@Melvin-Moderator you were right man! Dr. Diep would love for me to come in for the 1 year transformation video. However, due to our current pandemic its kind of tough! Lol!

Hello everyone I know a lot of you have been asking for an update so here's my 13 month results! I haven't cut the top of my hair since the procedure and I am very pleased with how everything turned out. Just the fact that I can put my hair up in a man bun feels amazing. Looking back at where I started baseline to now its crazy to see how much a lower hairline changes your appearance. I went from being able to fit 5 fingers onto my forehead to now 3 and a half. If I have any advice to anyone out there struggling with self confidence because of their hair I do highly recommend getting a HT, end of story.

Hey guys im about 10 months post op now. I will post an update soon but I am really satisfied with my results thus far!! To be honest if I get more density within the new few months its icing on the cake... Only thing I'm waiting is for some of the wiryness to go away but I expect it to straighten out fully in the months to come

@baldlivesmatter awesome journey man. Im just finished 7 months and quite pleased with my results as well. If i may ask, did you notice any changes in density or texture or growth of your hair after month 7? Just wondering what to expect for the next 5 months, thanks!

is that thin spot just how it looks or did you like purposely spread it out like that? or is that just how it is naturally after the FUT?

In case you were curious where i started at pre-op. Wow this procedure has already changed my life so much and how self conscious i was about my forehead

4 days away from being 5 months post op. Update: I can officially say that all nerve endings on the top left f my head and donor area have finally returned to normal like pre op I feel like. So if anyone wondering I’d say it takes 5 months before you regain complete normal sensation again and no more numbness

any updates my man? coming up on 5 months together brother!

Hey @Legend007 not sure if this is a stretch or not but I did notice you mentioned in your posts you always use conditioner when washing your hair and on top of that you rub body lotion on your hair was well. I have found studies linked with severe clogging of follicles when using too much conditioner even because it does contain a lot of oil. Do you think your scalp could be potentially too much sebum build up due to this ?

4 months and 2 week update. Every single day my hair appears to be getting more dense. Very happy with how things are coming along.. id pay for this procedure anytime. Heck I’d even pay $12 per graft if these results keep improving like this. It feels insane to no longer have a receding hairline anymore. I honestly think I may have the hairline I had when I was 10 years old or maybe even lower? Damn I don’t know but let’s go boys!!

Day 18 Updates!
I will keep it short and sweet today by bullet point because there aren’t many new things to discuss.
* Shedding: Light. It is not what I expected yet (and am secretly hoping I’m one of the fortunate few who do not shed at all). How do I know I’m shedding? Whenever I shampoo and condition my hair, I notice bits of hair in the foam. Good news is I can’t tell where they’re coming from and by this point the graphs should be secure.
* Meeting with Dr. Diep: My short post-op meeting went well. It took about 10 minutes when he reviewed my scalp and let me know what to expect in the weeks to come. He said if by week 4 I haven’t shed, I am looking good to not undergo that part of the recovery, but that everyone’s progress is different. From what I’ve read, shedding can happen between Weeks 2-8 Post op. Naturally, I’m trying not to think about it.. if and when it happens, I’ll handle it haha. Dr. Diep commented that my recovery seems to be very quick considering how long it has been and he predicts I’ll have amazing results from what he can see so far. Here’s to crossing my fingers!
Dandruff/Dry Scalp: My dandruff has improved since using Norizal; however, now that it’s more on the controlled side, I’m reducing my use of it to only two times per week. Why? It’s very strong and is drying out my scalp. Dr. Diep also mentioned this is a side effect and told me to use any conditioner as long as I made sure to thoroughly wash it out to prevent build up and blockage of the graphs (or it could damage them). He specifically mentioned Dove brand, but said any type is fine with a good wash to prevent buildup.
Redness: Redness continues but is fading slowly. I can super tell because I’m being so observant but I’m not sure others notice as closely as I do. I’ve only received compliments for my buzz cut / shorter hair which is nice! It’s pretty wild to compare before and current pics! I had some brief buyer’s remorse... then realized it does look really great in a few months!
I am planning a picture update on Day 21!
Thanks for reading!
Nice updates. If you view my thread, I personally did not shed until about the 7th week? Almost at 2 months post op! I also wonder if this was when i started getting more aggresive with washing my hair. prior to it i was being very gentle with washing in the shower.

Anyone have any conditioner recommendations?
I was looking at the below but my post op instructions say no oil for 12 months post op.
Biotin Hair Growth Conditioner for Hair Loss Natural Thickening Volume Conditioner for Fine Hair Volumizing Deep Treatment for Thinning Color Treated Hair Sulfate Free with Castor Oil for Woman & Men https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07DZJN6NZ/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_J58JDbK3702HG
Yeah that’s what I was thinking this whole time. I saw the post op instructions saying no oil for 12 months and conditioner is essentially just oil so I haven’t been using any thus far. Still just baby shampoo everyday

Yea I remember I had something like that. Just leave it alone the hairs will sprout out. You're a freak of nature. Your hair is already growing so fast. The fast growers always seem to be of asian descent. @bondi by the 5th month looked like me at 10 months.
lolol dude @bondi though actually was a legit freak of nature. My progress is going relatively fast but his speed of growth was on another level. it looks stupid dense already at his 5 month mark...

Yea sounds like there may be some ingrown hairs. Are you seeing pimples?
This one I have seems different from a pimple from what I had before. This tiny bump is like harder which made me thinks its more like an ingrown hair. Did you have something like this and should I just leave it alone? I have to resist like rubbing it lol
-
4 month update! Lots of tiny sprouts. Caught this weird angle so you can see all the mini sprouts. I do have like what feels like an ingrown hair on the right side of my hairline, it kind of hurts a little when you rub it not sure if this is normal? Maybe it’s just a hair trying to push through? If anyone has experience with this let me know thanks.

Hey man awesome updates, its funny because everything you are posting about is exactly what i experienced. Check out my thread with Dr. Diep. I am 5 days away from being exactly 4 months post op and things are growing RAPIDLY
-
@SprayPaint Did you mention whether or not you use any conditioner after shampooing daily since your FUE?
-
Just saw your video on Dr. Diep's youtube channel last friday. great results wow
-
Im afraid @FUEblonde1985 is going to be one of the many who stop posting updates because they've gone far off into the distance with their new full head of hair :((. Was hoping for this 6-7 month update

How was the quality of your donor hair prior to the procedure? @FrontalHT12. Looking at your father's donor hair it seems that genetically speaking you may be prone to having hair loss in the donor region. Is it possible that the donor hair taken and planted to your recipient area could have been non DHT resistant and therefore yielded non ideal results? Just curious on your thoughts about this because generally speaking the quality of how your recipient area turns out is typically a direct correlation on the quality of your donor hair.
