I think he just likes to focus on doing quality work and he seems to get enough business from being the only widely known surgeon in the huge metro of San Diego. But I think for people who reach out to him, they get a solid idea his depth of experience and attention to detail. If he had more recent reviews, it may been a very easy decision to go with him. Some bonuses, his prices are more modest compared to top hair transplant surgeons, and his wait times seem to be much shorter as well. I don't think you should make a decision based on those, but if he's your first choice outside of those, they are nice to have.
  2. Looks great! Was all your healing native healing? No sutures?
  3. Except job! Impressive healing. It looks like no sutures were used in the extractions? @BaldV Are you in the same situation as me, also looking to extract from the hairline? I noticed you're in the same threads as me.
  4. The combo of transplants + facial plastic surgery might be a good combo in my case, as I am looking to relocate hairs from the temples without scarring. Amazing to hear that she volunteers with veterans.
  5. I read that his schedule is booked up for two years and is not taking any consultations at the moment, but I should check myself just in case.
  6. Thanks @John P , I did a follow up by phone and was able to get a consult scheduled.
  7. Here's my consultation with Dr Bisinga's rep regarding relocating grafts from hairline, with permission from them to share this here since it helped me. Heads up, Dr Bisinga with be in the US on Aug 28th to perform consultations.
  8. For a while I was playing hit and run with trying very low dose of topical fin and side effects. Eventually I would get them, then wait out a week for the side effects to go away. But for my last one, I'm 2 months out and even though side effects are 95% gone, still not completely. Strongly considering discontinuing.
  9. I'm having a hard time identifying where the scar tissue is. Maybe there's some brighter circles on the right size of Z but that's it for me.
  10. @BaldV Thank you so much for providing all these repair cases. Seriously, you are one of the best. The repair case that was most interesting to me was Dr Konior, he went slow and did multiple procedures, and sutured individual FUE sites closed.
  11. Is it the min itself or the carriers that are used? I think some use some sort of alcohol, and I think that can cause crosslinking
  12. Me too, I am looking for Drs with specifically this type of experience. So far I found that Dr Gabel, Dr Mwamba, and Bisinga has done procedures like this. Do you have a short list? Thanks, that would be amazing.
  13. I'm not sure, @Jay00 were they removed using FUE or strip? If FUE, were the stitched used to maybe push the skin together?
  14. I emailed their clinic a few weeks or maybe even months ago but never a response got back. I've always wondered about this clinic. They are in a huge metro area of San Diego, they are listed in IAHRS and this site's recommended list, but I haven't been able to find any reviews of that clinic from less than a decade ago.
  15. I wonder if high resolution photos will be good enough. For me it'll be along the hairline, not in the donor area, so pictures would be easy to do. I'll ask in my upcoming consults.
  16. Are there any doctors besides Dr. Barghouthi who are willing to try this if the patient is willing to pay for the materials whatever additional labor.
  17. It's something that can reduce scarring while the wound is fresh. Also it's hard to tell with your picture, but it seems that the scarring has all healed now? Or if not, would love a strongly lighted picture I think the punch out were used? Not microstrips?
  18. Ah so 600 grafts were from the hairline? Did they do anything to help prevent scars? I saw in another review they used stitches. Btw, was this in the NJ, AT, or Europe location?
  19. This is of great interest to me as someone seeking a repair. A lot of detail must have went it because 12 hours sounds like a long time for 600. Was it because they were relocating grafts from the hairline?
  20. I'm wondering if they still do just 1 procedure a day there. With 3 doctors, I wonder how they'll get all their patients in?
