I remember seeing your previous disaster transplant thread -- it was absolutely awful how you were treated. It's good to see you still giving hair transplants a go and you went to a great clinic. Best of luck mate -- you deserve it especially after all the hardship you went through. We're all rooting for you!!

Thank you. Hoping for the best outcome.

  2. Hi everyone, just want to share my experience from my repair procedure I had with Eugenix under Dr.Pradeep Sethi. I had my surgery done on 19th of May 2022. The package which I took was under Dr.Pradeep which I believe is the their top range of package. The planning, consultation and incision was done by Dr.Pradeep. As some of you guys might know I had horrible experience before on my past 2 surgeries, the worst one where I was harassed, blackmailed etc. If you search under my past post you would be able to see that. Anyway I want to focus on how my current progress and perhaps some of you can also advise how it is now. Initially I was quoted 3000 -3200 grafts when I had a video consultation, however upon checking my donor and my recipients my final grafts was 2776. 1776 was from scalp and another 1000 from beard. My overall experience with Eugenix has been great so far. Travelling to India wasn't a problem as I have been there couple of times. Here is some of the pictures up to 2 months of the surgery done.

Thanks for the comments/help.t about the scar - mine is long (ear to ear) and thin--difficult to see now--which made me think the doctor did a great job on the cutting and stitching, but which could mean a "fool you into thinking it was more than it was" situation to quote @BeHappy. One other note I should make clear: the "Immediate post HT in dr office" photo was taken by me, selfie style, not the official doctors photo. So, dr is off the hook there. Although I asked dr for original but they wouldn't release to me. So, maybe not off the hook.

Notes from my 1 year post-op check in: Doctor basically said these things:

    • The result is definitely better than before. He said I basically had no hair on the temples and now I do, so it's better
    • To my question of "this doesn't seem like 2500 grafts", he reiterated that he did 2.5 grafts even pulling out the chart and reading 2, 531 grafts
    • To my question of "you said 2500 would do the trick, you did 2500 it didn't provide full coverage, did I have non-typical results" he responded with a generic "results vary person to person, hair type to hair type" type of answer
    • To my comment of "seems weird that there's very little coverage on the right side of my head", he examined my head more, drew an oval about the size of two dimes laid side by side and said yes, "that spot didn't seem to take", he said that could be for various reasons but he couldn't tell me what exactly happened there.
    • He said I probably want thicker coverage so we should do a second procedure, he would comp me 200 grafts for the oval where the procedure didn't stick and he didn't know what happened.

That was basically it. The doctor was Dr. Charles from Boca. You guys have been helpful here so far, so thanks for that. Any other thought on the subject would be helpful. And a recommendation for a different doctor that can do the 2nd "fix up" procedure would also be appreciated.

p.s. one other comment that the dr mentioned when talking about procedure #2 - I asked FUE vs. FUT for procedure #2 and he basically said FUE makes completely no sense as a second procedure if you have previously done FUT. Because you already have the scar. I never thought about that before doing #1 and have never seen discussed here. But something that seems like an extremely important piece of info to contemplate before you go into your first procedure.

Honestly this is definitely not 2500 grafts. 2500 grafts will take you easily around 8 hours if it is done in 1 day. TBH this look more like below 1000 grafts.

From your experiences, I feel you had the same experiences as what I had. Just a honest opinion, never go back to the same doctor, try get the repair from a reputable clinic. Since you are in US, maybe you want to consult a legal point of view and get the refund. Good luck!

    Thanks @Melvin- Moderator

    Really appreciate it..
I wasn't going to comment but I feel I MUST..

When someone comments "pluggy Hairline" "sparse " "lower end of the results " might need a second transplant" on a 11 month results, its not constructive criticism in my eyes. So I reported it.
Even when politely told to refrain ..it became a ego issue and an intellectual battle..

I am sure I will get a very "Intellectual" reply here telling me to take criticism in a positive way etc..because this guy  needs to have the last word..

I am a perfectionist but still i am extremely happy with my results and I got very close to what i wanted to achieve..

