I think there is a correlation to hair loss n excessive sweat.. it might not be the root cause of hair loss .. like MPB .. but ur hair is most vulnerable to breakage when its wet .. that’s why if ur scalp sweats a lot .. then u will lose more hair . When u touch it or comb it .. because it’s wet. Especially if ur hair is already thin from MPB .. I know when I travel to humid countries I always have more hairloss when I shake my head .. Because of the excessive sweating I’ve endured throughout the day ..

Hey speran .. yeah I think u right .. just go ahead and take the 50% refund .. it’s not about the money u just wanted more hair .. it’s disapponting u didn’t get it to a satisfactory standard .. who would think that paying a few thousand dollars to make urself feel n look better only to make things worse .. no point stressing out over what has been done .. u still have options ,, go fix urself n choose another doctor that u can trust with ur hair .. I think in the end u gonna be better .. ur hair looks good, it’s manageable .. just gotta tough it out for the next few months .. best of luck to ya ..

I think ur eyebrows are fine .. eyebrows aren’t supposed to be noticeable .. I kinda think u have too much eyebrow hair, less is more ..

When u in the beginning of ur hair loss .. it’s the most difficult time .. just cuz my hair loss hAppended to me later in life and not as dramatic as urs don’t mean it’s any less devastating .. but I’m more knowledgeable now... propecia seems to be working .. n if that fails there’s the hair transplant .. option. Until then I just have more money in the bank , a good job N a pretty girlfriend .. but with less hair.. I can’t complain too much .. have a good 2018.

Can u give us a rough estimate of the total cost ? I’m happy for u ,, n u had everything planned out to accomplish these results .. but most of us can’t afford this many procedures .. please advise on what is likely the cost for all these transplants, so we can make our own plan n if it’s worth it .. thanks ..

U r right .. i agree with most of u .. if it wasn’t for my kaiser dermatologist I went to see 6 months ago to get a prescription of finasteride .. who said I was going to b bald like mr burns.. I wouldn’t be stressing so much about my hair and willing to spend thousands on my hair if it wasn’t for what he said //!I was like really ? Is it that bad ? Well he’s young n not a hair specialist so I’m hoping he’s wrong .. my hair is thinning no doubt .. but I’m hoping that since I’m already 38 with no known history of MPB n my hair loss n recession is minimal .: that I can make it to 50 .. with decent hair .. but I don’t mind getting a transplant to thicken up my hairline n If need be a 2nd transplant to midscalp later in life .. rather than having bad hair for the next ten years .. so I’m still undecided , I’m okay with how I look now, but I rather feel good about how I look n for the next few years .. but I don’t want to risk getting a bad transplant n making things in worse n spending thousands of hard earned money .. I like doctor Nader too .: I would choose him as a surgeon .. when I’m ready for my first transplant in a couple months .. n he responds to my email .. imma choose him also for surgery .. for quality n price .. I’m willing to travel !

Propecia is the best way to keep your hair from miniaturizing.. if u don’t take it eventually most ur hair will get thinner n become easier to fall out n by the time u notice it .. most ur hair has thinned out n miniaturized so it breaks easier .. n the new hair that grows to replace it will be even smaller till u have no hair in that follicle .. ur Hair volume will be a lot less .. I was in same situation as u .. I used it for 4 months.. didn’t see a difference in results because I had so much hair at 35.. n my hair grew so fast .. now I’m 38 n realize my mistake .. started back on it 4 months ago n hoping n praying it can thicken my hair back up .. it gives me hope though .. cuz I know it works .. ur hair won’t fall out as easy .. n if u already noticing ur hair loss ,, more than likely cuz u aren’t growing enough hair to combat the hair loss like when u were younger ... . once u start u can’t just quit .. it accelerates ur MPB if u do..now I’m looking for a transplant .. cuz of all the negative stuff online n didn’t want to be dependent on a drug n in denial of my MPB .. I stopped taking prophecia at 35 with only a 4 month trial .. then I started shedding .. lost my temple area n thinned all up top.. I’m still a Norwood 2 however . But now I’m looking into a transplant to get back what I lost.. .. Around $10k just for 1200 grafts .. if I stayed on Propecia back then I wouldnt have to spend thousands of dollars right now .. only side effect I feel is I don’t have a boner every Morning . N don’t need to jackoff all the time .. But I can still have an erection when I’m aroused ..’so don’t overthink it .. n don’t blame prooecia for minor health issues that is caused by other things .. just know though once u start it .. whatever side effect u thought u had while on it .. is going to be very minor to the acceleration of ur hair loss when u get off it..

