  1. Among the top clinics, I noticed some offer it on their site, and others don't. Does it really increase yield? If so, I would imagine this would be standard procedure for most top clinics. If it didn't, there are still some top clinics who use it. Perhaps all clinics have that option, but didn't get around to posting it on their website?
  2. we should submit questions about verteporfin for @Melvin- Moderator 's live interviews , what they think about trying it off label if the patient requests it, etc.
  3. Which hair transplant surgeons on the recommended list do you think would be open to trying this?
  4. Is that really 4000? Seems like it's a lot more than that. Did they mention the clinic?
  5. Great stuff, looks like Hassan has ton a ton of research on it. For my case, it didn't work out too well, but I suspect it's due to carriers in a topical minoxidil that was causing the fin to go systemic. Melvin mentioned earlier that Hassan doesn't like Min due to the effects on collagan, but for the min users, I would love to try a version that also has min. The research Hassan did for his formulation looks very compelling. I wrote my full review here comparing Xyon to Farmacia Parariti
  6. I'm confused, he didn't show you a plan of what he was going to do? What discussions did you share going into the procedure?
  7. I have both Farmacia Parariti and Xyon topical finasteride at 2.5%, but Farmacia Parariti also has 4% minoxidil. The Xyon topical finasteride does not have any minoxidil, so what I do is after my shower, I apply the topical minoxidil foam, wait for about 2 hours, and then apply the Xyon topical fin. For both, I only use half of what is recommended daily, and I only do it every other day, so overall getting 1/4th of what is recommended. so far Xyon has been giving stronger sides than Farmacia Parariti. I wonder if my topical minoxidil is some how disrupting the delivery particles from my previous day's application of Xyon fin. It may be that Xyon does have a better formulation but only if you don't use a topical minoxidil. But I also feel that this is something Hassan would have thought of already. I would still encourage people to try it. Every body is different and what may not work for me may work for you. I don't regret buying it, worth the money knowing that I 100% know what's the better step forward for me. But if you're lower on cash, maybe wait for other head to head comparisons with Parariti and Xyon. Would love to hear @Melvin- Moderator ask Hassan if the carriers in topical min could interfere with the delivery particles in his formulation, and if so they would consider adding min to their formula. I'll probably try FueClinic's topical dut after my current batch of Farmacia Parariti runs out. I'm also considering maybe trying out oral min with the xyon formula
  8. I also had a transplant with Diep that needs to be repaired, right now my number 1 pick is Shapiro
  9. No, for both I only use half what is instructed, and even then I only use that half dose every other day. So overall, only 1/4th of what is recommended. Anymore and I start to get side effects.
  10. I have been using it. It's early, but I feel that it gives the same sides in the same amounts as farma patricia (spelling is wrong). Need to continue testing
  11. Wow, which doctors specifically are doing this? It might be an indicator of their ethics. For context, Melvin took the extra step to protect forum members by banning people from posting others photos for surgeon comparisons to spare their feelings. I would hope a hair transplant surgeon has the same level of decency. But also, people who work in the medical profession have to take caution. They often hire a legal expert who specializes in a particular field. It's not hard to imagine that they just hired a legal professional that specializes in elective surgery, and gave them the same contract they give everyone else. The contract may not be an indicator or the doctors attitude towards pictures. Ideally, if the patient asks for their pictures to be taken down, they should do it and be deeply understanding of the request. Contact your first surgeon, ask them to take down the instagram post. If they don't do it, post what they said here. People need to know.
  12. From another thread, but just throught I would share. I too have been microneedling my donor scar, just in case. Would be interesting to see if I also get some hairs.
  13. I have a really wide scar from my first transplant, which other doctors suspect was due to poor technique. I've been microneedling that area, just in case microneedling would do something there. It would be interesting to see if something picks up.
  14. Wow, Mwamba is on an insane streak. From reading others procedures he seems extremely detailed like dr Konior
  15. Another thing is going to your countries medical board. But I think they best you can do for now is go to a lawyer who specializes in cosmetic surgery.
  16. This does sound difficult. If you had a hair surgery gone wrong, I would recommend going to another surgeon and having that person document the results. For example, number of grafts removed, number implanted, etc. I have no idea if anyone would actually do it, and if they did, there would be a fee. I don't know if this will actually help, but for whatever you're trying to do, documenting the evidence asap would be the first step. If they did something like lie about number of grafts implanted, that may give a better chance. Or if something they did generally medically wrong, like failing to close the wound, might be easier to prove. But for something like hair transplant technique, that would seem very difficult to legally go after, even if the results are disastrous. If you post your results on here, maybe there is something we can give you a better idea bout.
  17. I have a buddy whose considering a transplant, but to me he doesn't look like might need ones. He had a pretty solid mature hairline which I think looks good. But who I am to judge if he wants to get one and there's no downsides. The thing is he's not willing to take any medications to stop future loss. He's considering some doctors in Turkey to save money, and I suspect some of them will oblige with any hairline he wants regardless if it will be good for him long term. I would like to set him up with someone really ethical and wouldn't be afraid to be brutally honest. I definitely got that impression from Dr. Shapiro, but he's in high demand and it's a few months just to get a consult.
  18. Been seeing a ton of fantastic work out of this guy. Will be strongly considering in the the future
  19. Hair transplants in bigger cities/metro areas will always cost more. Konier still has a 1 year wait time even at his prices. I think people with that long of a wait time could increase their prices even more if they wanted to. It might be the better value to get a top person in a mid sized city and save a ton of money even when factoring flight and hotel.
  20. Would love to see @Melvin- Moderator ask this directly in his interviews. I would imagine someone like Hassan/Wong who are currently developing next gen techniques might be interested in developing a protocol around this. As long as there are no bad side effects, I would be willing to pay extra money during my procedure for the scar treatment. Even if it ends up doing nothing, it would be worth the financial risk.
  21. Thanks, this is very useful information. I'll bring it up. I did have a follow up with Diep, and he mentioned that the results turned out excellent, so it may very well have been a style choice that he intended. Either way, better be safe than sorry.