And we must not forget.."Hair transplant is the Illusion of Density .!!! "

I am really greatful to this forum and the immense knowledge and support i continue to get here..

I am here to pay it forward by sharing my experience ..Not spread negativity

Will continue to post my journey and help and guide whoever DMs me as well..

    Before i forget..

    I have come a loong way..🙂

Hello, everyone. Today I'm updating at 155(5months) days mark. I'm bit confused about the result. Right side looks quite satisfactory. But I'm bit worried about the left side. It looks like the growth is not even.  One side is growing faster than another side. On the left side, thickness is a definite concern for me.

First 3 pictures were taken at 120 days mark. Next 5 pictures were taken at 155 days mark. I am quite confused at this stage. I'm ready to hear from all of you about this progress so far. And I will appreciate your suggestions on making the hair growth even.

@Shakib from your last picture; I guess your middle hair is your native hair? And did you get your hairline lowered?

    Hello,

I reside in Singapore. I had been researching about hair transplantation for a long time. I read a lot about it, talked with various people and reviewed different clinics and results.

My friend was also with me in this research. We gradually came across Eugenix.

My friend was the one who had a full consult first and later decided to go for the transplantation. I wanted to see how it goes for him first.

After he started to get substantial results, I also decided to opt for the procedure. I went in to the Mumbai clinic for the consultation. There it was decided that I would require a frontal zone restoration.
I met the doctors and was quite okay with their evaluation. I had already seen my friend's result so I was sure of going in for the procedure.

I have just got done 3021 grafts for my procedure in the frontal zone. They created a new hairline for me. The surgery itself was not painful much apart from the anesthesia.

I have completed 5 months after my procedure. As you can see that the growth is very good on my scalp and I am very happy with the progress.
The hair is coming very well. My growth has been exceptionally good.

Hi Watterot, - thanks for your response. I booked my HT in January before these worrying results started arising and I am now considering cancelling but I just wanted to get the thoughts of other patients first. I wonder what has happened for the clinic to drop its standards by so much?

Hi @Liverpool123  you can see others post first before you consider this doctor. Perhaps check my post and what I went through with this doctor and how was my results.

No one is trying to influence your decision and your decision should be only yours. However we only hope you make a wise one as it not only involves money but the trauma, the hope of finally getting the results you desire. Good luck!

I don't doubt anything you've said. Frankly, I'm surprised how quick the doctor was to suggest that they fell short of grafts. At the minimum it mean poor planning. But of course in my case it wasn't a shortage of grafts since 1100 were planted in the crown subsequently.

I have consulted with a few doctors and they are shocked with the approached followed by Dr. Bhatti as well. Fortunately, my donor area has healed well and should be able to yield 3000 graft comfortably. The lockdown over the last few months has meant I haven't had to deal with the social impact of this procedure.

I saw your thread. Sorry you had to go through this twice. Happy to connect and share my plan going forward. Maybe this forum needs a dedicated "Dr. Bhatti Victim Support Group".

Thanks man. Definitely it would be great to connect with you and know your plan

We have never kept surgeons just because they pay us, in fact during the pandemic are sponsorships stopped by half. We kept recommending those surgeons, despite not getting sponsorships because we believe in their work. We take pride in our recommendations and truly want to recommend the very best surgeons. We hear the concerns loud and clear.

Then I think you should really start putting a ratting on all the doctors here. I know some of the doctors are doing really good job and it’s not fair for them when you have one doctor or any other doctor who has been delivering bad results and with the way the clinic behave with their patient.

This would help future patients who come here to seek for guidances before selecting the doctor.