Results look great .. did he recieve any shockloss to the native hair ? How did u guys manage to implant 2k grafts into his existing hair without causing shock loss n still have enough blood supply for the new grafts to survive ? Is it just hit or miss ?or is he just a good candidate ?It’s awesome.. I’m impressed ..

I’m not sure why they wouldn’t operate on me .. all I wanted to restore my hairline it’s not a big procedure .. n I don’t really care about the vellus hairs on my hairline currently .. it’s not dense or strong .. I can’t comb it .. my hair looks so flat now .. check out the pics .. do u guys think that the doctors can improve my hairline ? It’s not a lot of grafts but heck it will do a lot for my hair .. it will give it volume again .. I really don’t know what happened ,, even last year I was a Norwood 1 .. all of a sudden I’m a Norwood 2 with A lot of thinning on top .. Well tomorrow I was suppose to drive the 6 hour trip to Los Angeles Beverly Hills to do my transplant with doctor baubac .. but since it’s canceled I’m bummed out .. I probably will go n get a hair transplant consultation in a few months with dr diep instead .. since he’s only a 2.5 hour drive from me .. I really just want a miniaturization test and see my actual Norwood n my potential Norwood later on .. if I like what I hear n my balding isn’t too progressive I just might spend the money n get it done there with diep.. even though he’s expensive . if not I probably go with doctor Nader n bite the bullet and take an airplane trip to Mexico to save money ..

U didn’t pay for a 50% hairgrowth .. u lost precious grafts n time.. now u have to pay more to get it repaired? How would a 50% refund okay ? U now goong to have to pay 150% more for the same amount of hair u originally paid for .. up to u tho .. if they are willing to give u a partial refund then they realize they are at fault .. so get all ur money back ..

YeS quidproquo.. I’m hopin propecia will stabilize my hair .. so I can get a hair transplant next year .. I still want more volume in my hair .. I’ve seen some good results of transplants .. But also seen some risks n disappointments too .. so I just wait it out .. the longer I can prolong a hair transplant the better chance I won’t have to get another.. it’s a lot of money to spend .. but worth it if done right .

