  1. @finchythanks for the kind words and indeed the reach out ..firstly I’m no Doctor and I’d be inclined to side with Dr Das expert advice over mine regarding the actual procedure however what I will say is that in my own experience I think I’m above average lucky with regard to my skin tone and what appears to be above average  healing of scar tissue..both @Bandit90and @SLAwere blown away on seeing me in person with the lack of any evident scarring in the scalp .I’m a fan of buzzing the sides and back because where in recipient area growing it out helps create and illusion of density I feel in the donor area of high norwoods where homogenous depletion is being performed I believe a buzz conversely has the same effect ( an illusion of density ) ..if the scarring is pretty much undetectable to Joe Public on the street .I’m sure HT hair geeks about the place can make out ive had donor area extractions but they’re most likely thinking fair play to you mate ..average Joes would never make it out .

I know Dr Sethi is a fan of growing out Donor hair ..Im not sure if it’s an Indian culture thing or an honest attempt to better conceals donor area tiny dot scars .

Either way you’re suitable for surgery which is the good news ..the Donor area proper length will fall into place organically for you ..of that I’m sure .

    Hope this helps mate

    Amiele,

While it’s possible that the crown may be growing a little slower, keep in mind that you have a large balding area in the crown and the truth is, it takes a lot more grafts to re-create any kind of density. In fact, the crown is typically referred to as the “black hole” for grafts.  Essentially, this means that even when you experience full growth, Your scalp will still show through unless of course, you either have enough density which is hard to re-create when the crown has a large balding area or, you have longer hair that will essentially lay over top making it appear thicker.

In looking at the pictures, it looks like you’re experiencing growth probably just as fast and as thick as the hair transplanted in the hairline. It’s just that it’s easier to re-create a dense hairline than it is the crown. This is due to several factors including the size of the area that needs to be transplanted/covered. graft placement, hairstyle, length of hair, etc.

Hair grows differently in the crown than anywhere else on the scalo.  Crown hair grows in a natural whorl pattern which essentially is more circular in nature and as a result, doesn’t re-create the shingling affect like the hairline and frontal region of the scalp. The shingling affect helps create the illusion of density which simply doesn’t occur in the crown.

Hairstyle can also help make the crown appear thicker especially if you wear your hair longer.  For example, I wear my hair long and typically pulled up in a man bun.  To be honest, with this style you can’t even tell that I have any signs of thinning in the back whereas when I used to wear it short it still looked good but it was obviously and notably thinner than the rest of my hair.

    I hope this helps

This is DEFINITELY going in the hall of fame, 14k grafts via FUE is a record.

🥂 @Melvin- Moderator…I hope High NWs people reading my thread don’t start to think to themselves ,crikey I got to  have  around 12 to 15 k grafts to look like Zoomster ..this isn’t the case at all ..it’s sooo variable .

Even recently when I met up with @Bandit90and @SLA…the former bona fide NW7 and the latter a solid NW6…John has a total of just over 8K grafts so far and is covered back to front …though I know he will probably want to tweak it next year for added density ..either way 10K grafts and a full NW7 can call it a day ( Because Of head shape etc ) ..

Adam is currently at under 6k grafts and will in all likelyhood be good to go with one more procedure of around 3k grafts ..( narrow scalp ,high sides ,wavy hair all playing in his favour)..both of these random cases will each need around 50% less grafts than I did …this ain’t a game of whose got the most grafts..I just needed to keep the foot on the throttle to get the result i dreamed of

Back on cruise control now …thank God !! 🙏

  4. Hi Guys

Donor at 2 weeks post op..a total of 9K scalp have now been harvested .

Im homogenised up to my eyeballs..

My headstone will read “ here lies a homogenised version  of himself “ 😄

Im sweating more about the donor this time than the previous 2 x HT .perhaps understandably…I keep picking at a little scab on back of head thus it seeps a little blood ..I must stop

  5. @finchy..your donor looks similar to what mine was pre 3rd HT ..for what it’s worth I’m pretty sure Dr Bisanga and most others would of said I’m not suitable for a 3rd surgery  ( just like most did back in 2019 pre my first HT ) ..when @Melvin- Moderatorsays their is no best Doctor in the world only the best for your particular set of circumstances he is 100% correct .

In my opinion Dr Sethi is the No 1 in the world right now for your particular set of circumstances..way below average donor ,already transplanted into recipient yet fab beard that he can go to town on .

The above is my own humble opinion..others Im sure will chime in with other suggestions..

Feel free to DM me if you’ve any other questions

    Good luck

I really hope you get the best result. As a consumer people should be aware what can be achived with FUE surgery when things are done correctly by an ethical doctor. Your post will be an example for many hairloss sufferers and give them hope and confidence.

@Shaheer..thank you and yes that’s true ..there’s been a recent post here where a guy from my country had to undergo a combo of techniques including strip to receive a few thousand grafts…that shouldn’t have to  be the case nowadays  …with the right Doctors .

looks like brilliant work, really nice hairline 👏🏻👏🏻

@Big Rome..thanks mate …Dr Arika was slightly concerned that people might think that Dr Pradeeps tweaking of my Hairline and temples would indicate that He got it wrong the last time with HT 2 ..she felt some added density throughout scalp using a LOT less grafts was adequate this time  but I’m really happy to have gone the whole hog with a full hairline/temples enhancement along with the added density treatment ..particularly the side part transition area ..you can see it’s packed with grafts now ..

Oh stop it OP...  How dare you get even better looking?

Seriously, absolutely LOVE your choice of new hairline.  I think it will be a massive improvement in attractiveness.  While yes, before this you looked like you had a great head of hair, now you'll have a great head of hair + a very attractive hairline.

I love the aggressive temple points.  This thread should be a go to for people who have high level hair loss with a good donor.  Almost 15k grafts, and donor looks amazing all things considered!  Congrats, and happy growing!

Thanks so much …it’s been one hell of a journey thus far ..you had one hell of a result yourself mate

  9. Cheers 🥂 Melvin..yes it’s been homogeneously extracted from for sure but still doesn’t stop the “please god let the donor be ok when it recovers fully “…the beauty of having had a couple of prior surgeries is that you tend not to sweat the small stuff as much regarding early recovery period ..so I’m going to try my best not to panic about donor until we have a good idea around the 6 months mark ..

On Armens advice I’ve started on 1.25 mg daily oral minox since my return home …thinking seriously of switching to fin 1mg x 6 days instead of 7 and replacing the 7th day with 0.5 Dut ..

You hang around @MazAB for too long and you’ll end up jumping out of an aeroplane with no parachute if he suggests it’s good for a final result 😂

@Bandit90 will be in the Ivory Tower of HT results soon looking down on all of us with a Fat Cigar in his mouth soon baby !! ..his beard area extraction sites were brand new after a matter of hours ..unreal

  10. 7 Day headwash

Just took things nice and slow with a good spritz of saline all over followed by warm water slowly poured out of a jug over scalp , then gently finger tip massage baby shampoo into a lather ,pop on a shower cap and leave on for 20 mins ..and again pour warm water with a jug over scalp and rinse all off using fingers and tap dry with a towel .

Still a few crusts in the the widows peak and temples ..perfectly normal ..they will come out with tommorows wash ..lovely sense of freedom once the wash is done ..you can pretty much sleep as normal and get back to normal life again .i purchased a black Peaky blinders style cap for out and about which I think does the job quite stylishly of covering up for a couple of weeks should you wish to do so ..acceptable for casual ,semi formal and most formal wear where a baseball cap may not be .

Really happy how things are recovering to be honest

    talk soon