Dr bhatti should take responsibility for this and as I have mentioned before he should go back to his board room n rethink on his technique work n procedures .. international patients n foreigners pay a hefty sum to get their hair transplant done from bhatti n all we get in return is poor results, poor post surgery service, blackmailing by their reps. Poor results due to doctor's negligence is totally unacceptable. Bhatti needs to improve his work as he is neither offering refund nor giving free repairs.. n on top of that there is no guarantee that after second surgery you'll get the desired results. If you mess in the first surgery  it screws your chances of getting a good result in a second surgery

No mate, he would not. As per my experience dealing with this doctor and from all other post from his patient you can see majority of his recent patients having failed results. Perhaps 7/10 times.
If you compare the charges he charge and the results he deliver there is so many other options in India who can deliver better results than his, even those clinics in Turkey where they do few surgeries in a day, with all tech team performing most of surgeries delivers better results than Dr.Bhatti.

And for international patients, he doesn’t really care much as he know some of them would not bother coming back for repair and if they comes back he will charge them further.

I agree. The forum is quickly becoming a graveyard of Dr. Bhatti victims. It's only a matter of time that people stop trusting this website itself and good surgeons stop being associated with it. Which is a terrible outcome since there are some really good and ethical doctors recommended here.

This is a strange situation for the moderators. After all they get paid from the clinic and it is hard to turn away a source of income. Just like the forum goes through a process of recommending a doctor, there needs to be a thread for removing a recommendation and relying on feedback. Maybe the feedback / voting can be limited to members who have been here for at least a year or a certain number of posts to prevent new accounts being created. But this malaise needs to be stopped now.

As what you said, I agree almost all the clinics pay to stay on this forum under recommended list of surgeons. That is completely fine, as most of the blogs works that way. However there’s a limit until when a doctor with poor results and poor ethic can stay on as recommended doctors.
With more and more patient comes out with horrible results, plus bullying raps and poor follow up service from doctor would only warn future patients if they are going to consider Dr.Bhatti.

Hello everyone. In this post I am going to give  an overview about my prosedure which was on January 9th,2020. I have been waiting for that day for a long period of time. Before giving an idea about my prosedure I would like to describe why I selected doctor Tejinder bhatti. First of all, Dr. Bhatti's huge experience in this field. Secondly, I found no secrecy in the cost of ht procedure. I tried to contact with other ht clinic in India. But they were somehow trying to avoid that, was was asking my phone number so that they can call me and let me know. Thirdly, Dr bhatti has settled darling buds clinic in Chandigarh. This clinic is built with all the modern equipments which are required.Compared to other cities in India Chandigarh is  very relaxing. Post operation is more smooth.

The time when I book my procedure in August 2019, I contacted with Shera Who is  the patient advisor of Dr.bhatti . He has been absolutely helpful  from booking the procedure, then sending the confirmation message. And also all the hotel arrangements. I am staying at the first hotel. Which is quite close to the near market, airport and also to the clinic

    Pre op- 8th January 2019

On 8th January, I had my consultation with doctor bhatti. Dr told me that he will be recreating the hairline, and will address frontal part only.He draw the hairlineband I was okay with that. Clinic manager Shalini gave the medicines which I took in the dinner.

    Operation day - 9th January 2019

Driver picked me up at 7 o'clock from the hotel. My procedure is started approximately at 8:15. The process itself was absolutely smooth. The time when the anaesthesia was injecting, I felt pain apart from that there wasn't any pain I felt. My procedure was completed at 3:00 p.m. Total 2243 grafts were planted. They also provided lunch. What I liked was everyone basically knows what they are supposed to do. They knows their role properly. reason why I am not writing much about the procedure day because for me it was a very smooth experience. The next day driver took me the clinic again to change the dressing. And medicines and instructions were provided on that day. Today I went to the clinic again to change the dressing again.

    Single Graft- 343

    Double grafts- 1013

    Triple grafts - 887

    Any thoughts ???

@Shakib If you notice on your last picture here, there is a space on your mid left side where no grafts being planted. Also, on right side, some space is being left out, the gap of grafts being planted is big. Any reason why?

  13. 3 minutes ago, JayLDD said:

You're right, I think its blatantly obvious they shouldn't be recommended and those experienced can see that. Its a bad look for any other surgeons recommended here or those that would consider looking to be recommended. Everyone has preferences and there are surgeons on this forum that are more conservative and some more aggressive, this however is just consistently subpar work.

