  1. Yup Feriduni and Bisango are both in Belgium. I suspect Bisango is better known for FUE, and Feriduni may be as well, but I would still keep Feroduni on our top listing due to his hairlines, and remove Bisango completely from the tier 2 list. If we were talking FUE, then diff story
  2. Honestly, it's a huge mistake to limit yourself to a particular state. I made that mistake, and ended up using a tier 2 surgeon. Rather plan to travel and go with one of the best of the best strip surgeons in the world, which are (drum drum): Dr Victor Hasson Dr Ron Shapiro Dr Rahal Dr Feriduni Dr Konior The best part of it, you don't even need to take my word for it, if you do your homework and research research research - then you should come up with the same list. Now picking one of the 5 ...... That's a whole different story
  3. I've just consulted with most of the Cali's list above, and must admit that there is really not much separating Hasson from Konior from Rahal from Dr Shapiro. Dr Feriduni's mega long waitlist of 9 or so months eliminated him, and Dr Konior was marginally the most expensive which eliminated him (I know I know I know - he places the majority of the grafts himself). And then there were three......
  4. Your list is great, although I would switch Bisanga with Feriduni. Also would specify Shapiro as Dr Ron Shapiro. I would also limit H&W to Dr Hasson and place Dr Wong in the 2nd tier listing. That's just me though.
  5. Hey buddy, Based on hours and hours of research, I would recommend either Feriduni of Belgium or Erdogan of Turkey. These two along with Lorenzo seem to be the gold standard in FUE and are producing killer results. Erdogan if you want to be aggressive with the dense packing, and Feriduni for the hairline. Feriduni has a wait list of around 9 months which says it all. Lorenzo's hairline tends to be too high. I'm sure others will add alternative names to the list, but these are my top 3. And before Busa jumps all Over my back, consider Maras as well.
  6. Thank you so much Dr. Feller. Great video and very informative. It blows my mind how many HT patients view not having a linier scar as more important to them than maximizing their lifetime donor supply. Maybe it just is miss information, but I would absolutely prefer to preserve and use every single available donor graft over my lifetime. An extra 2,000 or so lifetime grafts by going with strip makes a significant difference to me. If that means a smiley face on the back of my head later on in life when I eventually have to shave down, then by G-d so be it, I'll take it. I just had an online consultation with a European surgeon for my 2nd procedure (1st procedure was FUT) and he actually said that he would prefer to perform FUE in my case so he can "cherry pick" the exact number of singles, doubles, & trebles as well as eliminate the increased risk of a new scar stretching from FUT as it would be my 2nd strip. I am thinking about sending this "coalition" surgeon the link to your video when I reply to politely decline. Other HT surgeons have all stated I have ample donor supply for a 2nd strip procedure.
  7. Which surgeon did you select? Did he not provide you with any pre-op instructions? If not then it's a very bad sign my friend. I believe you can stay on Fin through the surgery, and in reviewing some of the top ht surgeon pre-op instructions not one of them state you have to go off Fin. Minox seems to vary as to when you stop this. The majority say a week to a few days before surgery. I believe H&W and Rahal recommend to go off Minox 4 weeks prior.
  8. I have to vote for Erdogan on this. I have spent the last quarter of a year staring at photo after photo of a significant number of HT results from different surgeons. Even though I only recently started focusing on the European surgeons, I have to say Erdogan is producing some absolutely brilliant results. He does seem to overcompensate with extra grafts, but if you have the donor supply, then why not, especially as it will guarantee you the wow factor. Why wouldn't you want to bang the prom queen on prom night???I have to admit, I'm not super excited about the other two as I am with other surgeons. They are both solid, but Erdogan and Feriduni stand out to me based on the pictures I have studied. Seeking I've already started with FUT, once I max out my strips, I will eye out Erdogan or Feriduni in the future to finish me off.
  9. Anyone know what Rahal's pricing is these days? Still $4 per graft for FUT?
  10. Good plan mate, gotta protect that massive investment you just made. If that was me I would use both the spray and a hat at all times. I know it sucks on your vacation, but the shade is your friend.
  11. Try looking into Erdoken in Turkey or a European surgeon for your 2nd procedure. They are producing stellar results at a fraction of the cost. Hopefully you can still get a lucky break with this procedure - fingers crossed for you buddy. i
  12. Thanks for the write-up and pictures buddy. Looking really promising!
  13. Just take a look at the results Erdoken and Feriduni are producing, why wouldn't you just go with one of them than play Russian Roulette with your hair and a limited lifetime donor supply
  14. Yes I agree with you that there are thousands and thousands of diff HT practices producing killer results. However, there are also thousands and thousands of clinics producing less than satisfactory results, as well as many butchering patients heads. If I am going to entrust my head and a limited lifetime donor supply of grafts to a stranger, i damn well want to ensure that it is almost guaranteed that I will get a stellar result. No way in hell I am going to risk something like this. I went with a recommended coalition HT surgeon for my 1st procedure who definitely isn't one of the top of the top, and my result was okay. I regret not having gone with one of the top 5, and will be correcting that mistake when I go for my second procedure with one of the best. If you want to go with an unknown, by all means go for it, but ask yourself ... Do I feel lucky punk...
  15. I'd be cautious. See what happened with Sean (diff thread) who was one of Rahal's 1st patients when he started offering FUE? I would rather wait for H&W to season for a bit with FUE, remember all the technicians and support staff need to learn and gain experience with this different technique. It's not just the surgeon. No doubt they will be producing knock-out results in the futurelike they do with FUT - but I would imagine there will be a learning curve and I would suggest letting them demonstrate 1st. Rather go with the surgeons in Turkey and Belgium for FUE. Erdoken, Bisanga and Feriduni are producing some knockout FUE results at a fraction of the price the U.S. surgeons charge.
  16. Thanks for the update bud, hang in there. If you could redo this over, what would you have done differently and which surgeon would you go with?
  17. Fact that there aren't almost any reviews of that clinic online should make your decision an easy slam dunk ...... My advice is to go with a renowned surgeon.
  18. I believe you should avoid direct exposure of the scalp to the sun - full stop - if it's only 6 weeks post op. With that said get yourself a sick hat and the highest SPF spray as insurance.
  19. Thanks buddy, I did consider Konior as well. Very very impressed with his work. There is really nothing separating these top surgeons, so it's tough to choose.
  20. Busa, seeing that my first HT was FUT, and I want to maximize my donor supply, I am going to go with FUT until that gets tapped out and then switch to FUE and potentially BHT to finish off. Smiley face on the back of my head will be worth it if I can get through the rest of my 30s and 40s with a decent head of hair and lots of women.
