  1. I agree, please include a close-up of your hairline if possible.
  2. That's him explaining how he feels and sharing what he has to share at 9 months post op. What were you expecting to say it was a complete waste of your time? As for me, I've been following his updates closely and it has been very helpful for me.
  3. From wikipedia page about PRP: and also: This means, 46 years passed and no real scientific backing has been established. BS sensor tingling.
  4. I agree that if I had the same experience as you've mentioned here, I'd feel bad too - I totally get it. It's just another day at the clinic for the doctors and their staff, but for us patients, it's a huge life altering step so we expect the whole procedure to be executed with the gravity it deserves. Having said that, I myself am a patient of Dr. Bhatti's and my experience was very different. The doctor would keep telling me what he was about to do before actually doing it. For example, I remember very clearly that the doctor said he was gonna use the clipper on my head and got my acknowledgement before doing it. Anyway, there's no reason for you to worry if your questions will go unanswered post op (trust me, you'll have a lot of questions!). From my experience I can tell you that Dr Bhatti sends prompt responses to all emails - which is very important for post-op guys like us.
  5. I use minoxidil myself and as far as I know, minoxidil doesn't cause a burning sensation unless you are allergic to it. If that's the case, stopping the treatment should do it. Hair that has already shed will take a while to start growing again, but it should happen. By the way, minoxidil 5% is not usually prescribed for women from what I know. Please consult a real doctor instead of the hair clinic next time.
  6. I'm glad that Dr. Bhatti has responded in a professional manner and has offered you continued support. I've noticed this multiple times in this forum that Dr. Bhatti takes responsibility and makes the right steps to make things right. This was a major reason I got my HT done by him as well. I hope it all works out well for you. Please do keep us posted. All the best!
  7. I've been on fin for around 11 months now. No sides. I wish I had started earlier.
  8. Yes it's normal to shed most of the hair after 1 month. Yes they do grow a little before they shed. The illusion of growth usually is just the hair shaft that was attached to the follicle slowly coming out to finally shed. I shed most of my hair only after the first month.
  9. Just crossed the 2 months milestone of this crazy journey. I've realized that the worst part starts after the first month. After 1 month, I shed most of the planted hair but some still remained on the scalp and grew along with the other hair. Since the last 2 weeks, I can see a lot of new hair coming out from beneath the skin as you can see in the pics below. Also, I've been noticing some pimples here and there (maybe one or two at a time). I'm applying an ointment to deal with the pimples as advised by Dr. Bhatti whenever I see such pimples. Dr. Bhatti has been promptly responding to each and every email that I've been sending him which is a huge help at times of doubt and distress during this ugly duckling period. There is still some redness along the hairline as you can see in the pics, but I'm not really bothered by it. The ugly duckling phase isn't affecting me as bad I had expected. Maybe that's because I can wear a hat when I have to go to work. Will someone be able to detect an HT looking at my hairline at this point? There is a good chance if the person knows about HTs and if they look close, but otherwise it looks like a balding scalp with some pimples. The donor area is totally undetectable now. My wife closely inspected the scalp at the donor area and she said she absolutely cannot make out any difference between the skin at the donor area and the rest of the scalp. Check out the pics below to see how everything looks at the moment : upload photos
  10. Already a big difference from where you started off. Hope you have a killer result!
  11. I'm nearing 2 months post op and I too saw a few hairs starting to come out after 1 month, but most of them are still under the skin. It's not unusual for some hair to start growing early afaik.
  12. @akdjrd , I am planning to post updates when I'm at 2 months post op (1 more week to go). Regarding growth, I've actually shed more than what has grown so I guess I'm officially at the peak of the infamous "ugly duckling" stage . But I can see many of the hair that I had shed starting to grow again. I shall post some pics and give a better update after a week. Anything you specifically want to know more about?
  13. Looks great! I hope your concern regarding density in the previous update is no longer troubling you.
  14. Going through it right now (1.5 months post op) Everyone sheds. Some don't shed a lot, but most people shed most of their planted hair and also some pre-existing hair due to shock from surgery. As for me, I have a little shock loss at my donor area as well as at my recipient area where I had some thinning. You can expect some redness at the recipient area during this time. Everyone goes through this. I haven't seen a case yet where the patient didn't experience any redness or any shedding of the transplanted hair. If you are going to get an HT, you will have a head that has hair strands of various lengths and thicknesses sticking out during the first few months, no escaping that.
  15. mjht, In the previous update you were not satisfied with the density at the hairline. Has that changed at 6 months ?
  16. IMO 3010 is a lot of grafts for his hair loss! Do you have immediate post op pics of this patient by any chance ?
  17. Looks good from these pics. Do you have immediate post op pics by any chance ?
  18. Wow, that's a remarkable transformation if you ask me. I think your crown has also filled in a bit (or is it the lighting that makes it seem so?) - is that from medication ?
  19. I was surprised to see this : and https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LGxNU01Anj0. Very suspicious looking hair style though.
  20. A lot of planted hair fell off during the last week, but some still remain. I've now started using Minoxidil 5% once a day on the planted area as per Dr.Bhatti's instruction. There's no pain in the recipient or donor area, a little bit sensitivity remains. There's some itching in the donor area which is subsiding as days pass. Seems like I have some shock loss at donor area which looks more evident under harsh light, but not really noticeable under indoor lights. Here are some pics:
  21. As far as I know, shedding is normal. It grows back. I was shedding like crazy (but body hair in my case) during the first few weeks.
  22. I know there are many on this forum who have been taking finasteride for a long time. A few questions to those users who have been taking finasteride for 5 years or more : 1. How has it helped your hair loss situation? 2. What side effects have you experienced and when did you notice them? 3. What's your dosage ? 4. Have you noticed any shedding while on finasteride and when did this happen?