For some reason they are still recommending him here. It defeats the purpose where future patients could come here and get an idea of consulting a doctor with positive tract record and how the doctors deliver the results. Also, when you tell the patient rep, that you would lodge a report for criminal case, they can even suggest you its not a good idea, because in India it is known that everyone can get away by paying money to the authorities.

If the clinic practice such mindset, it only shows what kind of level of professionalism they practice in their work and surgery. I feel sad for other doctors in India who really go all out to help their patients, because Darling buds is setting the standard so so low for someone to consider India as hair transplant destination.

    Hi all,

Will keep this as short as possible since I find long posts hard to digest myself. I have my HT with Dr. Bhatti (Darling Buds) on 6th December 2019. He had transplanted approx 3500 grafts, with 2400 at the hairline and front. And subsequently 1100 in the crown after a lunch break. I had met Dr. Bhatti a year prior to the op and while I had got the recommendation from this forum, I did not go through many of the disastrous results his patients have been putting up on this forum.

I am now 6 months post op and the results have been extremely underwhelming. My biggest concern however as been from day Day 1, that the clinic decided to leave a spot bare at the midscalp.

I noticed something was wrong right after the surgery and asked the doctor in my discussion with him the day after. The conversation went as follows:

Me - I noticed a large spot has been left bare

    (Dr. Bhatti observes)

Dr. Bhatti - We fell short of grafts

Me - How can that be possible. After leaving this area bare, 1100 grafts were placed in the crown!

(Dr. Bhatti give it another look)

Dr. Bhatti - Don't worry, if you take Finasteride it will grow there

(SPOILER ALERT - It did not)

Now every subsequent month I wrote to the doctor with pictures to show that the area obviously did not have any growth. His response was to no worry and just keep on taking Finasteride. Which is of course did.

After six months (show in the subsequent two pictures), when the area where no grafts were planted looked extremely disconnected from the rest, I asked him again why the clinic had decided to leave the area bare? His response again was that it was 'DUE TO A SHORTAGE OF GRAFTS' and that he will check his records. I had to remind him once again that this was not possible! Since hair was planted in the crown after leaving that area empty!

Now that I have gone through many HT experiences on this forum and others, this has to be the first time I'm seeing a doctor falling short of grafts (even though in my case it wasn't really him falling short? And the experience of dealing with Dr. Bhatti post HT is an absolute nightmare.

Has anyone here had a experience where the doctor leaves an area bare and moves to the crown? And then claim he fell short of graft? The only explanations I can think of:

    1. Incompetence - The clinic simply forgot to plant the grafts in the area and moved on the crown (with the 30 min lunch break in the middle!). This would explain why Dr. Bhatti insists that he fell short of grafts. After all, that could be the only logical reason why a clinic would do something this silly. Of course, on reminding Dr. Bhatti that he could not have fallen short of grafts due to the subsequent crown HT, he simply says he needs to check his records

    2. Malice - Leaving the area bare means the patient would need come back for a follow up procedure. This is a risky strategy since it assumes that the HT is successful otherwise. Which was not the case with me. I'm willing to accept that this was simply a case of negligence and incompetence from Dr. Bhatti and the clinic. After all, why attribute to malice that which can be adequately explained by incompetence.

I have failed to get a clear and honest answer from Dr. Bhatti regarding this for six months now. He is asking me to come visit him. With the current COVID situation in India worsening that would obviously not be possible at the moment. In any case, I do believe he owes me an explaination to why the area was left bare and why he keeps insisting that he fell short of grafts when he clearly did not. The way the HT was conducted meant it was meant to be a failure from day 1. I am now reaching out to other doctors to get their perspective.

Honestly, I see a procedure where it's being done with poor planning, laziness and untrained tech team. I know it might sound harsh to you but this is what I see.

First, how could he forgot the space to implant the graft, and continue to crown area? Was he trying to finish up the surgery quickly?

