  1. 6 month update

    Dear members

I hope everyone is well and safe.

Today, I have completed my 6 months since I got my HT from Eugenix on Dec 21-22, 2019 in New Delhi, India. It seems like a dream. My trip from Ireland, connecting flights, Million people, Experience during surgery and flying back within 4-5 days. Waiting game is still on and I hope the results will be as expected.

I would like to start with a positive note and would like to share my pictures before the surgery. This reminds me from where I started and I can only say that it was a great decision to get the HT done.

    My progress so far:

Overall growth- This has improved in terms of hair has grown longer giving an illusion of density. Month 6 has been an improvement from months 4 & 5 as per the pictures.

    Mid frontal:

Need some improvement in terms of density. Hopefully next 3 months will help.

    Right temple:

I am happy how this has turned out

    Left temple:

Definitely some improvement but still needs some density

    Back and sides:

Buzz cut makes the surgery visible. I believe if I let the hair grow, it will be better. However, keeping back and sides short makes the top looks fuller.

    Daily routine:

I have been very strict with my diet, exercise and this has not changed as per my previous post. Also massaging Avacado oil before sleeping and using Revita shampoo.

Thanks to Eugenix and the team for always replying to my queries and special thanks to Dr Sethi for always being there when I needed.

Also, a big shout out to all the members who have immensely supported so far and all the honest suggestions/advice so far.

Please let me know what you think and if in your opinion the growth will or may improve in the coming months.

    Regards

Today is technically 5 months, so I’m going to post a quick update. Will do a full featured report with different lighting, wet hair, etc. at month 6.

Hairline has started to fill in and thicken up. I am seeing new shoots each week. Density behind the hairline is getting better too. I would say the result is starting to hit its stride. In certain lighting conditions, like bathrooms and down lights, it’s fairly thin looking, but it’s getting better all the time. I feel it’s looking less and less like I’ve had a transplant.

Donor is mind blowing. Truly impeccable work. Dr Arika said she went 1700 grafts before she had a transacted follicle. The final result speaks to that. I can barely tell any density loss in the back.

    Current Routine:

    Finasteride 1mg x 1

    Dutasteride .5mg 1/ week

    Biotin 10,000 daily

    Multivitamin daily

Minoxidil - crown only - 2x per day.

Pictures taken with no styling products or concealers, but I did take the dryer to the front to give it a standup look.

    Happy growing, gents!

I’m doing well, doing well. Just have been super busy at work the past few days and could not update this thread. I will post the 7 day update within the next 2 days. Just a little worried about the right side of the donor and some density behind the left fronto temporal area but should mostly not be an issue.

I saw your update as well and looking at Fluffhead’s amazing last month, I think your month should be sometime soon.

Sure mate. Take your time and look forward to your update.

Yes, time is flying. 6 months on June 22nd👍

    Speechless 😶

Its indeed a great result but I cannot compare it with mine. I am not on any medication and I believe it takes full 12 months to know if the surgery was a success. I am hopeful that it will be👍

Also my suggestion to anyone out there is to keep all the possibilities in mind. Dont get carried away by videos of amazing transformation in 4-5 months as this one. The best results become the face of marketing and one may start expecting moon and stars watching such videos.

I am a prime example of what kind of expectations to set and atleast you will not get disheartened.  It takes time and longer than 12 months in some cases.

It would be a great idea for clinics to create a video with someone who is a slow grower. I do not believe that only 5% fall in this category and specially if someone is not taking medication.

However, One thing I can confirm is that Eugenix is always there when I need them and this is very very important. Dr Sethi is always there whenever I have panicked or had any questions about my growth.

Thanks for following my progress and Stay safe !!

