Many thanks to the OP for providing such a detailed honest account of your transplant journey and best of luck with your follow up procedure.

I was brought to this thread during my research and seeing some great results for Eugenix on the net. Reading the complete thread a number of questions have been raised by members but remained unanswered. The clinic have acknowledged via the OP that the results were poor (did I read the worst for re-growth?). The clinic have been able to see first hand the results of their previous transplant. At this stage (Dr Sethi) need to step up and provide some answers to re-assure prospective patients.

    1. What was cm2 of area to be covered?
    2. What was the transplanted density per cm2?
    3. Did eugenix explain why there were growth issues? How ur they address them this time?(WildBlueberry)
    4. Did Eugenix outline any part of the procedure that they would approach differently the 2nd time around since you had some grafts that never took?(MazAB)

    Cont....

    Hey mate

Thank you and Very good questions and exactly what I had in my mind too. Please see below answers:

    1. What was cm2 of area to be covered? I dont really remember.  @Abhinay Singh Can you please let know.
    2. What was the transplanted density per cm2? @Abhinay Singh This might be for you too :)
    3. Did eugenix explain why there were growth issues? How ur they address them this time?(WildBlueberry)- It seemed that some grafts didnt survive. It could be anything. Maybe body rejected it. Unfortunately,  I have no answer for this.
    4. Did Eugenix outline any part of the procedure that they would approach differently the 2nd time around since you had some grafts that never took?(MazAB)- Again , I dont think anything was different apart from that Dr Sethi came in the end to check everything himself and made sure no stone was left unturned.
    5. Temples- I believe that this could have been avoided. The technicians perhaps made an error.  Right side had mostly doubles and left singles. Seems singles didnt make it look dense enough.

However,  I also believe that there is some risk involved in any HT and a person may get unlucky.

I also think that not every clinic looks after their patients as Eugenix did and I am very thankful for that.

A picture below of where I started 😊 I am extremely happy !!

Wish you all the best mate if you are going down this route😊

Feeling really excited about this..and couldn't happen to a nicer bloke ..

Everything about this suggests ultimate sweetspot for a HT ..NW3 starting out, best of nutrition and exercise, strong hair calibre,2 passes and all of the above ring fenced by hair specific vitamins and finasteride......with a world class surgeon to carry out the procedure as the cherry on top !!

This will be THEE final result of 2021 !!

Thanks bud. Loving your feedback 😝😄

12 months in the book. Has been a a fulfilling journey. I have nothing but the deepest gratitude to the Eugenix team for giving me my hair and confidence back. I can recommend, without reservation, their services and hope my pictures and documentation can help someone else make an informed decision about their own hair restoration options.

As usual have added different views. 1) Barely towel dried in direct sunlight like if you’re at the beach. 2) Towel dried outside 3) styled with clay no fibers indoors4) Same as #3 but in direct sunlight 5) Same as #3 but outside.

I do feel that a year’s worth of Rogaine has helped my crown somewhat. Not a massive difference but noticeable.

This is it for me until 18 months. Will be back with one more update at that time.

    Peace,

    Fluff

What an amazing result mate. You dont need anything else at all.

    It really looks perfect😄

  5. Hey everyone

I hope all is good and my apologies for the delay in writing this post as things have been hectic travelling back and forth and now that I have settled and back home in Ireland, I would like to take some time and provide some details about my touch-up Procedure.

I am going to start with where I started initially and what lead to the touch up procedure.

I had my 1st surgery on 22nd Dec 2019 which you can scroll back to the first page and go through my progress. The surgery involved covering the mid front and the temples. I decided not to take Finasteride for the full 12 months.

After completing the 12 months, the mid frontal and the left temple did not reach the desired density and after the evaluation by Eugenix team, I was offered a FREE touch-up procedure that should help fulfil the results.

Before I provide further details, I would like to take this opportunity to Thank Dr Sethi & Dr Bansal and the entire Eugenix team for their professionalism, sense of urgency, consistently following up on my progress  and above all, offering a FREE touchup and making me feel comfortable throughout. I can sincerely say that Eugenix has been the best decision I made in terms of hair transplant.

Touchup on Jan 4th, 2021- Around 1000 grafts( Decided to take Fin 1mg a day)

After consultation and my concern about the ugly duckling, Eugenix team agreed to perform on the recipient area without trimming the hair and this would bypass the ugly duckling phase. All I needed was to trim the donor so I decided to go to a professional saloon( See pictures). Dar Bansal also marked where the grafts should be taken out and which areas needed density.