Second, how can he says that he ran out of graft when he is going to do the crown with another 1100 grafts? What logic is that?

Third, his answer that if you take finestride and the fair will grow is unacceptable answer for a doctor! If your hair could grow with finestride alone, why do you have to do the surgery?

And on the placement of grafts, for 3500 that looks really bad. I'm a patient of Dr Bhatti and I know how he space up the graft placement and when you argue with him on this his patient rep would show you some old videos of his case where the density was there.. What they don't do is take the responsibility.

I would suggest you to consult with some better surgeon who will stand by their patient side. Good luck!

  15. 9 minutes ago, JayLDD said:

Over years and years and probably seeing over a hundred of his results, I have felt that Bhatti's results fell below the standards of I suspect virtually every other surgeon recommended by this forum. I see more bad results than good from his clinic and even the best results fall below the average of top clinics. Anyone with a discerning eye and appreciation of what other clinics achieve can see from post-ops that the density he places at falls below acceptable standards. I don't say this lightly, but I am 100% sure that if I trained for less than a month I could produce equivalent results. It appears to me nothing but laziness and an lack of desire to push themselves to high standards that so many clinics consistently deliver.

Look at the placement in case like this. Its just totally unacceptable for any clinic in 2020. Poor growth is one thing, amateurish placement and consistently below-par density is enough to show this clinic shouldn't be recommended.

Considering the other complaints of clinic ethics and blackmail from their employee, I seriously do not believe they should be recommended on this forum. A "representative" acting in this way would result in the company getting sued if this occurred in the United States, its not good enough to merely say they have severed ties. The fact that in a situation where a clinic representative acts criminally towards a patient and subsequently refuses to refund is a hundred nails in the coffin.

I hope others can acknowledge this too.

@JayLDD  I 100% agree with you. If you look at this forum, Dr.Bhatti has more bad results from his procedure than any other recommended doctor on this forum. Speaking from my results and experiences dealing with this doctor, typically he shows lack of interest in his post op follow up, and when things don't go right, he would not take the blame or try to put the blame on the patient. If you look at his patient rep Shera reply on my first post here, he was trying to tell that I wasn't a right candidate for HT and I was trying to slander the image of this lousy doctor.

And the behaviour of his clinic, where they would try to shut you down when you speak against them just show what kind of ethic do this clinic practice. When they got caught, his reply was he did not know what his patient rep did just like when you ask him what went wrong on his procedure, he would only say he don't know and he can't answer. This shows what kind of doctor is Tejinder Bhatti.

Looking at the link below you can see how lightly he takes his job. His poor planning, his answers seems to be uninterested in replying to the patient. And how could he say that taking finestride will grow the hair!!!!??? LMAO this is probably the worst answer I have heard from a so called top surgeon.

Just as how you are amazed, I'm still amazed how this doctor is a recommended doctor here on this forum. When you see the reply from their patient rep, they often talk how great human he is, how their entire neighbourhood  had surgery with him etc and choose to ignore the real serious problem. The longer he is the recommended doctor here, the more patients will get results like this.

Since so much noise has been generated here regarding the administration of general anesthesia during an HT procedure, here are some relevant details, which really should put this issue to bed...for good!

    1. General anesthesia is never given for a procedure as lengthy as a hair transplant procedure since it adds to the risks. The risk in a hair transplant procedure has to be minimal.
    2. General anesthesia is not given on full stomach.  Our Patients are advised to take milk with or without one sandwich at 6.30 AM and this has been in our pre-op instructions since ages.
    3. After the harvesting is over, the final hairline is drawn by Dr Bhatti which the patient confirms before Dr Bhatti makes the slit. The Patient is at times drowsy but awake enough to make out what's happening around him
    4. Once the local anesthesia is given before the slits are made, the patient gets a coffee break where a sandwich is served. This is not possible after general anesthesia
    5. Many of our Patients drive back home themselves the same day.
    6. Our anesthetist Dr K. Johar is in attendance throughout the procedure and is monitoring the patient.
    7. Sedation in form of Injection Midazolam 1 mg intravenous is routine but this does not put most most people to sleep- only enough for lessening anxiety for the initial 30 mins of the procedure.
Yes this is enough for some patients to go off to sleep.
    8. No hospital/medical center in India under the Clinical Establishment Act can engage in surgical procedures without an ICU in the premise with ventilatory support. It is now against the law to do surgery without this requirement and hair transplant is considered a surgical procedure. And hence an anesthetist has to be employed full time.

