However, the degree of downwardness and backwardness varies from person to person. These hairs are usually light colored, slow growing, thin and single follicles. Their curl falls on the skin. The lowest lines of hair on temple are nearly transverse to surface and parallel to the eyebrows. This 39-year-old man was Grade VI on the Norwood Hamilton Scale of baldness when he came to us for his transplantation procedure. The index patient was a 45 year old caucasian who suffered from a high grade of baldness: Grade VI-VII. He had very few hopes of getting his scalp covered completely.
