Not necessarily saying better condition in terms of donor management but specifically scarring. Obviously scarring is there regardless, but when I saw a couple of pictures from ASMED patients like @dust78, @jonnyalex and @Yaz89 who had procedures a good number of years ago and compare them to more recent cases such as @DEB1982, @Craig2412 and a couple of others, their scars seems to be much more prominent when shaved down/trimmed extremely short imo.
Oh okay, I hear you. Sorry I miss understood what you said.
craig, I’m dreaming of a result like yours .. amazing

Huh? Think the kebot is just used to analyse donor area pre-procedure using high powered cameras and doesn't play a part in the surgery itself.
I know the Kebot doesn’t do the surgery. But its part of the donor management that’s how he tells how many grafts are available to be used.
asmed posted a video introducing it on YouTube.
i also miss read your post I though you were saying that before his donors were in better condition. But your actually saying the opposite which I don’t agree with.

Yea I think they should get rid of that kebot that analyzes donors. Idk if they had that before or not

Would be nice to know which doctor as well.

@Sam818, I have not consulted with Dr. Bloxham yet, assuming his fee is likely highest then the 12-14K I’m already getting from Bosley and Maximhair
I’m Guessing that the independent clinics all charge a consultation fee. So I should probably choose two or three of them also, but I would like to have an approx idea of their fees
He’s consultation fee is $50 but well worth it. I think regardless who you go with in the end, the $50 dollars will be worth it.
Doesnt have to be with Dr. Bloxham. I think

Hey TBcruz, is everything okay?
Yea everything is good. Dr. Bloxham responded and said he’s almost positive that nothing was damaged. Looking at it again my scalp wasn’t cut but looks like it was just a scratch. It looks much better this morning just a red line fading. In the off chance that some damage occurred he said he would fue that part for me.
Also he did say that while it might be over kill he does recommend getting a tetanus shot.
-
I emailed him waiting for a response. I honestly don’t think it’s anything to worry about I just rather it come from him since he has prob seen this happen a lot.
or if this happened to anyone else?

Hopefully this is an option for me in the future. The work looks very good.

Well I have been through the process 3 times and have looked and many results from fut and even they say it moves more hair I don’t see it. Realize that fut is much faster for the doctors and less time consuming for them. That is the reason in my humble opinion they push that as the gold standard. But according to the gurus I must be 1 and a million because by their advice I could never achieve the coverage and density by FUE. Maybe I am just extremely lucky 🤔. Also punch size is usually determined by the diameter of your hair but 8mm can be used even on thick hair so in theory there should no reason why a doctor can’t use that size. Unless your head is a majority of 3-4 hairs per graft. Show me a guy who has done FUT in one pass with no “see through” in bad lights? Which I would assume hairs might able to placed tighter with fue than fut🤔
Also it is ultimately going to come down to how many graft per sq cm placed that will determine your end results.
Well even if we say we can get equal amounts from both. Knowing that more grafts will survive from fut should be enough. I think fut is the gold standard because no matter what kind of hair you have or how frágil your grafts are most of them will survive. Some people do have everything going for them and have an amazing result from fue. I wouldn’t gamble on it tho lol. If I was new to this I would prob do a small run of fues to see how they do and If they did good then I would consider it an option. Because who wouldn’t want to get a great result going fue route? The scaring is less noticeable compared to fut.

Fut is not better
Yea that’s why I said it was not that dense but I think the procedure went good it put hair where I didn’t have hair before. To say ”fut is not better” doesn’t make sense to me or with the facts of both procedures. The point in having a hair transplant is to have hair on your head. The most reliable way of doing so consistently is through fut. Fut does also allow you to move more hair. Those are facts not opinions.
now having scars on the back of your head is a given with both. But I will agree that the strip does limit you from going shorter in the back than fue. I personally think it’s a good trade off. Increase my odds of having a homerun ht (better survival rate and more available grafts) for a scar that I can cover up with smp or fue.
16 hours ago, Guy73 said:I would do another fue using a 8mm punch and use a doctor that could somehow blend that out a little better. All a fut will do is make your situation worse that I promise.
you don’t get to choose the size punch they use on you. The doctor is the one that makes that decision that’s why some fue scars are worse than others. An fut will give you more hair in the end and that’s the whole point of getting a hair transplant is to have hair and we always want more !
Irry88 do some more research. Weight in the good and bad from both. Ask for more opinions these are mine but I suggest you take everything into consideration.
goodluck

Thanks!
he estimated that my second fut procedure would yield around 1700. He did not mention total capacity tho. I guess it’s something I will ask him when I go for my 6 months follow up.
-
Looks good! How old are you and was this fue or fut?
-
Exact scenario with me had 1551 grafts fue and my second ht was with bloxham for 1986 grafts fut
donor doesn’t look bad, Dr Bloxham did mention it affected how many grafts he could of got from fut obviously since my donor was previously picked through.
i have a thread open in my signature with pictures of my scar. I think it looks good.
im happy I went with Dr. Bloxham because it was a completely different experience for the good. Not that my first wasn’t a good experience because it was just wasn’t as dense I wanted. I think with Dr. Bloxham he gave me what I wanted (density).
only time will tell if I’m happy with the final outcome since I’m barley at 1 month post op.
post some pictures if you can and how old are you ?
-
I’m sure he got such a good result (based on his 6 month update) he doesn’t even care for this forum anymore lol. Would be nice if he updated tho

Congrats cahustler, work looks good!!
i think your going to be amazed with this result to be honest. It’s going to change your look for the good.

19 days post op:
What’s up everyone wanted to upload some pictures for you guys and give some updates on how everything is goingAll Hairs have shed and I’m seeing black dots which is hair growing I know it’s too early for it to start growing. Kinda weird like the hairs just broke but are still growing. (Not everywhere)
Pain/discomfort is completely gone to be honest with the ocasional sting once in a blue. Above the scar to the crown is alittle numb still but I feel like everyday that passes is a big improvement.
Looks like I have alittle shock loss at the bottom of the scar which sucks but I do see hairs there they are just see through idk it’s weird. Kinda want it to grow already so the scar is not visible. I have a decent amount of hair in the front so I know with caboki I can mask having had a procedure once it gets alittle longer.
*question I have about fut scar if anyone knows*
1. Is there anyway scars can stretch this far out (3weeks)?
2. When is it safe to say that the chances of a scar stretching is over?
3. When does scar stretching typically happen? 1st week? 2 weeks?
4. How long does shock loss around the scar take to go away?

So yesterday (March 3) was 4 weeks and today makes a 1 month
I don’t know if my grafts are growing or not but I see a whole lot of block dots all over my recipient area. In bright light you can’t see it too well but in the pictures I took you do if you zoom in. I’ll let you guys form your own opinions.
Iam noticing my crown alittle thinner idk if it’s just stock loss or not but I guess only time will tell. Talking about shock loss I’m definitely experiencing it under the scar which sucks and I hope my crown and scar recover.
