  1. hi guys, i m really really thankful for your concern. Yes, the growth just din come. Everyone whom i have shown my photos agree with me and i m hardly the kind who expect too much.I just hope to have what 3150 grafts could give. I was nvr looking for a full head of hair but some extra coverage a 3150 graft transplant should have but alas it nvr came I remembered sitting on the chair, saying doc, this is one of the most impt things to see, help me set it right. I was so hopeful, so hopeful... but alas it nvr came and i went into a rut, maybe even worse than before i had the first HT cos it really hurts... i wonder if any of u can understand that
  2. hopefully sir Yup i m going for another procedure with Dr Ron Shapiro. supposed to be this week but one of my family members is in critical condition so i cannot leave at the moment.. No i did not post my final result, its really bad, however speaking abt it does not change anything so i will leave it as that
  3. Hi guys, i am not sure if this is a dead horse question, beaten up again and again but i just cant find a straight forward answer to this question Will the usage of waxes and clay contribute to hair loss? I use quite a fair bit as obviously i need more clay etc to spike up my hair before applying concealers all over I hear that DHT etc is the main culprit to MPB but i just want to have more opinions on whether hair products can cause hair loss...
  4. lol, thats a good one Hariri but u mirrored my thoughts ! I think concealers is the best invention at least for me. Without it, i cannot imagine how i can even feel comfortable stepping out from my home Pearsonboy, Hariri has already pointed out the diff in toppik and nanogen and yes, he is completely right. Get a toppik and its spray applicator. Finish it and top up with nano fibres. Thats the best way, in my humble opinion, similar to Hariri's
  5. I feel its only right i chipped in. I am supposed to ve my much awaited 2nd surgery in a week's time but i had some family issues at hand and i cannot leave.. It happened at the last minute and Janna was so kind as to move my deposit to another date though the clinic cannot find a replacement as i informed them too late. On that front, kudos to Shapiro Medical and Janna
  6. Hariri, i just really would like to move on and it was really not as satisfactory as i had hoped, and so far everyone who has seen have agreed so... In any case, let me think about it... Most imptly, i would like to concentrate on the 2nd op, and i am v confident Dr Shapiro will fix it. Its scheduled this june which is like a month away RC, with all due respect, i seriously doubt it was my physio. I am 35, i dun drink and smoke and exercise a ton and has no weird habits of any kind. Its easy to blame physio but it really aint the reason. No matter what, somehow i m v confident the 2nd time will work Confidence is v impt my friend, how else to last 1 whole year waiting for new babies to sprout out Anyway hows ur experience with propecia?
  7. Hey RC! long time no see and thanks for responding. U know the reason dude, it will just create a lot of unnecessary backlash which i m not interested in at all. However, everyone whom i show my photos to ALL agreed that my first surgery was a failure. Its ok, shit happens and we move on, just that this 'shit' really means the world to me and it failed....... u can imagine how disappointed and upset i was and still am... Anyway to cut things short, i am embarking on this route to try out propecia after a v long internal struggle. I will also be going for 2nd surgery under Dr Ron Shapiro. Janna has been nothing but totally professional and i trust my 2nd surgery will finally set it right
  8. hi guys, i know this topic has prob been discussed over and over again but i simply cannot find a thread that encompasses all my questions so i thought of posting a new thread. Here goes 1) With all the big hoo ha abt Propecia and the lawsuit, what exactly are the main side effects are we talking about? Decrease in libido and/ or less than ideal erection? The latter can probably be fixed by cialis and viagra. I know there are tons of other side effects but i assume these are the main ones? 2) I am planning to start consuming probably once in 3 days and observe myself for any anomalies before increasing the dosage. Typically, it takes half a year to see any form of result? Also, does consuming less than the required dosage mean that its useless? thanks guys! wb280
  9. thats damn good results for half a yr and he still has a few waves of maturing and thickening!
  10. Hi Hariri, its over the water, under the bridge, whatever it is, i have decided that a 2nd pass is necessary and i have decided to travel to either the states or Canada to do it... Its a tough choice choosing which doc...