I wake up this morning n feel like my hair is not too bad.. I’m just older n have thinner hair ..so i don’t look as handsome as I used to. I am 38 after all .. if my girlfriend wasn’t 25 n pretty , I wouldn’t ever want to spend no $10K to look youthful again .. I’m comfortable in my own skin for now .. I could look better with more hair no doubt .. n I was willing to spend the money for it .. but from listening n learning from everyone .. I need to take a step back n stop panicking just because I’m now noticing my hair loss.. I just need to accept I’m getting older n not as good looking anymore .. n actually grateful for having minimal hair loss at my age.. I feel kinda selfish this year .. been stressing out about my hair n neglecting friends n family because of my insecurity .. so imma try to improve on that next year.. — I like to personally thank bill , jsrader , jean, n widows peaks, spidey and also everyone that responded to this thread .. I never did tell the clinic that I started a thread about my upcoming hairtransplant .. so I doubt it if they even know this thread exist.. I never did spoke to dr. Baubac himself ..( which is a disappointment ) but I didnt really care.. As human nature we have trust in our doctors .. I just expected him to do a good job during the surgery.. so I only spoke to their patient coordinator Chris .. who i thought was knowledgeable .. he had a transplant himself at a young age .. so I felt comfortable with him .. I asked all the necessary questions from learning from this website .. he was able to answer them so I didn’t really care if it came from doctor baubacs mouth .. cuz the clinics word in writing is their bond .. to me anyways.. legally n mentally for my own piece of mind .. - I liked that the doctor is hands on , he would draw the hairline , does the extractions himself . N the incisions ,,, then the techs would implant .. - from what i learned here . I was smart enough to ask , if it was a manual fue , n does he do lateral slits , n most important if he was going to do a miniaturization test to see where I am thinning to have a master plan for the future.. —- they do all those things , - their patient coordinator Chris / sales rep said that this month (December) they are giving out free PRP after a hair transplant a ($2500) value .. , along with the $1500 off for travel expense , which sold me.. I see value in that.. but honestly I think they offer free PRP every month ( n I doubt it’s $2500 unless it’s PRP with Acell) which is around $1500 ,PRP alone is usually $750 to $1500.. that’s the cali average.. but hey I don’t blame him for overstating the value, he is their sales rep after all , it’s his job to upsell..they offer PRP because it helps with the healing .. the redness n scabs go away faster ..they sent me pictures with their patients that had quicker prp recovery success after a hair transplant .. PRP doesn’t grow hair , it helps ur scalp be healthy so it can do it’s job to regrow hair .. from my research , that’s why they offer it , so their results will be better n it’s not time consuming for the clinic .. well anyways u have to research the internet and see what discounts ar available then ask for those discounts when u can:) I saw they advertised that in RealSelf so I mentioned it .. that’s one of the reason he offered it to me - overall I like dr baubac’s clinic .. I also liked dr Rassman’s/ jae pak clinic at new hair institute .. since they also wanted to do a miniaturization test to get a master plan .. n i liked they didnt try to hard sell me:. But I disliked that I had a few noob hair loss questions that I emailed dr Rassman n he didn’t answer my questions directly , but instead sent me links of answers that he quoted online. I know a doctors time is precious but take a moment to respond to my noob questions please.. —

Well I just got a call from the clinic.. the patient consultant informed me that dr. Baubac thinks I should wait for a year on prophecia before I get a hair transplant .. he said there’s a chance that propecia will thicken up my hair and I might not need a hair transplant , or I could need less grafts.. since I am in the early stages of my hair loss and it’s minimal . They said since I still have Vellus hairs in my hairline there’s a good chance that I could get permanent shock loss in that area , n then I end up chasing my hairline . but if after a year and my hair gets worse then they can reaccess the situation.. if it looks like I might bald too much then they don’t want to lower my hairline too much so I can have more for coverage later on .. they said they looking out for my best interest .. and will refund my $2000 deposit ( they usually have a non refundable deposit , unless u give them a 1 month notice ). Well I thanked them n appreciate their ethical practice .. so I guess the Alvi Armani clinic in Beverly Hills under the leadership of dr. Baubac is ethical and doesn’t just want your money but good results and your best interest .. ... I’m kinda bummed out about it .. was kinda looking forward to getting more volume in hairline .. but I also feel like I was rushing into it ..surgery is a big permanent deal .. it’s probably best I wait it out n see how it goes with propecia for 1 year .. P.s but I do know one thing , they will be the first to get my consultation if I do choose to have surgery later on .. I have hyper hydrosis on the head .. where I will sweat a lot on my forehead n head if I do light activities. The weather is warm , or eat anything spicy .. I can see how it makes sense. My family has no history of MPB n I kept wondering why my hair is thinning out .. n I have read on google that hyper hydrosis of the scalp can contribute to hairloss

Hi all .. I have hyperhydrosis on my head .. meaning I swear a lot n easily at the top of my head / forehead.. if it’s hot I’m sweating , if I do do a little exercise I will sweat a lot on my head .. if I eat anything spicy my head will also sweat profusely .. I’m wondering if this has contributed to my hair loss .. I don’t swear in armpits or anything just my head .. All that sweat I think is clogging up my follicles ... what do u guys think ? Anyone have the same problem ?
