Please do share some pictures also.

    10 months pictures :

Apologies for the delayed pictures as been a bit busy !!

As you can see, I wish mid frontal and left temple were fuller and I would have been delighted. Unfortunately,  thats not the case.

However, I am very happy how it looks from the side view and my right temple which is nicely filled due to mostly doubles implanted.

I feel that I have come a long way from where I started.

Although, strong feeling is that a touch up is going to be necessary as no new Hair growth spotted.

  2. Month 10 update

First of all thanks to everyone for following up my progress and I may not have replied to each one of your comments. So my apologies as have been a little busy with life.

I have nothing really to report. No new growth and only the existing hair are thickening.

Left temple is still the same ( patchy) and mid front still looks pretty see through. I am afraid there wont be any new growth I suppose.

I am pretty convinced that a touch up will be needed.

I will take some pictures and add in the next few days.

    Thanks and stay safe !!

Hope everyone is keeping well out there ..

9 months and 3 days this morning so I said I’d post a few pics to share how things are progressing along ..

I’m very happy how things are improving especially in the crown area ..felt a few pops of new hair last few days so things are playing out just like the Doc assured me ..expect new growth until around month 10 and extra maturing and thickening to month 12 or so

I was hung up on mid scalp density for a few months but never gave my hair a proper chance to grow out and attain that layering /shingling effect ..which is now starting to Kick in helping create that extra illusion ..besides a pal of mine said quite rightly ..bud you’re 6ft 2 ..no one sees the top of your mid scalp 99%of the time in real world situations...

like I’ve said at the very outset ..don’t let any Clinic tell you that just because you’re a Slick bald NW 6 or above with less than ideal donor characteristics you’re not a suitable FUE mega session candidate ....while true some prospective candidates are  indeed unsuitable ..ie too young ,Dupa, badly impaired donors ,unrealistic expectations ..the vast majority can achieve life changing results without the need for Multiple FUTs /FUEs...

however it must involve the use of BHT and if you’re wise about it ..the use of Dr Sethi and his team @ Eugenix

The first few pics are no product and the last  few you will notice the hair pressed down a little with some hair clay

hair is approx 3 inches on top at the moment

good luck with everyone on your journeys and any questions feel free to ask

I still think we all may be jumping the gun just a tad re the final result here ...

When you combine the no doubt world class technique applied by the team and the God given top tier physiology of the Big guy ( think Navy Seal good  as I've met the OP in person  )....I'm still of the view their will be action in that frontal mid scalp recipient..

Hang in there...looks like night and day difference  pre and post pics ..

To give you hope the Doc advised me to expect "pops " up to the 10 month mark...and that's exactly how its playing out ..two lil bad boys broke  through the scalp  last night ..crown area...

Thanks bud. You always fill my mind with positive vibes 😀

    Fingers and toes crossed.

May your words come true and it improves further.

Hope all is good with you. Lets catch up again once Lockdown is lifted😀👍👍

Even if nothing else grows, I still think the new hairs will get a lot thinker from their current state. Both top middle and temple points should mature noticeably to month 12/13. I do agree that even with maturity, you need more coverage, and the fact that Eugenix will make good for you on that is a true testament to their professionalism. Most clinics that I've seen will force you into a paid engagement for a second procedure to fix the inadequate density.

Love the monthly updates, keep them coming!

Thanks a mil. Yes, Dr Sethi is super supportive. Lets see what happens as ready to wait for total 14-15 months

Thanks for following and your feedback😊

Your donor area is ridiculously thick. It appears you could harvest another 3000 and not miss a beat. Your touchup procedure is going to get you where you want to be and then some. Yes, you'll have to go through another ugly duckling stage, but it will be a small price to pay for the end result. My guess is Dr. Sethi can't wait to have another shot at this.

You definitely look better than where you started. No doubt about that. Hope you continue to keep us updated through month 12.

    All the best, mate.

    Fluff

Thanks mate. Yes donor is actually pretty full😀 Dont know if I will want to take out 3k though 😀 Fingers crossed and I am optimisted that either way, I would like to achieve the results.

Dr Sethi also mentioned that touch up will not require shaving my head again so I might get lucky by bypassing the ugly duckling phase. I hope this will be possible😬

I really appreciate you following my progress and providing an honest opinion 😊

  7. Month 9 update

    Hope all is well folks.

So I have completed 9 months today and below are some pictures.

The transplanted hair is maturing and texture is improving.