We do only one procedure a day in Darling Buds since it is almost impossible for one surgeon to do 2 cases in a day. Moreover Dr Bhatti does only hair transplant and 100% FUE hair transplants at that.
Our Clinic has been a One Patient-One Doctor-One Center destination since the past 12 years.
Any patient wanting to verify how much of the procedure was done by Dr Bhatti only has to ask for the procedure to be recorded on camera in the first 30 mins when he may feel sedated.

    Best regards,
    California

@California  I don't know if you understand what I told you via phone, or even what I'm trying to explain here, or what another patient of Dr.Bhatti said in his post above. What you shared above is the normal practice which most clinic share during consultation to their patients. The whole issue here, some of the patients had different experiences during their hair transplant with Dr.Bhatti.

#2. I was given a medicine to take before the surgery night. Few tablets, according to the clinic this would help me during the surgery next day and I was told not to have anything for meal as there would be a break in between. Now, there was no any break in between the surgery at all.

#3. After I received an intravenous dose, I wasn't aware of what my surrounding, who was there during procedure, or who was actually doing the whole procedure. Nothing.

#4. Lol, I don't even remember if I had local anaesthesia. Like many other HT surgery, there would a break, I did not had any break in between or know when the slits are made.

#7. Why did not Dr.Bhatti informed me before procedure if I would be injected with Midazolam 1mg if he did? In his language he called this an antibiotic? If this was needed, and it is part of his practice, WHY DID HE NOT INFORM UPFRONT? Don't you as a doctor who going to perform a surgery on you, he should inform you upfront and ask if you are ok with it? Also, using Midazolam is not something you have to. Most of other doctors don't use it, I was never given this when I had my first surgery, which is why I clearly remember the whole surgery.

Uses. Midazolam is used before surgery or a procedure. It helps to cause drowsiness, decrease anxiety, and to decrease your memory of the surgery or procedure. This medication may also be used to help with anesthesia or to sedate people who need a tube or machine to help with breathing.

Now my point on the statement below you made from your previous post. I don't know which part of my explanation that you are confused or don't want to understand. I mention clearly, I don't want to discuss the whole issue on that post, whether that person owe $200 to Bhatti, or how Dr.Bhatti openly share the patient details on this forum until it got deleted. My intend was to show you how the patient was given 'an antibiotic' in Dr. Bhatti language for Midazolam and I can clearly say this is without our consent.

Really?! Did you read through this entire thread (that you have posted here?). All the ranting about $200 or so being charged for a hotel stay? NO pictures to show anything! You really find this whole thing credible? I don't.

My point is simple, why did not Dr.Bhatti inform before giving Midazolam or tell that there is possibility that I would be asleep during surgery. Why did his team have to mention its an antibiotic? Why wasn't the clinic honest and clear in communicating?

Hi Melvin, I don’t feel there should be an issue with Badresults replying on my comments...this is building a picture for the onlookers...I made the mistake by going back to Bhakti twice and Badhair just made one mistake, of going to Bhakti once. But if he went, he more than likely would have had a 2nd failed transplant. The reason I am annoyed is 2nd transplant, I didn’t even go through Shera, it was direct through Bhatti, I spoke with Bhatti and explained exactly what my worries were and what I wanted, to which I was assured the result would be as expected...but it was all just lies to get money. I personally don’t even want my money back, as Melvin can vouch for(WhatsApp messages I have sent to him) which show all I want to do is make others aware, Bhatti will promise you the world and delivers shocking results

Just curious, like what sunny asked would it be an issue if I comment on this post?
