  1. Awesome result. congrats man. By any chance do you remember the name of your techs?
  2. Congrats Dazed, that's the feeling we are all looking for
  3. It's similar, that's a good result from Dr Erdogan... I would say most HT doctors deal with cases of diffused thinning
  4. I remember you stating you have had two procedures, how many grafts in total have you used for your coverage?
  5. Ok so a lot of Dr Dieps work on you during your procedures were in-between and around miniaturizing and weak hair and now your density looks really good... that gives hope to pessimism a bit. Did you experience shock loss and if so how much?
  6. Totally forgot they had that function, shows how much I use Youtube lol... #fail Erdogans clinic has some advanced technology for mapping the head and density etc, I wonder how in handy this type of tech comes in the end, probably not a lot.
  7. Wow this is such an awesome result, you took the long term route and it has worked out fantastic, Melvin always talks about something called 'hair greed', I think at this point any more surgeries on you for awhile would be just that lol, what an awesome issue to have hahaha, congrats bro and hats off to your doc!
  8. Yes it does look discoloured, you aren't going crazy, but it's so early on give the entire area another 3 or 4 months to heal and hopefully it disappears, worst case scenario it lingers but you have a stronger head of hair to cover it.
  9. This site is far from perfect but compared to the other ones I'm on it's the most helpful and up to date of any of them. Honestly life is one big business... if they are making some side money from it, big deal. As long as we get truthful, no bullshit results posted by surgeons and have the right to be open and honest I don't see an issue... if the transparency and realness of the site gets compromised that's when we all have an actual problem.
  10. Does the 'extracellular matrix' or acell as I've seen described by other clinics make the world of difference for these results or would PRP on it's own do the same job?
  11. Yeah the new clinic looks good, I wish I knew what they were saying throughout lol
  12. Hey bro, Basically if you run your hands through a certain area of your head and you feel that the hairs on the portion feel weaker and thinner than yeah it's most likely diffuse thinning, it's thinning and dying before it falls out realistically, take a look at Panamera's example of his own, that's the way diffuse thinning goes.
  13. Yep you are right, you hardly ever see people stop at NW3, if I was going for a surgery where the amount of grafts I needed were around 3k plus I'd only go for FUT, FUE seems to be better for the short term but if you are going to have extensive hair loss over your life you need every graft you can, also you are right about the hairline thing... for me personally I'd rather have density and keep my hairline at where it is which is pretty high as is anyway... good post Harry.
  14. Thank you for posting an example pic Pan, that is awesome, yes my diffuse thinning is starting to become like yours on my frontal third, none of the meds seem to be working anymore, I am also considering H&W for their strong results, keep us updated and I hope when you do go for it you get a stellar result mate! Edit: Oh and you should seriously consider the FUT route if you keep your hair that long at the sides, it will hide the scar, you'll get stronger results, have more donor hair for the future and less chance of transection, something to consider.
  15. Hey PA, yeah you are right, that's what it comes down to... would you rather not do anything about it and wonder if... exactly.
  16. Thanks spex, always appreciated, yeah I've pretty much come to the conclusion you stated, prepare for shock loss... it just makes it seem like a HT is pointless if you have diffuse thinning on your frontal third because it just means that hair is going to fall out and it's going to look sparse just with the transplanted hair.
  17. Is it a good idea? Any of you have diffused thinning and went and got a hair transplant? The more I research into HT's and the industry as a whole it seems like the worst situation to have is diffused thinning on the top because you can have a HT to help restore some density but sooner or later, even with fin etc, you are destined to lose the other native hair sitting by the transplanted hair. This is my situation and it's making me second guess getting any work done.
  18. Hey man, I'm in New Zealand too and seriously considering a transplant, my temples are creeping back and I'm thinning in the middle, it's a pain with the exchange rates to get a transplant because it costs us so much more, is price much of a factor to you? If you got a transplant I'd say it would be 1500 to 2000 grafts to fill in the temple recession and possibly to bring the hairline down a half inch or so, the hair you have looks strong though which is a good sign for you.
  19. Wow, so shock loss can be permanent? I always thought it grew back in 3 or 4 months
  20. Hang in there man, do not let this take you down, the way I see it you have a partner and you have a good beard so you don't need to be out there searching for females or anything, worst case scenario is you grow the beard out, get some scalp micropigmentation and shave your head to look like you have that short haired strong beard look. Get the micropigmentation to help disguise the HT scar and rock out bro. Don't let the vanity shit destroy your life... be strong.
  21. Starting to look good mate, wait until it grows in around the 9 month mark, I bet it looks full!
  22. Is he still doing all the extractions, incisions an placements by himself or is he using techs now? If he is doing all that by himself in his mid 60s he's a beast!
  23. Hey bro, yeah trust me this is normal, I remember when I first started on fin the hair loss slowed down, I have been using it consistently for the last 6 years and my hair is consistently falling out, it's a depressing feeling, knowing something works like fin but also knowing it doesn't stay as effective as it once was the longer you choose to use it, the body adapts to it and fights back at it with more force, so you are taking generic fin right? So was I, just recently switched to DUT to see if it halts the hair fall, have you ever thought of going on name brand fin/ propecia? I've read that the name brand version can be more effective... also a lot more expensive though. Hang in there mate.
  24. Awesome mate... I hope it goes great for you! The one thing that worries me about Konior is his age, like anything wouldn't someone become less skilled and tire out quicker as they get older? Maybe I'm wrong