However,  I am afraid that there might not be any new growth from now onwards. This means a 2nd touch up procedure in mid frontal and left temple will need to be done.

Unfortunately,  I have to use fibres every time I go out or it doesnt look good when its viewed from the front. Side view looks perfect though apart from left temple where mostly singles were inserted and hence the difference between the two temples.

But hey, not the end of the world. Dr Sethi is very supportive so I will follow what he suggests.

Big thanks to everyone for following my journey and your honest feedback.

    Stay safe !!

Praying these gaps fill in, Nelson. They're unsightly and frustrating, and I've gone back to wearing a hat. Has nothing to do with 40 hairs/sqcm. Will wait patiently, though, for that 1 year mark to fully assess. Was hoping to avoid a second sitting, but I'll do whatever it takes to get the outcome I desire ☺️.

Dont worry mate. I am back on hats too. Be hopeful and you never know. By month 12 , you may see the results you want. In the worst case scenario a touch up in the future is always there. You still seem to have a lot of grafts available.

    Stay strong 👍👍

    Hi All

8 months today and it’s been the most stressful month of my life so can’t have helped things HT wise ..but life goes on ..

I’ve attached mix of indoor /outdoor pics for comparison.

To answer @NAVI HTs are all about expectations and starting points..my resulte so far might seem mediocre to your average NW 2 to 5 but i can tell you as a NW 6/7 there are days I feel like I’ve won the lottery re how things are turning out ..especially so as i was deemed unsuitable candidate in the past ..

My área of concern is mid scalp density /thickness so I’m hopeing I’ll have improvements right up to the 12 Month Mark ..also happy to report new “pops “in hairline and crown area last couple of days

two things about finasteride ..it definitely is helping my donor become more robust and recover well and has darkened my hair ...and also maybe someone one here can clarify does using Finasteride negate the benefits of using beard to scalp grafts ..ie Fin miniaturizes beard hair ??..I picked up on this somewhere on fórum ..I asked Eugenix to clarify no word back yet .

    Any feedback most welcome

Absolutely phenomenal from where you started and how you were rejected by other doctors.

Very happy for you. We both still have 4 months to go so hopefully things will improve further😀👍

Density aside, things look really good, your techniques in your procedure are technically sound, and you look like a different person since before your procedure.

Positive vibes being sent your way brutha. Happy growing!

Thanks mate. Whats grown so far is technically sounds and hoping that everything improves.

Thanks for your kind wishes !!

Your donor area looks phenomenal at this length. It's definitely the sweet spot. I need to revise my earlier comment! Granted you can't really rock a fade, but that's a small price to pay for a fuller head of hair. Looks like you still have a ton of grafts back there, so a touchup procedure won't be an issue at all.

First 6 layers in the hairline remain problematic, but it appears everything else continues to thicken. Your profile shots are looking much stronger now. I think the temple points are looking a tad better as well. I think my primary gripe is that they don't really match the surrounding hair very well, at least at this point. I think the design of the points themselves is top notch, and even 25% more density would make them look great. Let's hope that more hairs pop in these next couple of months to get you across the finish line. 😁

Overall, I feel this is your best looking update yet. At least you've got a free touch up offer in your pocket, so the crew at Eugenix definitely has your back. Thanks for continuing to post. Looking forward to month 9!

Apologies for the delayed response mate. Your feedback is 100% correct 😀 Donor looks perfect now but cannot give a fade or patchy parts will be visible.

Also temples actually dont match the rest. Hopefully this will change with time.

You are bang on about the first six layers and lack of growth and density. When I look closely,  mid front seems to be quite empty. The density on left and right is better though.

I just hope this improves or a trip to India will be on cards. Mid frontal and temples will be on the main agenda.

Your genuine feedback is much appreciated 😊 and thanks for following my progress.

BTW , I am really excited about your end result. Its going to be phenomenal 😊👌👌

My opinion: Every month it improves. By month 12 you may well be happy. You had a very large area filled in in front of your existing hairline and it looks infinitely better than before you started.  If you are over 35 years old, this is already a hairline that 80% of men would envy.

Thanks mate. Hoping for improvement in mid frontal area. Appreciate you following the progress.

  13. Month 8 update

So today I have completed 8 months since I had my surgery on 21/22 Dec 2019.

Results so far are not what I expect but I am going to give it full 12 months before passing any judgements. Also, if after 12 months, the things doesnt improve, its not the end of the world.