  11. Hi guys i had 3150 via FUT and probably locked in for a second session. Hoping to get 2500 via FUE... Anyway my question is, assuming the average hair loss sufferer, that he will progress to a NW4 at age 50, how many grafts are available for extraction? Can we assume any ball park figure? Just curious...
  12. Hi Sean bro! Good good! Hows your healing coming along? I can take 2 weeks off max max, do u think the hair can grow enough at least to cover up the fact that i have done surgery? Dr Rahal has seen my pics and he is confident of getting 2500 grafts if not 3000, but i think 2500 is more realistic which i m elated already. I think u r one of his proudest cases of 3k FUE! So how bro? Whats your take if u were me?
  13. damn, thats really good results man...
  14. Yah i know but i am still deciding... THUT, i tried to email u but your current email add seems to be not working, can u pm me another email address in which i can reach u? Ok so i guess SMG needs to shave as well... Any other docs who do not require?
  15. Yup i think True and Dorin offers FUE.. no? OMG, can someone verify that as well? Dude, i know Rahal's good and with all due respect to all the other good docs, Rahal is still my no. 1 choice but to shave the recipient.. i dunno man... i goto hear of all the docs who do not before i make my decision Happy growing my friend!
  16. oops typo! yes i dun mind shaving the donor area Isnt SMG same as Shapiro? Correct me if i am wrong.. I see that u have gone to Rahal and i have talked to Sean and have heard of nothing but raving reviews but Matt told me shaving the recipient is necessary... so i am still a bit undecided... i would like to consider all the surgeons before i make my decision... If i m not wrong, i think Dorin and True, and SMG do not require shaving... Can anyone shed some light? thanks!
  17. Just for the record, i do not mind shaving the entire head if i really choose Rahal or Feller in the end. I think my hair grows fairly fast so it prob wont take long to grow a couple cm to cover up nicely. However, i would defn still prefer a surgeon who does not need to shave the recipient part. I am entirely ok with shaving the recipient...
  18. Hi guys, i m back again!!! for the 3rd time!!! I was just so busy with work and trying to forget my hair loss problems but i guess its futile.. I have already decided to take a shot at FUE for my 2nd surgery. I studied the pros and cons very thoroughly and it boils down to post op in the end. I just cannot chair meetings with long rear hair covering my scar and shaved in front. Been there done that. It screwed up my business big time and i cannot afford that again. Guys, i need your help. I know docs like Rahal and Feller requires shaving of the recipient.. no way out, however, can anyone help me pinpoint surgeons who do not? I am aware that True and Dorin do not require shaving. Any others? How abt Shapiro medical? Doc Cam Simmons? thanks so much for the help guys!!! Marcus
  19. when u mentioned save, u meant cash? Ok that aside, i just worry my hair loss is too aggressive and might outrun my donor supply Anyway thanks for the kind words
  20. Dude, u r one lucky ass. All the anxiety, black pillows, messed up washroom, u say it, i had it U r already on the shore and i am still swimming, hoping to make it for the land one day Wish me luck!
  21. Hi NHP, yup thats exactly wat i meant I just like the nanofibres much much more than toppik.
  22. Yup i totally agree with Sean. The pump attachment is really effective, both in decorating the hairline and reducing wastage. I normally top up the toppik bottle by emptying the nanogen bottle in it. Agree that i will create a mess but i just prefer using nano fibres with the toppik pump attachment I have been using concealers for 10 yrs and i can nvr attain the natural look without using the pump attachment
  23. Hi THUP, i just watched the video posted on the 1000ish FUE on the crown. Its impressive! My hair grows out pretty fast, so prob 2 weeks is prob all i need ( or so i hope! ) With your extensive experience, does shock loss happens for most of the patients? As in the recipient area. The good docs do not need to shave that recipient right? Does the doc perform the entire FUE himself or with helpers? Just wanted to get the whole picture right! thanks!
