  1. Oh, and that beard looks wicked. ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ‘
  2. (Ross, would it be a big request to post your updates from your original thread instead of making a new one every week? ๐Ÿ˜ณ๐Ÿ˜ณ I'm already following that thread and I'm sure I'll miss out on some of the new ones otherwise. Just saying, it's okay if you do not wish to. ๐Ÿ˜ณ) Everything looks normal to me, perhaps the recipient is a bit too scabby still, nothing extreme, just maybe you might want to put some conditioner on it now before gently tapping/massaging them off. Otherwise you're healing great, I'm impressed. ๐Ÿ˜ฎ
  3. Forget about her. At this level of hairloss you can not play Russian roulette with the odds of becoming a repair patient without actually having enough donor to be fixed. Go with the trusted clinics, pls.
  4. Hairline is looking stronger, more defined. Have you tried using concealer for your crown?
  5. There's a plumber I occasionally call to fix certain things around the house. He's a bald guy in his early 40s with 3 very obvious FUT scars. He seems to be very dejected all the time. I tried to make small talk with him but he didn't seem to want having a conversation. I often wonder what happened to him, how did he lose the fight and if he thinks those FUT scars are there to constantly remind him he got defeated. Was he butchered the first time and the ensuing attempts to repair him were ultimately futile, or he just lost the catch-up game against his ever increasing baldness/decreasing donor. For the sake of people who'll end up like him, for our own sake, I hope we'll have something better than relying on our donor supply. Hopefully you're right and the stigma associated with hair systems is breaking a little. I think it will still require you to be confident to wear one, but it won't be any braver than shaving it. However I'm not quite sure if it has already reached that pinnacle. Perhaps @DrTBarghouthi can chime in, as he's got a unique approach by combining a hair system + transplanted hairline in cases where the donor would not permit full coverage, yet the patient insists on having such. I believe he said it's because a transplanted hairline still looks much more natural (well, the ones Dr. Barghouthi does surely do) than the one provided by a hair system.
  6. Even if hair systems reach the pinnacle of naturalness, I reckon there will always be an associated stigma, just like with breast augmentation, etc. Whereas hair transplants are natural, it's your own hair.
  7. I suppose it's not a bad thing to quote something religious this time of year, so here you go guys, straight from the Bible: "And even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. So do not be afraid."
  8. Yes, Dr. Gho's HASCI is located in Amsterdam, I believe it was him then. Although based on what @Melvin-Moderator said, he never really multiplicated hair, he merely split multis in situ by using a really small punch. ๐Ÿ˜• Also he's charging something like 5 EUR per graft, don't think it's worth it.
  9. Thanks, this is good to know @DrTBarghouthi Would it be possible to create larger follicular units too, not just 2 single units in one opening?
  10. Merry Christmas @Everyone, happy belated HairNukkah to @Doron Harati and me, and lots of Happy New Hair again to Everyone. I'm so glad I joined this community, you guys are amazing people and keep the hope alive in me.
  11. Me too. I don't know whatever happened to HST, but it was a very interesting approach. According to Dr. Gho back in the days, only part of the entire follicle is needed to grow hair, thus partial extraction would lead to growth in both the donor area and the recipient. In theory you'd never run out of donor. Right now I'm hoping the Farjo Institute will come up with something. Also, I'm wondering if there's a way to group body hair into follicular units? In my understanding the major issue with body hair is that it consists of mostly singles. I wonder if there's already a way to create follicular units of 3-4 hairs for density where needed.
  12. Well, it's already so much better than the exit plan of shaving it all off, right Raymond? ๐Ÿ˜ Rooting for you. ๐Ÿ™
  13. It's best not to use any chemicals in the early stages. Minoxidil contains alcohol, it dries the skin and in general not helping it heal adequately. I asked my little grafts and they said, ugh, no, they want to abstain from alcohol for a whole month. I take oral minoxidil tho.
  14. Man, this made me feel sad. You're a good person for putting your family first considering long term implications and costs. But yes, ultimately you might be sacrificing your own happiness too. The 3 clinics you mentioned however are a lot more cheaper than the few clinics worth considering in the UK. And they are just as capable. Only concern is travelling, at least to India. I was able to get into Cyprus from the UK (2nd attempt though) for my surgery at HDC 2 weeks ago.
  15. Keeps getting better! ๐Ÿ‘ It looks quite good already and still far from the final result. ๐Ÿ˜ฎ
  16. Every single post of yours is either trying to debunk the donor dominance theory and replace it with recipient dominance, suggesting that's the end outcome for everyone eventually. Also you never miss a chance to discourage anyone from taking finasteride. So no hair transplants, no treatment. May I ask what's your purpose being here? Are you trying to make us all lose hope? ๐Ÿ˜•
  17. I agree, despite all the negative prognosis OP's hair is growing by leaps and bounds. Curious for more pics.
  18. My clinic specifically instructed me not to take hot showers. Don't get it why you insisted.
  19. No hot shower. Just lukewarm water and a very light one too.
  20. That's a good preventive regimen you have there. Your donor also appears to be very strong! Have a look at the recommended surgeons at the top of the website, they are putting out consistent results. Most are based in the US though, so HDC in Cyprus could be considered, they're a top clinic. @Doron Harati is the rep. Or if you don't mind travelling Eugenix would be another great choice.