6 month update will be posted on 22-23 June :)

    Hi,

Attached below are photos of my third month results so far very thin in the front and crown. I feel like the that was transplanted in the crown area hasn't started growing yet which still has me worried but from what i heard and researched the crown is supposed to be the slowest to grow and I'm still in the early months, the hair on the hairline is growing but very slowly. From the picture month two and three look pretty simlar. The hair on the temples is growing but needs to mature still as you can still see the alopecia. Hopefully the hair growth starts to speed up now. What do you guys think about PRP treatments I'm debating if i should do them. Take a look and let me know what you guys think.

    Thanks

Hey mate. Am I right that you are not on any meds? Well if yes , you and me have a very similar growth. Check out my progress. I am on zero meds as well. It looks ok to me as I was the same.

LFHT remember that at the end of the day it is the tortoise not the 'hair' (pardun the pun) that wins the race. I have gone through your thread again from the start. I don't believe for a minute that your surgery was carried out any differently to any other patient from Eugenix (ie, slits being filled within three days, grafts being made into singles, etc). You have to remind yourself that you have not been on any finasteride (or minoxidil) which nearly all of their patients take (if they can tolerate it). It's so easy for me to say, but you really want to wait until the 9-12 month mark to make any real assessment on your results (and even then their is still room for improvement). Also one of the great things about Eugenix that ticks my box is their after care. You are in the best hands with Dr Pradeep and Dr Arika. They have performed thousands of hair transplants and the knowledge that you are in the 5% category should bring you some comfort in the waiting game of a hair transplant with ZERO medication. I look forward to following your results in the coming months to come. Stay strong!

Thanks Gatsby.  Yes, as I am a slow grower, I am pretty sure that I can only know at month 12, if the transplant is a success for me.

Would be nice to see early growth though.

The lockdown has saved me somehow by not going to work with patchy head or I would have been too conscious about what colleagues might think 😃 This has let me come to the terms that I am ok to wait longer. In my case another 6 months and some days.

Thanks for following my progress and really appreciate your honest opinion 😊

    Cheers

hi bro. hows it going. these pics show some bad work. scars on the back are looking bad. also i cant see any growth here. i have been reading about hair transplant myself and yes it takes 6 months to show good change. but here I see some people saying that you have gor excellent result. am i missing something here? i dont see any hair growing , infact it is looking patchier than before. hope it gets better soon.

i M a noob in hair transplant thing, but seeing this I would rather not get it done . is it always like this. the back of the head really looks horrible as if someone has shot me there. i saw some videos on youtube but didnt see such ugly dots.

also the density after transplant doesnt look nice at all. but mayb thats how it is done. people here sayin that its all good..so must be..cheers and all the best

@batmanbegins The least you can do is be kind in what you say. Calling someones post op surgery as horrible dots, scars is not very nice.

What is your knowledge on HT and what research have you done so far? You said you would rather not get it done. What is your purpose of joining this forum?

    wow..thanks for the detailed journey.

till now, i am a bit apprehensive about your result. its way too slow. also the punch marks on the donor are very prominent. do you have any idea about the punch size used.  this is not an unshaven transplant. by the way what did you achieve by paying 20% extra for the UNSHAVEN part. it is still visible that you have got a surgery done.

sometiems reulst are a bit slower, but this gross patchiness isnt expected at 5 months plus mark. anyways, lets hope for the best. things will end well..good things happen to good people.

i hope that next month you will have much better hair. you are doing fine hair care wise. i myself cant do so many things. you are awesome buddy.

    Hey there

@Abhinay Singh can provide details about punch size.

20% extra is if you decide you dont want the hair buzzed down to zero. I dont recommend it at all as post care was a nightmare.  As you can see, I had to buzz everything at later stage.

I think if I keep buzz cut at the back, the marks will be visible. I am assuming it will be same with everyone.  Again @Eugenix Hair Science might be able to elaborate more on this.

In terms of growth, It is very slow but @Nelson at Eugenix only saw growth in month 7 as per Dr Sethi.

I will reserve my final review for month 12 considering I am a slow grower and I have a feeling that my final outcome can only be known at month 12.

I do panic at times but this wont speed up the growth and nor will worrying too much.

