  1. Gotchya. Yeah, I agree. Dr Boxhams post is very good and helped ease some of my concerns early on.
  2. Good graph but it’s a bit confusing.... Are the percentages show “maturity”..because it says ‘Hair transplant regrow timeline’? Isnt there (2) timetables to go by, the new growth timeline/percentage & the maturity timeline/percentage?...at least that’s my takeaway from Dr Bloxhams explanation.
  3. Thanks! @Raphael84 Yeah, it’s been a long process but so far happy with my progress although hoping for more. I think 1,500 grafts were placed in the crown if I recall, the rest in the frontal and mid area. Haha, seems so :) thanks, will do.
  4. Looks interesting, but if it worked then the company would have posted many comprehensive before and after photos as I’m sure they’d have no problem finding unbiased test subjects not just suspect “testimonials”. If hair loss was all just a blood flow issue then one could easily cover the scalp in cayenne pepper or peppermint oil or hang upside down to get the blood flowing to the scalp.
  5. Progress looks good, as does your hair quality and donor area!
  6. Hi, Good on you for deciding to pull the trigger! When I was doing my research prior to my surgery, I liked Dr Rahal’s work, he’s a top doc, but I ultimately decided to go overseas. If you are in the US then in my opinion price & results wise, he looks like a good choice since he’s a top surgeon and exchange rate from the US to Canada is very favorable, I believe $4.50/graft but I’m not 100% sure, compared to the elite US docs that charge $6-10/graft, if it fits within your budget of course. Good luck!
  7. Itching is normal post operation but at 11-months it seems out of the norm to me...unless you’re a slow grower and it’s hairs growing. DHT surge & pain?? Never heard of that, you can’t see DHT and it doesn’t cause pain it just shrinks your native hair follicles over time.
  8. Thanks! Over 2-days. I’ll post which clinic as I get closer to my final results or sooner if I feel much more improvement and am satisfied with it.
  9. I specifically asked my clinic this question prior to my fue procedure since I have a good amount of grey/white hair and if It would be a problem for the procedure or if I should dye my hair 24-hours prior....they informed me with a No, it wouldn’t be an issue and no need to dye it.
  10. Almost 8-months post FUE procedure Thought i’d take and post a photo of my hair straight after a shower, slicked back, in harsh lighting. It’s getting longer and I’ve buzzed my sides because they grow faster until I get to the barber since the hair mid scalp is a bit see thru still so hoping for more density, thickening and improvement in the next few months.
  11. How are you liking your new hairline and new temple triangles now that things are filling in?
  12. Donor area does look good with the longer hair length in recent photos, nice. 👍🏻
  13. This is partly why I decided to post my bi-monthly progress photos on this site....so I can look back on my own progress all in one spot instead of digging through photos, much easier to see how much has changed for the better.
  14. Ah, yes, looked at your previous photos of donor, when your hair is longer it is difficult to see anything out of the ordinary, looking good so far either way!
  15. Heya, your growth and progress looks good! Why is your donor area showing a big square outline thru the hair? Just curious.
  16. 7.5 months post FUE procedure (different lighting/background) Mid-scalp and crown need density to improve so hoping that happens over the next few months, I haven cut the hair on top since October.
  17. 7.5 months post FUE procedure. So..my hair has always been slightly wavy and wirey...so I’ve decided to start using a good natural conditioner after a shampoo since now I have some hair and it seems to be helping tame it a bit.
  18. Improving nicely. Although, you may want to consider getting your hair cut much shorter, it helps level out the difference between your native hair and the new hair as well as makes density look better than when it’s long and only at 4.5months. I too have somewhat pale skin, and hair used to be dark ash but now more salt and pepper.
  19. Progress looks good, maybe you’re just a slow grower.
