How about trying a topical antiandrogen then? Frankly, it's not as bad as it looks to you, I know it must hurt looking back how great it was years ago. But I honestly think you lost your natives only. Right now the most important thing is to stabilize things, not let those lateral humps disappear in my humble opinion.

Ikr. I was hoping to get high on some extra fin brain fog, while also growing additional hair. Oh, well.

No Bromide before a Transplant
UnbaldEagle replied to Rossybop's topic in Hair Restoration Questions and Answers
Don't worry about that, but Saifi mustn't know, I won't grass you up, relax, bro. -
@dobler and @jolly, while I'm empathetic to your situation, I'm really sorry you guys lost ground after your HTs, I don't think it could be applied as a general rule. The vast majority of HT patients will not lose their transplanted hair. I guess the only way to be 100% certain of this is to transplant thinning hair from the front to your back, but there will never be such a study. However there's no such thing as a universal safe zone unfortunately, Melvin posted a great video on this, everyone's donor area will thin out to some degree as we age. Then there's the problem of losing native hairs (your case imho). Or something like DUPA. Some of the transplanted hair will thin out over a very long period of time due to what I mentioned earlier, but most will be retained.

Good, I think you're an exemplary post-op instruction follower. You'd be every surgeon's favorite patient. 😍😂 -
No Bromide before a Transplant
UnbaldEagle replied to Rossybop's topic in Hair Restoration Questions and Answers
It's a really old drug and luckily it's hardly used anymore, there's new generation anticonvulsants instead. Okay, let's check the list then, @Rossybop. No bromide, that's for sure. How about fish, coffee? You said you're a social drinker but pubs are closed so no alcohol either I'm assuming. Any cheeky cigarettes? -
The good thing about focusing on the front and midscalp and leaving the crown empty if you have limited donor is that you can always use topik or slick your hair back and cover that area. Also, what @Gatsbysaid is true. I have an uncle who is slick bald in the crown and mid regions, but has a nearly intact hairline. As far as I know, he never had a hair transplant.

Combining Dutasteride twice week with Finasteride
UnbaldEagle replied to deitel130's topic in Hair Loss Drugs
I'm taking 1 mg fin every day and 0.5 mg dut every week. There's a study that combined they seemed to be working better. Long term safety, well, I guess it's riskier than taking finasteride alone. My understanding is that these drugs don't increase the probability of developing prostate cancer, however since they shrink the prostate you won't really know if you have it. Which is not a good thing as you'll miss the chance of early treatment. -
Hello @cnkp21, I was wondering if you got any favorable responses from any clinics?

UnbaldEagle replied to Hamit38's topic in Hair Restoration Questions and Answers
Holy shit. 😮 You had a James Dean on steroids kinda hair there. Really hope you get it back, hopefully treatment will help too. And Pekiner is a really good choice.- 37 replies

Finasterid 0.5 mg - tipps please?
UnbaldEagle replied to Hamit38's topic in Hair Restoration Questions and Answers
No difference. Unless it's manufactured by some really shady company. I heard people having the same success with Indian generics. You should be fine.- 37 replies

Finasterid 0.5 mg - tipps please?
UnbaldEagle replied to Hamit38's topic in Hair Restoration Questions and Answers
At 24 and with still a lot of hair left, I think you'll respond well to finasteride. Not quite sure how effective 0.5 mg is, but here's a graph with various doses, as you can see there's no a whole lot of difference. Out of curiosity, how do you take 0.5? Do you split a 1 mg Propecia in 2 or a 5 mg Proscar in 10? 😂- 37 replies

Dr. Pekiner 2012 grafts, 18 August 2020
UnbaldEagle replied to kiokbs's topic in Hair Transplant Reviews
Damn, that hairline looks fabulous at only 4 months! 😮 -
I was wondering about this one. If snorting a certain drug amplifies its effects as it is fully absorbed into the bloodstream, would it be a better way to take finasteride? You know, just one or two lines a day, to keep the hair transplant doctor away.

Looking for a conservative FUE to hairline...

Just saying, it's Raggu Reddy, the one you linked was done by Dr. Rahal In Ottawa. -
@PizzaWolf, don't you think it's too early to mention hair systems and gym memberships and shaving it all off? OP is 32 and his hair loss is not terrible. I agree with the rest, a topical antiandrogen would be a great solution. There's a thread on topical dutasteride where we discussed why side effects are not experienced.

I wonder how he can perform all these steps when having up to 8 surgeries a day. If he did all above mentioned on your surgery, that's great, happy for you, maybe you're the exception and not the rule. This is turning into Asmed apologetism here, so I'll stop, don't think it's fair to hijack OP's thread.

But the techs are doing the surgery, Erdogan is supervising them, I will reiterate that until it numbs your mind some more.