Dr Bansal did the punching, Dr Ravi involved too with the technicians. Dr Bansal gave the finishing touches making sure that no stone is left unturned. The whole surgery lasted 6 hours with a lunch break and an overnight stay provided by Eugenix.

The biggest change this time is that I started taking 1mb Finasteride from the day of surgery and have no sides until now(Fingers crossed). I consume a healthy clean diet and also taking hair vitamin tablet after breakfast.

Please see all the pictures below and thank you everyone for following my journey and support throughout. I am hoping that I will get the desired result this time so please keep me in your prayers 😊

Hope my journey has been helpful to consider your option and all the best to everyone !!

    Take care.

  6. 12 month update & Next steps----- Touchup procedure to rectify the poor density- Scheduled for Jan 4th, 2021

    Dear members

I hope all is well and my apologies for not posting the Month 11 and Month 12 update which were due on 22nd of each month.

The reason I have not posted is because there has been no improvement since Month 10th.

However,  the good news is that Dr Sethi and Dr Bansal have suggested a free touchup which has been booked for Jan 4th. Number of grafts to be used will be circa 1500.

I am hoping that I will be able to achieve the density after the procedure.

The recipient hair will not be trimmed at all. I will get a haircut prior to surgery and this will involve zero number trimming in the donor area.

I have landed in India already and looking forward to the surgery.

Also, I have decided to try Finasteride this time to see how my body reacts. If all goes well, I will be taking it for minimum 3 months.

Thank you everyone for following my progress and Thank you to Eugenix team for supporting me in these past 12 months and offering a solution.

Below is the picture taken at Month 12 since the procedure.

    Regards

It’s only been a few days of use with Alpecin Caffeine shampoo but I sense it’s helping recover the thickness in the crown after my shed ...

or perhaps it’s all imagined I’m not quite sure 😊

As I have seen you in person few days ago 😀 I cannot stress enough that nobody can tell you had hair transplant.  It looks very natural and with great coverage. The hair will only thicken further😀👌👌

Man I'm very impressed. The front 1/3 looks very thick, like native thick. How is that even possible with just 3500 grafts? Specially compared to Looking for HT, who had a similar number of grafts transplanted adjusting for the area covered.

Yes, mine have gaps unfortunately but the clinic has been very supportive and will perform a touch up if needed.

Ok, the immediate front looks sparse and the temple points look a bit unnatural at this point. But let's not forget you covered half your head plus reconstructing temple points with only 3.1k grafts.

As been mentioned, a touch up and you will be golden. The shape is there. Don't go any lower, just fill it in.

Dear God. How ugly did I look in these😂😂😝 Thanks to Dr Sethi for changing the way I look now. Not saying I am a good looking guy but definitely feel confident when I add a bit of fibres in the gaps. Hopefully, a touch up will take me where I wanted to be😀

    I concur. De

You've come a long way in just a month's time too:

    9-10Months.jpg.39a049acae0f5a18af83f0fefa96598d.jpg

Angles may be a bit different, but the mid frontal area definitely shows more hair and less scalp. Perhaps you are one of those cases of extreme slow regrowth and recovery and may need to give it 6 more months after your first year.

Otherwise things look great. Very natural. Thanks for the update!

Cheers mate. Existing hair has thickened up but quite big gaps in frontal part as you can see. Hoping to get this sorted in 2021

Just for comparison sake, I've attached a close up of the frontal shots from months 8 to 10. Although minimal, it appears that there is a slight improvement month to month.

    Month 8 cropped.jpg

    Month 9 cropped.jpg

Finally did it month 10 cropped.jpg

I might send you all my pictures so you can make a collage😝

That gap will need a retouch and hopefully it can be done without trimming my hair

Thanks for following my progress .

After the touchup, this is going to look ridiculously good. Your hair is so dense and thick. You've got tons of donor left. You're gonna get the front bulked up and the temples tweaked and hair loss is going to be a distant memory. Can't wait to see it.

Thanks mate. Appreciate you following my progress and honest opinion. Yes, a touch up indeed should sort out the issue of gaps. I will speak to Dr Sethi as dont want to trim my hair at all 😀 Dont want to go through ugly duckling phase🤦‍♂️😀