I trust and have been told that Dr Sethi with perform a touch up procedure if required. But who knows...I might get lucky by month 12. So I am leaving negativity behind and hoping for the best.

BTW, I have let my hair grow at the back and nobody can tell that I have got a HT done.

I do have a lot of grey so will colour it in few weeks.

I cannot thank enough for all the support and advice so far from everyone at this forum.

    Thank you

Same here, there may only be a couple of cases with below average results, however I don't  believe those cases have progressed to the end result, this one included. I've seen some really really bad results on this forum, and in those cases not only did the density suck, but the graft placement was horrible and unnatural, which is even harder to overcome. The one thing about Eugenix from what I can see is that they have a true artistry to graft placement and design to give the most natural look possible. As far as I'm concerned, as long as a clinic is exceptional in that area, the worst case scenario is that you have to get a second procedure done to add more density, but NOT have be concerned with a true repair job and redesign to fix a botched transplant. Based on the photos, I believe that a smaller procedure to add density will probably do the trick here. Or maybe not, if you prove out to ba a late bloomer, hopefully the best is yet to come. My fingers are crossed for you brother, as I too will be scheduling with Eugenix as soon as this pandemic is behind us. Keep posting your progress!

Thanks for following my progress and your input. Much appreciated!!

It takes a lot of patience for delayed growers (personal experience). But hold on. It will get better with time. Also, lets wait for the temples to further develop.

If there i anything that we find amiss, we shall definitely move towards rectifying it. I assure you of that. We are here for you and whatever is the end product, it is 100% our responsibility.

Thank you and this means a lot. It has really put my mind at ease and will help me to stay patient 😊

  16. Hey mate. Thanks for posting the update and clear pictures.

Although, there is a slight difference from your 5 month update but I think its the lighting and good/bad hair days difference :)

I still think that your growth is really good and it suits you. Surely this will get better considering you are a fast grower.

I am following your progress and look forward to your next few months . I have no doubt that it will get better.

    Stay positive :)

    Cheers

  17. Call with Dr Sethi to discuss the progress- Aug 11, 2020( 7 months and 20 days since my HT)

I would like to start by expressing A big thank you to Dr Sethi who helped calm my nerves this morning.

I believe that we all have been at a stage where negative thoughts crawl in mind, especially when we don't see the results that we expect.

In my case , the growth has been slow and it made me really concerned. I wonder if Covid 19 and working from home since March has something to do with me being impatient or panicking :D

There are few things that I have discussed:

    1) Frontal growth- Dr Sethi acknowledges that so far, the growth is the slowest amongst all his patients but before he makes a decision on the next steps, a wait for another 2 months is suggested. If still the results are not as expected, Dr Sethi will fully support me in a touch up procedure without any charge. Also, shaving and trimming of hair will not be required. ( This is a big relief for myself ). This shows that the doctor actually cares about the patients so I do feel a little embarrassed for panicking earlier.

    2) Donor- The donor hair was taken out in the same way as any other patient and if anyone buzz it down to zero, the evidence of HT will  be 100% be seen.  I have started growing the hair at the back so the HT is less evident for sure and probably one cannot even tell if it grows longer.

The bottom line is that it might be better for me to put my trust in Dr Sethi at this stage and follow his lead considering that he has promised to fully support and if the touch up is required , he will help and this will include the left temple if there is a difference from the right one.

Thank you everyone for your feedback and support and I shall keep you posted.

    Regards

I feel you have every right to be upset with your result at this stage. You've been incredibly patient, but at almost 8 months things should be looking better. Sure your recipient may show further growth and thickening, but your donor area does not appear to have been managed with great care. I do not think, however, that it was over harvested. If anything, Eugenix is very conservative and ethical in their graft estimates. I agree with another poster that you chose a slightly aggressive hairline given your pattern of baldness, but the yield in the first six rows of your hairline is subpar to my eyes. Consequently, its gives the effect of 3112 grafts not being enough, but with your hair caliber it should've been sufficient.

Obviously a HT is not an exact science, but top clinics consistently get top results. I think it's only fair, however, to wait a year before making a final judgment call. As Nelson said, there is still time for growth and thickening. I'm cheering for you, brotha. I know how much this matters to you. As PizzaWolf said, your courage in continuing to post is incredible. You are undoubtedly helping others make a more informed decision in their hair restoration journey. Look forward to months 8 and beyond.

Thank you mate. I had a call with Eugenix and will create a new post below. I really appreciate your input and hopefully things will improve. Cheers