I am very thankful to @Eugenix Hair Science for always being there when I feel down about my growth and this is very important cos so many clinics would simply disappear after the patient is out.

Ill keep everyone posted on my progress. My 6 months update will be June 22nd .

I appreciate you following it and welcome your suggestions and advice .

@batmanbegins May I ask what Norwood are you and which clinics have you narrowed down so far? Am I right that you joined 3 hours ago and so far you are only hating Eugenix work. Seen your comment on another fellow patient from Eugenix.

I would suggest you choose another clinic if your first impression is not positive 👍

Hi @Looking for HT, I hope you’re doing well. I just had my procedure at Eugenix a few days ago. How’s your growth coming along. Anything to share since the last update.

Congratulations bud @Pyrat. Following your journey and wish you all the best.

Apologies in the delay in replying as got busy at work.

My hair is getting longer and it has definitely given a higher density illusion. Also, very very thin hair are growing in some areas which I think will get thicker. Mid frontal is a little patchy still but will see how next few months pan out. Ill be 6 months on June 22nd so will post all pictures so you can see the difference and compare with month 4 and 5 😊

Exciting days ahead for you :)

@Looking for HT... Hey man.. Hope you're well 😊..

Just thinking.. You were the last man on the planet to witness me in person as a bona fide bald NW 6/7...with grown out donor at back and sides 😢😢.. Not a pretty picture for sure.... Some dudes can rock that look perfectly well and go on and live perfectly happy lives.. But I'd had enough of the shaving my head every day and constantly comparing my hair situation to others ... I decided to go to war versus my hairloss... and youre on the same team man....

Your result is the one I'm waiting on  more than any other to be honest with you... Its gonna be just beautiful... 👌

Its a very strong hunch I have..

Chat soon and thanks again mate

    Z

Thats true bud. Probably I was the last one to see you post HT. Not saying you didnt look good then 😝 but now you look incredible with so much hair to manage. Soon you will be shopping for hair gels, wax etc 😃

Very happy for you and thanks for the motivation. Slow grower but hopefully it will turn out well too😃👍

    6 MONTH UPDATE

DENSITY HAS IMPROVED EVEN MORE IN THE LAST MONTH TO GREATLY ACHIEVE THAT ILLUSION OF DENSITY.  I CAN SAY THAT THE TRANSPLANTED HAIR HAS MATURED FURTHER OVER THIS PERIOD ALSO.

SLOW GROWING HAIR THAT WAS IMPLANTED INTO THE HAIRLINE WILL CONTINUE TO CATCH UP ON GROWTH ON THE REST OF THE TRANSPLANTED HAIR IN THE COMING MONTHS AHEAD.  THIS WILL ADD TO THE DENSITY AND FURTHER IMPROVE THE OVERALL LOOK OF NATURALNESS .

I SENT PICTURES AND SPOKE TO DR. PRADEEP AND HE SAID MY GROWTH IS VERY GOOD AND THEIR WILL BE FURTHER IMPROVEMENT AHEAD . I'M ONLY AT THE 6 MONTH MARK NOW AND I'M REALLY PLEASED WITH HOW MY HT HAS TURNED OUT TO DATE.

ANY COMMENTS OR QUESTIONS FEEL FREE.

    ALL THE BEST ,

    Dear Community,

After much deliberation, we have decided to suspend Dr. Bhatti’s membership. We value the input of the community, and we hear everyone’s concerns loud and clear.

We want to remind the community that we appreciate the feedback and input, we have come to the conclusion that it would be in everyone’s best interest to sever ties.

We would like to put this ordeal past us and move forward. If any of you have any additional questions feel free to share them.

Moving forward we would like to keep a positive environment, there’s enough division and negativity in this world. We’re all here to restore hair, let’s be civil and move onwards.

    Best wishes,

Great job Melvin for putting the community first and voting for truth and transparency. You are doing a great job. Thank you
